  7. Tonya Holsey

I would LOVE to have Lightroom. I think it would help me out in so many ways. But most importantly the capabilities of dealing with a RAW photo would be #1! I also think it would help me by speeding up my PP time!! It would be a challenge crossing from Photoshop to Lightroom… but I am definitely up for that challenge!!

  8. Jenessa Evans

There are so many words out there to describe MCP Actions… Amazing is what pops in my head when I think of these to help me through my daily routine of editing. I also hit up the blog once a day to check out all the resources you have and read through them over coffee. I look forward everyday to reading them.. I Love you MCP Actions!!!

  9. Carri Mullins

Lightroom 2 would help me save time, by allowing me to batch edit my photos. Time is valuable in this profession, so I think THAT alone would be worth getting it.

  10. Brooke Lowther (Maddiepie Creations)

Owning Lightroom, would really help me with my workflow. It takes me so long, and this would really cut out a great deal of time.

Wow, i’ve heard so much about lightroom. I think the biggest thing that this program would help me with is workflow. I think it would be an incredible tool for any photographer.

  13. Kandra

I’ve been working with PSE7, but I think Lightroom could really help me out more with my exposure. I’m not a professional, and I am still working to get it right SOOC.

  14. kristie kulik

  17. Jill Ellison

Owning Lightroom would help me SO much!! It would save me so much time and help me do things in batch. Time is my biggest issue right now with editing! I lack it and take too much of it to edit!

  18. Jessica

    So fun! I love contests!

  19. Melissa Riederer

I am a PSE user and just took their $299 upgrade to CS4, it will arrive in the mail eventually, I wanted the box, not just a download. I’ve wanted CS for so long, I wanted to be able to hold the box. I wanted to add on Lightroom at the time of purchase, but it was just a bit more than I could spend. I would love to have lightroom to speed up my sorting and basic processing/correcting of photo shoots or family photos. Right now I view the batch of files in a windows preview view of the folder, it is slow and tedious. Lightroom would be such a bonus to streamlining my workflow, especially as I am already burning the candle at both ends.

  20. Jessica Appel

  57. Karly

I’ve never used Lightroom, so I’m not sure how it would help me. I think it would save me time, because I’ve heard that you can edit multiple pictures at once somehow. It’d really probably end up costing me a ton of time because I’d have to play, play, play with it until I got the hang of it! But, I wouldn’t mind! 😉

I’ve had my eye on Lightroom for over a year now. From what I understand with Lightroom I could essentially cut my workflow time in half by combining the steps I’m already doing using Adobe Camera Raw and then photoshop actions. Time is something I never seem to have enough of. I hope the twins pic me.

Having Lightroom in my set of post-processing tools would allow me to edit faster by being able to better batch edit a set of photos to correct for white balance, exposure and saturation/vibrancy issues; plus it would allow me to apply presets in batch as well.

How would owning Lightroom help you? Well, I’ve never used Lightroom, but it seems like all my other photographer friends do and they all speak very highly of it. They all say that it’s a “must have” for photo editing. This is my first year for my photography business and Lightroom has been on my long list of things to purchase for the business. Unfortunately, that list is a long one. It would be great to win Lightroom so that I could take my photo editing to the next level! Thanks for another great contest Jodi!!

Owning Lightroom would help me become more proficient in post processing and give me more confidence in my dreams to one day be a full-time photographer 🙂

  173. Pablo Varela

It will finally put order in my library of pictures!!

I have wanted lightroom for so long so I can begin shooting in RAW w/ confidence. I try to get my exposures correct in camera, but it doesn’t always happen, so this would be an awesome tool..one of the many on my growing list!

  176. Laurie Y

Using lightroom 2 would allow me to have a better and faster workflow, use of some cool actions I’ve seen others use with lightroom etc! I don’t think I even know half the extent that LR2 could help me!

  177. Pablo Varela

I just twitted about it: http://twitter.com/pablovarela/status/4174648447 I’m so excited! Tweet from @pablovarela

  178. Jordan

Darn it – I forgot to answer how – I think that being able to organize and tag my photos, the speed in which you can work through RAW files (unlike the clunky Canon software), and the fact that there is now a spot adjuster (as opposed to the old universal adjustment across the entire image) all makes me convinced that Lightroom would make for an amazing improvement to the time I put into processing. Also, if I don’t win this contest I am a shoe-in for the best run on sentence EVER.

