Photographer Hossein Zare is back with a new series of uncanny images of surreal worlds that are designed to question the viewer’s vision of the real world.

We have featured photographer Hossein Zare in the past. In early 2013, we have been impressed by the Israeli-born lensman’s black and white photography captured with a Nikon D7000 DSLR camera.

The B&W collection has been called “Passenger”, presenting the many paths of a man’s journey and destined to make you think about the meaning of life. The new series may not have a name, but it surely brings up similar questions in the eyes of the beholders.

Hossein Zare’s new photos consist of unreal worlds, which sometimes tend to become mirrors of the real world. The photographer has also decided to take his chance with color photography, although our beloved “Passenger” still shows up in the shots from time to time.

Hossein Zare manipulated photos give us a glimpse of an unreal world

The images in the new series have been cleverly manipulated by the photographer. Once again, it is proven that photography can be taken to the next level with the help of post-processing.

There will always be a debate whether extensive editing should be acclaimed in photography or if we should limit our praises when a shot is definitely photoshopped.

Nevertheless, an artist’s vision of the world can be enhanced with the help of processing tools and we are glad to have been able to see Hossein Zare’s surreal photography.

A great photo is the one that makes you feel something and the drama-filled shots by the Israeli photographer is exactly what you need to see when you get into a dreamy state.

Surreal photography of a passenger that defies authority

According to his 500px account, Hossein Zare is still using a Nikon D7000 DSLR camera with 50mm f/1.4G and 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G lenses.

Moreover, the photographer’s profile says that he is still based in Bushehr, Iran. Regardless of his home’s location, this surreal photography of a passenger living in an unreal world will give you some chills.

Ladders seem to be a motif of Zare’s images, suggesting that we should aim higher or simply climb a ladder in order to question authority and give into our curiosity in order to satisfy our thirst for knowledge.

As usual, check out the photographer’s collection on his official 500px page!
