More Olympus OM-D E-M10 photos and price details have been leaked on the web ahead of the camera’s launch event scheduled for January 29.

The most popular camera of the rumor mill is the Fujifilm X-T1 which is bound to be announced on January 28. One day later and one spot down is the entry-level OM-D camera that will be called Olympus E-M10.

Fujifilm and Olympus compete against each other in the mirrorless department so it seems like they have chosen to launch new cameras in a similar timeframe.

The difference is that the weathersealed X-T1 is a higher-end model with an impressive set of specifications. On the other hand, Olympus is aiming to provide a cheaper option to photographers, as Fuji is already offering such products, including the X-M1 and X-A1.

A lot of information has been leaked detailing the Micro Four Thirds camera, but now more Olympus OM-D E-M10 photos have showed up online. Furthermore, a source is claiming that he/she knows the price that photographers in the UK will have to pay for this baby.

New Olympus OM-D E-M10 photos leaked on the web

Thanks to the rumor mill, we know what the E-M10 will look like. Olympus is getting back to the roots of the OM-D series with an attractive design. The flagship E-M1 features a large grip, which has received some mild criticism from the experts, as it is against the purpose of a mirrorless camera.

Nevertheless, there is no need for a large grip in an entry-level model, so the E-M10 will be one sexy beast waiting for its customers alongside the new 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. The optic will provide a 35mm equivalent between 28mm and 84mm.

Olympus to sell the E-M10 for £699 in the UK

On the back of the Olympus E-M10 we can spot an electronic viewfinder as well as a tilting display. The top of the shooter houses the control buttons and dials along with the shutter.

A hidden trick of the new OM-D unit is its built-in flash, which stands on top of the EVF and beneath the “Olympus” logo. This is a premiere for the series because neither of the E-M1 or the E-M5 has an integrated flash, although users can attach an external one.

As for the UK price, it seems like retailers will sell this camera for £699. The E-M5 is currently selling for about £750 and $799 in the US, respectively. This places the E-M10 at somewhere around $750, something that the rumor mill has already told us.
