Canon EOS Rebel SL2 and 80D to be unveiled at CP+ 2016
After announcing the EOS 1D X Mark II, Canon is working on two new DSLRs. The company will reportedly introduce both the EOS Rebel SL2 and EOS 80D by the end of February 2016. The duo will also be present at the CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2016 and they will bear new sets of impressive specifications.
Canon EOS 150D / Rebel SL2 to be unveiled at CES 2016
Canon is expected to be present at the next edition of the Consumer Electronics Show, which takes place in early January 2106. The rumor mill is claiming that the company will introduce a new DSLR in the body of the Canon EOS 150D / Rebel SL2, which will become the world’s smallest DSLR in the process.

Some gossip talks have suggested that Canon will make the switch to an electronic viewfinder when it comes to its entry-level DSLRs. However, a set of Canon Rebel SL2 specs has been leaked online and it contradicts the rumors, as the camera will come packed with an optical viewfinder and several features taken from the EOS 750D.
Canon Rebel SL2 / 150D might be unveiled sometime in fall 2015
Canon is rumored to be working on a successor to the world’s smallest and lightest DSLR camera in the world. The Rebel SL1 is allegedly being on the verge of being replaced by the Canon Rebel SL2. The Rebel SL1 / 100D will be substituted by the Rebel SL2 / 150D this fall with an even lighter and smaller body, a source has revealed.
Canon 7D Mark II, 750D, and 150D DSLRs delayed until Q3 2014
Replacements for the Canon 7D, Canon 700D, and Canon 100D are rumored to have been scheduled for a May 2014 launch. However, “manufacturing issues” with the Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology are said to be the main culprit behind the delay of the Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 750D, and Canon 150D DSLR cameras until Q3 2014.
