Samyang to launch three more XEEN cine primes in early 2016

On August 10, 2015, Samyang introduced three Rokinon-branded XEEN-series prime lenses designed for professional photographers. The company has just confirmed that it will reveal three more XEEN cine primes in early 2016. On the other hand, the rumor mill has leaked the possible focal lengths of the upcoming trio.

Samyang officially unveils Rokinon XEEN cine prime lenses

Just like the rumor mill predicted, Samyang has revealed the Rokinon XEEN series of cine prime lenses today, August 10. There are three new optics, all with a maximum aperture of T1.5. The three models are offering 24mm, 50mm, and 85mm focal lenghts. They have been designed to cover full-frame sensors and are coming soon!

Samyang has taken the wraps off of the Rokinon 12mm T3.1 ED AS IF NCS UMC fisheye lens. The new optic has been designed for cinematography purposes and cameras with full frame sensors. The Rokinon-branded lens will become available for purchase in December 2014 for Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Pentax cameras.

Its specs are also listed, indicating a fisheye lens specially crafted for owners of Nikon 1-system mirrorless cameras.

Samyang is rumored to announce a new lens with electronic contacts for Canon DSLR cameras, after recently introducing the first model for the Japanese camera maker. The Samyang 85mm f/1.4 AE lens appears to be the designated product and it will become available sometime in the near future, says the rumor mill.
