Canon 70D finally coming on March 21 or 22
Canon may have finally decided to issue a direct replacement for the EOS 60D. The next-generation camera will most likely be called 70D. An inside source has confirmed that Canon will hold a press event on March 21, while another source has revealed that the new camera is actually coming on March 22.
Canon 7D Mark II to be announced in late summer or early fall
Canon is finally going to replace the aging EOS 7D, says the rumor mill. The new camera is described as a “baby EOS 1D X” and, most likely, will go by the name of 7D Mark II, when it will be unveiled later this year. Information is still scarce, but the new camera is rumored to be aimed at sports and wildlife photographers.

Canon is preparing a surprise announcement at the end of March. According to sources familiar with the matter, the Japan-based company will finally replace the EOS 60D with the 70D. The brand new DSLR camera will be a significant upgrade over its predecessor and will move away from the “super Rebel” description.
Canon announces release date for 1D X and 5D Mark III firmware update
Canon came under scrutiny after users complained that the EOS 1D X and 5D Mark III cameras are having focus problems when using the Speedlite AF Assist Beam. The company acknowledged the issues and announced that it will release a pair of firmware updates to fix the slow focus issues this Spring.
Canon 7D Mark II specs leaked
Canon delayed an EOS 7D replacement for quite some time. The time for that is rumored to have finally come as the specs of the 7D Mark II were leaked on the web. Although it may not serve as a direct replacement for the EOS 7D, the APS-C shooter has all the qualities for taking over the reigns of the camera introduced back in 2009.
Nikon D7100 to be announced during Thai event next week?
In 2012, Nikon upgraded most of camera series, from both DSLR and mirrorless shooter types. In 2013, the company needs to provide a replacement for the D7000, in order to revive its business. February 21st may be “D-Day”, as the company sent invitations to an event in Thailand, where it may reveal a new DX camera and lens.

A report recently published by Japanese media organizations said that Olympus will be forced to significantly reduce DSLR investments. The company redirect all its attention towards the mirrorless camera segment. However, Olympus issued an official statement saying that the reports are false.

The Broken Night short horror movie is now available online. Internet users can watch the film, shot entirely with the Nikon D800, but the viewers discretion is advised as the movie is not intended for the faint of heart. The movie has been directed by Guillermo Arriaga, a well-known writer-director, who won the BAFTA Best Screenplay Award.
