Nikon 1 J4 will be replaced by the Nikon 1 J5 soon, a new camera with a 20.8-megapixel sensor and 4K video recording support.

Nikon 1 J5 announcement date will occur within a few weeks

A new mirrorless camera is preparing to enter the fray and it is the long-rumored 1 J5, which will be manufactured by Nikon. The Japan-based company will reveal the new shooter sometime within the next few weeks, a trusted source says.

There is a strong chance that the device will show up by the end of March 2015, but the launch event will most likely take place in early April. Its predecessor, the 1 J4, has been introduced on April 10, 2014 with an 18.4-megapixel sensor and a hybrid autofocus system that consists of 171 AF points.

The Nikon 1 J5 specs list will include a new 20.8-megapixel 1-inch-type image sensor that will be capable of shooting 4K videos. Furthermore, the mirrorless camera will feature built-in NFC. For the time being, it remains to be seen whether the shooter will come with built-in WiFi, too, or not.

These details are expected to become official soon, so no dot jump to conclusions before the Nikon 1 J5 announcement date. In addition, you should take this with a pinch of salt and to stay tuned for more!