  179. Rebecca

I think it would cut down on some of my editing time, especially when I have a ton of pictures to edit~

  180. Kim H.

Right now I only have PSE, so I would love to upgrade to some new software and help my workflow.

  181. Annie

Oh gosh…Lightroom could save me from my chaotic organization! I’ve been wanting to get LR for awhile, but just haven’t been able to swing it. I keep hearing how great some of the presets are as well. Thanks for the chance to win.

  182. Barb

I think the main way that it will help me is by saving time. The way it will do that is by helping me to be better organized, to more easily go through my photos and delete those I don’t want, to apply the same action quickly to many photos at once, by helping me with white balance, and so much more!

  183. Pam

How would LR2 help me…gosh it might make me push the button on the 5DMII so I can convert my RAW files…yippee!Currently using LR1 with my 40D and want to upgrade soon.

  184. Barb

    Tweeted this! I’m meant2beamom 😀

I am about to purchase LR, however winning would be sooooo much better. Looking forward to being able to do my editing in bulk. I hear it saves a lot of time!!!

  186. Erica Reed

I would love Lightroom! I have heard it’s amazing and I currently don’t have any photo editing software (outside of iphoto). It would come in handy if I follow my dream of becoming a photographer!

  187. Chelsea

Fun! I would LOVE to learn this program. I believe it could help me do my color correcting at a faster pace = more time = more business! Love it!

  188. Danielle

how would lightroom help me ??? well I am just in the beginning stages of getting my photography up and running. and having lightroom to edit in would make life so much easier. rather than sitting all day editing step by step in PSE i would be able to set up actions to help me batch my photos and edit a bit faster.

  189. Danielle

  190. Stacia

Exciting! I would love to win Lightroom. I am not sure how to use it, but I sure hope it would improve my workflow!

  191. Shelley

Right now I have PSE 7 and it takes me a long time to edit photos. I know if I were to receive lightroom it would be a complete time saver. This would help me get my photos edited faster which in the end would give me more time doing what I love to do…spending time with my husband & our twins and of course taking more photos. I really hope to win because I know lightroom would be an excellent compliment to my PSE 7.

  192. Crystal

LR 2 would help me organize my files and big batch process. Also it would allow to to buy a set of Presets I want badly for my Macro work! :O)

  193. Kati

O.R.G.A.N.I.Z.A.T.I.O.N!I would love to use it to help me organize the mess I have created. I am also interested in batch processing lots of similar photos at the same time! Time saver!!!!I am in desperate need of both of those things…organization and time saving!

  194. Melissa

LR would help me edit more efficiently!

  195. Terry Lee

I would love to be able to edit more efficiently and lightroom would help to get to that point as well as help organize my workflow. Batching photos when they only need basic tweaking would really speed things up and maybe I can get more sleep!

  196. Chelsea

  197. angela sackett

Ohhhhhh, let me tell you how lightroom would help me! I stay up till about 3 am four nights a week in Photoshop editing client sessions. Which is fabulous, because I am able to deliver hand-edited images and still be a mom during the day. But man, with Lightroom (I’ve tried the trial version and am scrimping and saving to buy it through crashed cameras and necessary lenses, lol!) I could speed up my processing by so much, and hand-select the images to move into PS. AND I might get to sleep again this century! So it would help me be a more efficient artist and better businesswoman, and a nicer wife and mom. There!

It would help me process portraits more efficiently. Thanks!

  205. Lori Kasbeer

I only have photoshop elements and I did try lightroom on a trial basis and it helped with the S-curve and all the presets were awesome. It would expand what I can do with photos.

  206. Meggan Bobrow

time, time, time. I’ve been wanting to buy lightroom forever – I think it would simplify my workflow and help me get those quick adjustments on photos that don’t need the full PS treatment… oh please twins pick me! 🙂

I am just getting off the ground with my wedding photography business, so money is tight. I have the trial of Lightroom and love it for organizing and tweaking my RAW photo’s. Owning Lightroom would help me maximize my time because it’s very fast to organize those special photo’s and to turn-around edit in Photoshop and use my favorite MCP actions!

