Voigtlander 10.5mm f/0.95 Nokton lens becomes official

Voigtlander has revealed several new lenses at Photokina 2014. There are three new Leica M-mount models and one for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The most interesting of them all is the latter which consists of the Voigtlander 10.5mm f/0.95 Nokton lens. It comes with a really fast aperture and it should be released soon.

Cosina announces Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95 Type II lens

Cosina has introduced a revised version of a Voigtländer lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The new Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95 Type II lens now features a clickless aperture, a welcomed feature for videographers. Other than that, the optic will provide the same 35mm equivalent of 50mm and ultra-bright aperture of f/0.95.

Earlier this year, Voigtländer surprised the world with another super-fast lens: the Nokton 42.5mm f/0.95. The company has revealed that the lens will become available later this year, but failed to announced any specific dates. Well, Cosina has broken the deadlock, by disclosing the lens’ August 2013 release date.

Voigtländer continues the company’s tradition with the launch of two new Nokton prime lenses. Both of them have fast apertures, however, the 42mm f/0.95 features one of the fastest apertures for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The second is an aspherical lens and will become available in two colors this summer.
