Nikon D7200 and 1 J5 names show up on Russian website

Nikon D7200 DSLR and 1 J5 mirrorless camera have been registered in Russia along with a slew of compact shooters, all of which will most likely be announced at CP+ 2015 this February.

The Consumer Electronics Show 2015 is over now and some say that it has come to an end too soon because digital imaging companies have not released as many exciting products as in previous years.

Nikon has joined CES 2015, too, and it is among the list of companies that were expected to deliver more cameras and lenses. The Japan-based maker has revealed the D5500 DSLR, the DX-format 55-200mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR II lens, and the FX-format 300mm f/4E PF ED VR lens at this year’s CES.

It appears that the manufacturer has bigger plans for CP+ Camera & Imaging Show 2015, as multiple cameras have just been registered on the website of a Russian agency. The list includes some important names, such as the D7200 DSLR and the 1-series J5 mirrorless camera.

Nikon D7200 registered in Russia, could be announced at CP+ 2015

The Nikon D7200 has been mentioned within the rumor mill several times. Some sources have said that this DSLR would be introduced during Photokina 2014, but these gossip talks have turned out to be inaccurate.

Now that CES 2015 is gone, too, it seems like the camera will become official at CP+ 2015 or around this major digital photography event, after its name has been registered on the website of a Russian certification agency.

The device’s rumored specs include a brand new 24-megapixel sensor, built-in WiFi, 51-point autofocus system, up to 6fps in continuous mode, full HD video recording, and a tilting screen on the back.

Nikon 1 J5 poised to replace 1 J4 in the near future

The Nikon 1 J5 will replace the 1 J4. The 1 series of “J” cameras has been renewed yearly since the first model, the 1 J1, introduced in 2011. The 1 J4 was launched in April 2014, so CP+ 2015 would be the perfect time to launch another mid-range mirrorless camera.

Recently, the 1 J4 has had its price decreased, while the stock levels have dropped, too. These are signs that a replacement is nearing and, now that the camera has been registered in Russia, we can prepare ourselves for the introduction of the 1 J5.

The 1 J4 features an 18.4-megapixel sensor, built-in WiFi, hybrid 171-point AF technology, and high-speed 120fps shooting. We should not expect any less from the Nikon 1 J5, albeit you will have to stay tuned for the specs to be leaked.

Nikon’s upcoming compact cameras: AW130, P900, P610, L840, S3700, S7000, and S9900

The compact cameras that were expected at CES 2015 will probably show up at CP+ 2015. According to Novocert, the list of upcoming models includes the AW130, P900, P610, L840, S3700, S7000, and S9900.

The AW130 rugged camera will replace the AW120, while the P610 will replace the P600. The L840 will succeed the L830 and the S3700 will succeed the S3600.

As for the rest, it is likely that the S7000 will substitute the S6900, the S9900 will replace the S9700, while the P900 could succeed the P530, the P340 or just another camera.

Either way, keep a close eye on Camyx as we will reveal more information as soon as we get it.
