A more detailed Sony NEX-7 replacement specs list has been leaked on the web, revealing that the camera will feature new image sensor and electronic viewfinder.

Sony is one of the leaders in mirrorless camera industry, as both Nikon and Canon are struggling to make a breakthrough in this segment. The company is preparing a new shooter this fall and it will serve as the NEX-7 successor.

Sony NEX-7 camera will be replaced by a new model this fall. The upcoming shooter will feature a new image sensor with 5-axis IS, WiFi, novel electronic viewfinder, and ISO up to 25,600.

As sources are continuously leaking information about the device, it appears that a detailed Sony NEX-7 replacement specs list has just showed up online.

The mirrorless camera will support the E-mount interchangeable lens system. However, the mount has been moved a little to the left and it is now deeper, in order to make room for a larger grip.

Sony’s upcoming apparatus will feature a new tilting LCD screen, measuring 3.2 inches and having a resolution of 1.08-million dots.

The image sensor will also be new. It will be an APS-C unit capable of capturing photos at 24.3-megapixel or 6000 x 4000 resolution. Although it outputs the same resolution, sources are claiming that it has been revamped and the quality of the shots should be higher.

The Sony NEX-7 replacement will feature a dust-sealed magnesium alloy design. The hot shoe mount will be standard, but the pop-up flash has been modified. It can be tilted, so that photographers can bounce the light.

The PlayStation maker has altered the built-in electronic viewfinder, too. It provides a 100% coverage, 1.25x magnification, and a 2560 x 1920 resolution.

Its ISO sensitivity ranges between 100 and 25,600. Additionally, it is worth noting that the camera will do RAW shooting.

Since it is a new camera, a lot of technologies will be brand new. It appears that Sony will introduce a new 5-axis SteadyShot image stabilization system, that will provide a 4-stop shake reduction.

Unfortunately, the device does not have a name yet. However, it will support WiFi, so that users can share the photos and videos to a mobile device with ease.

Zeiss will join Sony’s fall party. The new Zeiss 16-80mm f/2.8-4 lens come bundled with NEX successor, in order to provide high image quality.

The company is currently testing the camera, which can do up to 12 frames per second in continuous mode, and an official announcement will most likely occur this fall.