  234. Marci N.

This is my first time posting! I would love Lightroom 2.0 – Although I love being organized, a family life with all the added (fun)chaos of three children has made that a wishful dream. Lightroom 2.0 would at least help me to be organized in one area of my life and cut-down on my computer time. I am just starting in this business so I have to be careful with my expenses and this would really help out. Thanks!

  235. Denise

I would love to have it!

  236. Helen

I saw this on a tweet from @Lori520 and am glad I did!It would surely help my senior photo major daughter with editing. She’s worked so hard trying to get through school as quickly as possible in order not to rack up any more bills than absolutely necessary and has been living frugally. This would be a terrific addition to the iMac she hopes to purchase upon graduation!Helen/’Lucy’

  237. Ivy

I use LR1 for the bulk of my editing and would love to upgrade to LR2 – just find myself financially challenged at the moment. Thanks for all you do!

  238. Emily H.

If I had Lightroom 2, it would be a dream come true! I’m currently using CS2. I would love the upgrade. I’ve dreamed of having Lightroom someday, because I hear how wonderful it is. But I’m a stay at home mom, and with my husband going to school full time and only working part time, it will be a long time before we can afford the upgrade. Thanks for this opportunity to win Lightroom 2. I hope I win, otherwise it will be years before I can afford to buy it.

  249. Donna

I find that I shoot so many photos on a given day that I have a hard time sorting through them and often forget what I have. I’ve always wanted to learn Lightroom as a means of organizing and tagging my photos so I know what I have, in addition to being able to edit and manipulate them. Woo hoo – crossing my fingers 🙂

  250. Jacmo

I’m desparate for help with my workflow. In fact, I’ve nearly stopped taking pictures because it gets so overwhelming, yet photography brings me such happiness. So winning lightroom would enhance my workflow, which would get me to pick up my camera again and bring me such happiness! That and I have two enormous vacations planned which should bring me hundreds of pictures to have to sort through. So emergency workflow help is needed!!

I could manage my photos so much better with Lightroom! Lightroom would help me sort, rank cull, and organize my images. I could select photos and turn them to black and white, do batch operations, lens vignetting, selective coloring, and learn about how to use the adjustment brush which I know nothing about. My workflow would be so much faster! Leaving a twitter now! 🙂

I have worked in the much-beleagured printing industry as an account manager for the past 11 years. During that time I have come to enjoy the process of bringing the ideas of creative people to print. I had also begun to explore Photoshop Elements and found it to be a great way to fulfill my creativity. Sadly, in March my employer had no choice but to lay me off. Jobs within the Print Sales industry are pretty much non-existant. However I have been teaching myself Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign at home. Additionally I have been studying Marketing to best understand how graphic design and print fit into the larger picture of promoting products and services. Further I am seeking funding to get a Graphic Arts Computer Certificate from a community college nearby. My hope is to find away to help small independent businesses more effectively brand themselves and promote themselves through print media and the internet. These are the businesses that are hardest hit in the recent economic troubles. However they are also the most underserved within the graphic design, printing, and marketing industries. Ironically enough the technological advances in printing and the internet are well-suited to allowing these businesses to get their message out to a degree previously only available to larger companies.Once I am able to get that enterprise rolling, I would like to offer my services at a reduced cost or free of charge to local non-profit organizations.Any software I could have at my disposal would go along way towards my personal and professional goals. Your consideration is appreciated.

I’ve heard raves about LR and wanted to try it!! I’ve been saving up but this would be a fabulous gift! I look forward to digging in and learning all about what LR can do for me! 🙂

  340. Jackie Beale

this would definilty help me with my post processing. Instead of weeks, it would take me just a few days, that way I can free my life a little bit 🙂 Thank you so much.

  341. MelodyA.

I don’t know how Lightroom would help because I haven’t used it but I really would love to try it. I hear great things about it from Lightroom users.

  342. Melissa

I have been wanting Lightroom but haven’t purchased it yet. I have heard great things about it! From what I have read/heard I think it would speed up my processing time which would be wonderful.

  343. Krysta

Owning Lightroom would help me because it’d allow me to finally start shooting in RAW! My camera’s RAW format isn’t compatible with the version of Photoshop that I run (CS2)… and the free software that came with my camera is really awful. I’ve been wanting to shoot RAW for awhile now, but there’s just been no point in trying it if I have no way to post-process my images.

