A bunch of live photos depicting the Samsung NXF1 have been leaked on the web, as the string of the camera’s recent leaks continues.

Samsung has been rumored to introduce a new mirrorless camera for quite a long time. It consists of a low-end model with a smaller sensor than the usual NX-mount shooters.

It is called Samsung NXF1 and some live pictures of this mirrorless interchangeable lens camera have showed up online along with more details about its new lenses and prices.

Samsung NXF1 photos leaked online, show smartphone-like thickness

The first thing that you notice when looking at the MILC is its thickness. This is a very thin shooter, which is something that we have been expecting ever since the rumor mill has presented the camera’s first photos and specs list.

It appears that the Samsung NXF1 will measure only 9mm at its thinnest point, a feat that has been previously available only in smartphones and tablets.

The Samsung NXF1 photos also reveal that the camera will be marketed as an “NX mini”. This is another thing “borrowed” from the smartphone industry, as when the South Korean company launches a high-end phone, a smaller and lower-specced model called “mini” becomes official, too.

Samsung NXF1 aka NX mini specs hint at a competitor for the Nikon 1-series

As for its specifications list, the Samsung NX mini sports a 3-inch swiveling LCD screen on the back and a built-in flash in the front.

It will be powered by a DRIMe 4 image processor and will feature a 20-megapixel 1-inch-type BSI-CMOS image sensor.

The specs list continues with a maximum shutter speed of 1/16000th of a second, continuous shooting mode of 22fps, ISO sensitivity range between 160 and 12,800, and full HD video recording at 30fps.

As expected, the photos and videos will be stored on an SD card. The entire catalog of features will be revealed soon, so remain patient for a little longer.

Samsung NXF1 camera and lens bundle release date and prices have been revealed, too

According to inside sources, Samsung will announce the NXF1 sometime in April. The mirrorless camera will compete against Nikon 1 series, but will benefit from an attractive price of $549, which includes a 9-27mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.

The new camera will be released in multiple colors, including pink and white, but the bundle lenses will only be launched in a grey color.

The 9-27mm lens will offer a 35mm equivalent of 24-70mm. Other lenses will be launched, too, including a 9mm f/3.5 optic with a 35mm equivalent of 24mm and a 17mm f/1.8 version with a 35mm equivalent of 45mm.

Samsung will sell the 9mm lens kit for $449, while a 17mm bundle will not be offered. The 9mm, 17mm, and 9-27mm will be sold separately as well. The former will cost $179, the latter $249, while the price of the one in the middle still needs to be determined.

Please note that the prices are subject to change and that we still have to wait for the official announcement to take place.
