Blackmagic Design has taken the stage at the National Association of Broadcasters Show 2014 in order to announce a new 4K camera. It is a different camera as it allows users to change the image sensor and the lens mount. The new Blackmagic URSA is an amazing modular shooter and it is coming to the market this summer.
JVC GY-LSX2 and GW-SPLS1 4K cameras spotted at NAB Show 2014
JVC Kenwood has revealed a pair of 4K camera prototypes with Micro Four Thirds lens mounts at the NAB Show 2014, as promised. The JVC GY-LSX2 and GW-SPLS1 share the same image sensor, but their specs lists are a little different. The shooters are still in development and their launch details will become official at a later date.
Sony A7S mirrorless camera announced with 4K video recording
The speculation is over now as Sony has introduced its FE-mount mirrorless camera capable of recording 4K videos. The Sony A7S is now official, courtesy of the NAB Show 2014 event, and it promises to deliver high quality video recording with full pixel readout, wide dynamic range, extended sensitivity, and many other features.
Atomos Shogun becomes first 4K recorder to support Sony A7S
It did not take very long for someone to announce the first external recorder to be compatible with the new Sony A7S mirrorless camera. The Atomos Shogun is its name and it is on-display at the NAB Show 2014. The manufacturer adds that this is world’s first 4K HDMI / 12G SDI recorder / deck and will be released later this year.
JVC Kenwood to release a Micro Four Thirds 4K camera soon
The Micro Four Thirds system is about to get bigger. JVC Kenwood has publicly revealed that the company will launch a 4K camera in the near future. The device will feature a Super 35mm image sensor and support for Micro Four Thirds lenses. The recent period has been fruitful for the MFT mount as Kodak has also joined the system.
DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ officially unveiled at NAB Show 2014
Although it was released less than six months ago, the DJI Phantom 2 Vision has just been replaced at the NAB Show 2014. The newer and better model is called DJI Phantom 2 Vision+. It features a new stabilization technology, enhanced WiFi communication range, and several other improvements.
New Sony A7S specs leaked on the web ahead of April 6 launch

After saying that no new gear is coming at the event, sources are reporting that the Canon C200 and Canon C400 camcorders will become official in early April. The duo will be able to record 4K videos, replacing the non-4K C100 and C300 cameras.

The event will allow visitors to break down the doors on April 7, although companies will hold their press conferences as of April 5.
Tokina AT-X 11-16mm T3.0 cine lens officially unveiled
Tokina has officially announced the price and release date of the AT-X 16-28mm T3.0 cine lens for the US market. Moreover, the company has unveiled its second cinema series in the body of the Tokina AT-X 11-16mm T3.0 cine lens, which will be released this April for Canon DSLRs with APS-C sensors and Micro Four Thirds cameras.
