Panasonic has released a new firmware for the GH4 mirrorless camera, which is capable of recording 4K videos. The new Panasonic GH4 firmware update 2.0 is available as a free download right now and it brings 4K Photo mode to the Micro Four Thirds shooter. Panasonic GM1S Blue and Brown “GM1 variations” announced
Panasonic has introduced a couple of new variations of the GM1 mirrorless camera with a Micro Four Thirds sensor. The brand new Panasonic GM1S has been officialized in Japan in Blue and Brown colors. Although the biggest change is an aesthetic one, the GM1S does come packed with a couple of improvements over the GM1.
Digital Bolex 10mm, 18mm, and 38mm f/4 C-mount lenses released
Digital Bolex has finally released its Series 1 lenses. The brand new Digital Bolex 10mm, 18mm, and 38mm f/4 prime lenses are all designed for C-mount cameras and will do a fine job at capturing both stills and videos. The optics are available individually or as a set, and they can be easily mounted on Micro Four Thirds cameras.
Olympus E-M5 replacement is “ready”, says company’s president
Ogawa Haruo is the President of the Imaging Division at Olympus. The company’s representative has made some interesting claims during an interview at the Photokina 2014 event. When asked about the Olympus E-M5 replacement, he said that the mirrorless camera is “ready” and that it is the next in line for an official announcement.
Olympus 300mm f/4 and 7-14mm f/2.8 lenses spotted at Photokina
The first real-life photos of the Olympus 300mm f/4 and 7-14mm f/2.8 PRO-series lenses have been revealed. Prototypes of these Micro Four Thirds optics are on-display at Photokina 2014 and they are drawing a lot of attention at the world’s largest digital imaging event. Olympus’s reps are also claiming that the optics are coming in 2015.
Panasonic Lumix G 14mm f/2.5 II ASPH lens launched
Panasonic has made two more lens-related announcements at Photokina 2014. The first is referring to the Panasonic Lumix G 14mm f/2.5 II ASPH lens, which will become available on the market by the end of 2014. The second actually confirms the development of the 30mm f/2.8 Macro lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras.
Voigtlander 10.5mm f/0.95 Nokton lens becomes official
Voigtlander has revealed several new lenses at Photokina 2014. There are three new Leica M-mount models and one for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The most interesting of them all is the latter which consists of the Voigtlander 10.5mm f/0.95 Nokton lens. It comes with a really fast aperture and it should be released soon.

Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO lens officially announced
Olympus has unveiled the company’s second PRO-series lens for mirrorless cameras with Micro Four Thirds sensors. The brand new Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO lens will offer a 35mm equivalent of 80-300mm, which can be extended to 112-420mm, courtesy of the also new MC-14 1.4x teleconverter.
