Both the Nikon Coolpix A10 and A100 compact cameras will most likely be announced in the near future, as their manuals have been leaked on the web.

The beginning of 2016 will be quite busy for Nikon fans. The Japan-based company is expected to announce a slew of products, including the D5 DSLR, some Coolpix cameras, and some action shooters.

Two of the Coolpix models that will become official now have a name. They are called Nikon Coolpix A10 and A100. They appear to be lower-end units and we know this because their manuals have been leaked online. Here is what we can expect from the manufacturer in the near future!

Nikon Coolpix A10 and A100 appear on the web ahead of launch

Nikon Coolpix A10 and A100 will probably be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 or around this event. Manuals appear online sometimes shortly before cameras are officially announced.

The manual of the Nikon Coolpix A10 as well as the one of the A100 have showed up online.

The next major event is CES 2016. If these two models do not become official during the first week of January 2016, then they will be introduced a few days or weeks after this show.

Unfortunately, the manuals of the Nikon Coolpix A10 and A100 are not saying much about their specs. The devices are lower-end compact shooters, so we will not expect to see any breakthrough features inside them.

What else is coming in 2016 from Nikon?

Nikon is rumored to also announce replacements to the Coolpix S33 and S9900 cameras. This pair also consists of compact models. The former will have integrated WiFi technology, while the latter will come packed with a tilting display.

The rumored S33 and S9900 replacements are not the aforementioned A10 and A100. Furthermore, they might not be announced in January 2016, which means that you should not hold your breath over their launch.

After some shy attempts, Nikon will finally enter the action camera market. By the end of next year, the company will release three action cameras. Two of them will compete against the GoPro series, while the third will be a special model featuring two fisheye lenses, similar to the Ricoh Theta.

Finally, the Nikon D5 DSLR is another certainty, as stated above. The flagship FX-mount model is slated to be revealed at the beginning of 2016, therefore we will not rule out a CES 2016 launch. Until then, we will let you know as soon as new details about it become available!
