A new Fujifilm X-mount camera is believed to be introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014, as a device to bridge the gap between the X-Pro and X-E series.

Two new cameras were supposed to be launched shortly after the Fujifilm X-A1 announcement. The X-E2 and XQ1 have become official, as expected. The company’s fans should have taken a break from all these rumors, however, the rumor mill is not going to let them slide.

After talking about the X-Pro2, which will substitute the X-Pro1, and the X200 full frame fixed-lens camera, which will replace the X100S, sources are talking about yet another Fuji shooter.

According to people familiar with the matter, a new Fujifilm X-mount camera will be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014.

The event will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada next January. The alleged shooter will be placed between the X-Pro and X-E lines, although there is little room between them.

The supposed Fuji camera will be compatible with all X-mount lenses and it should be launched alongside at least one new optic.

Sources are reporting that the unnamed device will not come packed with a hybrid viewfinder, like the X-Pro1 and X100S. It will most likely be an electronic one, like the model found in the new X-E2.

As stated above, the upcoming apparatus will be positioned between the X-E2 and X-Pro2. Should the latter not be coming soon, then it will take its rightful place between the X-E2 and X-Pro1.

But wait, there’s more!

It could be hard to digest all these rumors, but Fuji fans must try harder. Inside sources are hinting that the aforementioned X200 is real and it is a compact camera with a full frame sensor. It should replace the X100S sometime during the second part of 2014.

Fujifilm is planning to move the X-mount towards full frame in very late 2014 or very early 2015. The FF MILC has been rumored before, but it appears that it is finally happening a year from now.

As usual, one cannot wholeheartedly trust rumors until some actual evidence shows up. Well, if you want to catch the latest Fuji news, then you should stay tuned to Camyx!