  344. Shelby Tavern

Owning Lightroom would help me in sooooo many ways!!!! I am just getting started with my photography business and have only used the Photoshop CS4 trials thus far. I have heard amazing things about Lightroom and I recently had the chance to try it on a friends computer and I love it!!! I think it could help me jump start my business and take my editing process to a whole new level! 🙂 Pick me, pick me, pick me, pick me!!!!! 🙂

  345. Kristin

Hi! Swedish mother of two girls, just starting out as a studio photographer here in the south of Sweden! Are in the middle of post-processing my first paid photo shoots – could easily keep me up all night 😉 I’m having so much fun!! Lightroom 2, sounds like something that would help me to give me, my family and my clients a lot more of my time… Keep up the good work, love this blog!

2nd entry has been done!!! 🙂 My facebook name is Shelby Burkett Tavern in Austin, Texas 🙂

  347. Cindi

Just starting up a portrait business – I could only afford photoshop – lightroom is next on the list. This would help tremendously! Thanks!

  348. Steph

Owning lightroom would cut my editing probably in half…

  349. Cindi

I have heard so many great things about Lightroom. I would definitely use it to manage my photographs. I also saw in a demo how you can change WB/contrast/brightness/etc to a lot of pictures at the same time more easily than in ACR. I’m thinking that may be helpful as well! Thanks!

@elenawilkins twitted it too, and it is going on FB at the same time.

  362. John A.

I have always been a Photoshop hound. I swear by it and could never let it go. That being said, owning Lightroom would REALLY help me when processing wedding photos because I shoot sooooo many photos that have similar adjustments and it would also help me in organizing my sessions. Windows just really isn’t that great for organizing… or anything else for that matter. 😉

  363. Christina Dixon

I have been wanting lightroom for awhile now! What a great contest…Thanks Jodi!

  368. Ken B.

I would love to win it for my wife, she’s the best.

  369. Rebecca S

Owning a copy of lightroom would certainly speed up my processing. I definitely need major help in organization and basic handling of photos… I’m not used to dealing with such a large quantity of photos – I need all the help I can get!

  370. Liz

It would be so great for my photography biz. I’ve used the free trial and loved it but just cannot afford it right now.

  371. Bethany Pithan

I’m currently trying to save our local theatre company in town and do all of the publicity (show photos, posters, actor headshots etc.) and we have no funds at this time. I have only been able to use the free trial but LOVED it! I know this program would help me raise the quality of my photos and streamline the work I do so I can continue doing everything else. 🙂 Thanks for offering this chance!!! It would be a blessing!

  372. Holly Irwin

Lightroom would help me speed up my workflow allowing me more time with my family.

  373. Jennifer Duffy

I think it would help to increase my work flow and make things easier instead of harder.Sometimes editing in PS7 can be so slow and tedious…this would be a major step in the right direction to creating better images faster.

  381. Nancy

I am hopeful that Lightroom would help me get organized. I have read about it, and love the idea of having specific collections, and making “virtual” copies of images for experimenting without taking up any actual space on your hard drive!~Nancy

  382. Adrianne

I love LR but I only have version 1.4. 2.0 has many features that will help me to upload my pix faster to the web and for printing. This will improve my workflow so much! Thanks, Jodi!

  384. Melissa

  385. Christy

I don’t have as much time to spend on photography as I would like. I struggle to understand exposure, white balance etc. I think that LR would allow me to be able to play with different levels so I could develop my eye anytime – even when I’m stuck at home and sleepless at 3 AM.

Wow Lightroom 2! I must say when I downloaded my trial a few weeks ago my immediate reaction was I hated it but then I learned a little about its power. It is amazing for organization and click changes. I am the type that has so many pictures that are unedited of my son and Lightroom has helped me go through those quickly and organize them. My harddrive would definitely benefit from Lightroom 2 although I still think CS4 is more powerful for the hard stuff this program is amazing for organizing. I now see what all the buzz is about and winning would mean I wouldn’t have to choose and give up LR after my trial is over. Thanks for the opportunity.

  471. Heidi K

I would LOVE to be a Lightroom Groupie! Woot! Woot!!

