Really Nice Images has released a new series of filter presets for Adobe Lightroom, called Faded Films, in addition to the previously released Iconic Films set.

Really Nice Images became popular after it had launched Instagram presets for Adobe Lightroom. Users of the popular RAW processing tool were able to apply Instagram presets to their photos, in order to compose more creative images.

Instagram is probably the most used photo-editing tool for mobile devices therefore it is natural that some people would like to replicate the images created on their smartphones, on their computers.

However, before Instagram, photographers used analog film cameras instead of smartphones, so Really Nice Images decided to return to the so-called “golden era” of photography.

The Faded Films filter pack is different from Instagram’s filters, as it was designed to replicate analog film effects. The new filter effects can create special photos that remind photographers of the old days, when the digital era was just a distant dream.

In addition to Faded Films, Really Nice Images had already released the Iconic Films filters for Adobe Lightroom. Most of the analog film cameras can no longer be found on the market, therefore it may be an opportunity for young photographers to study the history of photography.

The new pack is aimed at Lightroom users who enjoy adding something different than Instagram-like effects to their images.

The film emulation presets include effects like Agfa Vintage, Fuji Superia, Ilford Delta, Kodak Portra / Portra Print / Portra Warm,  Kodachrome 50s / 50s faded, and Kodak Colour 200 print among many others.

Availability and pricing details revealed, too

Really Nice Images says that the Faded Films presets are available for $79.99, while the older Iconic Films effects can be purchased for $69.99. However, the developer is selling a bundle for $119.98, meaning that customers would save $30, if they buy these two together.

The Faded Films presets for Adobe Lightroom can be bought at the official Really Nice Images website, along with multiple series of Instagram filters, which are also aimed at the users of the photo-editing and RAW processing tool.