I would love to learn photoshop and lightroom. I have been taking photos for many years and feel that it is time to branch out. Lately, I’ve been doing portraits, seniors, babies and just shots to make notecards. I’m also the one with the great camera who gets pulled aside for photos for work, family events and things like that. Using Lightroom would be a great opportunity to take it further and boost the photoshop skills that I am just honing. Thanks for the great giveway, anyone who is the happy recipient will be sure to be elated! Great blog, I learn so much from you!

  498. Taryn

I am also addicted to CS4…but I would love to get to know Lightroom. I hear so many good things about it and I would love the opportunity to use it. My studio partner swears by Lightroom and says that it has greatly decreased her editing time.

  499. Melissa Enfusse

I’m an amateur who loves taking pics of my children and my friend’s children. I can’t call myself a pro, but I do take a great deal of pride in my work. I am an amateur photographer. I love to take and edit the photos I take, but my program is very simplified for the projects I would like to do. A program like photoshop could be a great resource to help me move from amateur to more professional.

I live and die by lightroom, but I’m using v1.4. I’d continue to use LR as my photo manager, but the new functionality and editing capabilities would make my life simpler, and that’s always good when you have a newborn.–Jason

I think it would be a lot of fun to experiment with this. I ahve CS2 now but am trying to expand my skills.

  521. Toni Woodham

I have loved photography for a long time and have over the last year been getting really serious about my “hobby” as my husband calls it (MEN…LOL!). I have finally mastered my Adobe Photshop Elements 7 and I believe that the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 would give me the extra push I have been looking for to turn my passion (hobby according to the hubby) to the next level. Thanks!

  522. Irene

Here is my entry #2 after twittering!!! I just downloaded the trial LR2 – now all I need to do is win! LOL!

  523. Amber Skene

I think Lightroom would help me with my workflow, making it easier to sort through and do adjustments to my captures for my clients. If I could save time editting, then I could have more time with my three kids!

  524. Roberta Frederick

Lightroom would so help me with sorting through, and some processing. on my photos.

  527. Leslie Kerrigan

A fellow photographer friend of mine showed me her photos using lightroom and I was amazed. She explained to me that it is helpful and works in addition to photoshop. I could use all the help I can get so I would love to win to help me be a better, more efficient photographer!! Thanks!!

  528. Leslie Kerrigan

I am a newbie and I would love love love to have Lightroom! I would have to learn how to use it…. but I am excited to figure it out! HA!

  531. Gabby O.

Currently, I am using PS Elements 4.0. Talk about dinosaur! Lightroom would speed up my editing process as well as provide a wide range of editting options to offer my clients. It would be fabulous to be able to edit all my photos at once with the ease of having all files shown as tabs in LR. The faster I can edit, the more time that leaves me behind the lense! @monroefiles – already tweeted this sweet give away! THANK YOU!

  532. Monique Gelnette

I am a single mother of three currently in college for photography. I have a small studio in my house. This would improve my business and quality so much. I hope I get the chance to use it.

  533. Lori Crouch

Since I seem to be exposure-challenged when taking pictures, Lightroom would help me administer first aid to my ailing photos, as well as help to make good photos better. Besides, I love everything Adobe!

i hope i’m the lucky one tomorrow evening, i have lightroom on my wish list for so long but haven’t gotten yet, lots of people love this program and i’ve heard it is a great tool to speed up your workflow….

  535. Cheryl Johnson

I have been using Aperture, with varying levels of success but heard good things about Lightroom however am wary of spending even more money on another application – fingers crossed no 549 is my new lucky number as no.8 has already long been taken 🙂

  536. Karie

How great! I’ve been wanting this for quite some time!

If I was to win the lightroom, it would “lighten” my work load and make room for me to buy more MCP Actions.

I took my son’s senior pictures, and I’m learning how to edit them in Lightroom through an on-line class. I only have the trial version and would love to actually have it when the trial is finished. My goal is to have the senior pictures look like a “real photographer” took them. 🙂

  540. Tara O’Leary

for a starving student going back to school for photography( was a political science major) winning a copy of Photoshop Lightroom would be amazing!!

  541. Sam

I love LR but currently only have v1.4. There are so many new tools in LR2 that I want to get my hands on especially the gradient tool. I really think it will help to push my PP to another level 🙂

  542. Carmen Gomez

Adobe Photoshop is my favorite photo editing software and also Paint Shop Pro. Adobe photoshop has more useful features compared to other photo editing softwares.
