In the past few months I have taken the MCP Blog for a ride.  I have tried lots of new and exciting things, from big name contests to having guest bloggers on a huge variety of topics.  I have brought you “watch me work” videos, photoshop tips, some free actions and just shared photos.

So, now is your time to let me know what you like most.  What do you want to see more of and less of.  Please vote in the 3 polls so I can see a snapshot of your thoughts.  And also feel free to comment in more detail.  While I do not like mean people I do love constructive feedback so please tell me your thoughts so that I may grow the blog.  I am excited to hear from everyone.  Please do make sure you comment on the blog not direct to me (so I have all thoughts and ideaas in one place).

These comments along with the polls, will help determine “where I take the blog from here…”

BRIBE!!!!  Did you need a little bribe?

One lucky person will be picked from the comment section – so vote in all 3 polls and explain your answers in more detail in the comment section.  The “BRIBE” Prize – $50 Gift Certificate to spend toward at MCP ACTIONS (good for actions only)!

The Winner will be picked once there are 300 comments.  If we do not reach it by end of the month, the prize will have to resurface in another way in the future.  I really want an active sampling – and since I have been getting 1,500-2,500 visits a day, I hope to reach this (with the little bribe…)  I am excited to see the results.

Thank you  for being a part of my little MCP world – Jodi

  6. Kara on March 12, 2009 at 11:41 am

Love your website and LOVE following you on Twitter! It helps me remember to check each day or when something new, I don’t like to put your site in my google reader because I always like to come so Twitter reminds me to come over! I love everything that you do, there’s always something useful. I think one thing you could redo is how to create a watermark, especially the bar types!

  7. jess on March 12, 2009 at 11:43 am

Hey Jodi… coming out of lurkdom to actually leave a comment, LOL! I read your blog daily and I truly do enjoy EVERYTHING you do- I love that you change it up and have such a great variety (and I do love the personal stuff too!). Keep on rockin’ it girl… you’re the best. 🙂

  8. Sarah V on March 12, 2009 at 11:45 am

I follow several photography blogs and yours is by far the most well-rounded and interesting while still staying informative and helpful to people of all levels (without making it seem like you are directing things at any one level). I am sure it will remain successful and helpful regardless of whichever direction you go with your blog.

  9. Sharon on March 12, 2009 at 11:47 am

You’re awesome Jodi! I’ve learned so much from you. 🙂

  10. Sunshine on March 12, 2009 at 11:47 am

Ooh, that was fun! And totally painless. Although I don’t know how helpful it was, because I really do not think you should do “less” of anything. Your blog is always interesting! 🙂

  11. Tina Harden on March 12, 2009 at 11:50 am

Jodi – I love you and the MCP Blog just as they are. I think you have the perfect mix going on. I have learned so many things from youi in such a short period of time and I love my MCP actions.

  12. Irene on March 12, 2009 at 11:52 am

Oh I love it all!!! You definitely are one of my favorite blogs. The only thing I don’t really pay much attention to are the discount coupons…unless started offering some for your actions????? That would be sweet! Thanks for everything!!!

  13. Vicki on March 12, 2009 at 11:52 am

I love your tutorials. Video tutorials and Watch Me Work videos are to the point and very helpful and there’s always an extra little nugget — some shortcut or “did you know” morsel to chew on. Thank you! I also like screenshot tutorials a lot. Before and afters are SO useful — it’s helped immensely to see how a kind of blah photo (I’ve got plenty of those) can become pretty darn good!Love the guest bloggers, too. Q&A can get kind of same same same after a few — I like it better when there’s a short set of standard questions (including a random off-topic one or two) — usually guest bloggers or interviewees KNOW what we want to know. I feel that this area could be combined/streamlined and potentially AWESOME!Thank you so much for all that you do and sharing so much with us.

  14. Tami Payne on March 12, 2009 at 11:53 am

I love the site, really not only enjoy visiting but also get a lot of wonderful, insightful information. I am also on myspace.

I love your blog! You’re extremely informative and I LOVE your actions! I would love to see more tutorials about really working from the ground up with photos. I would also like to see something more related to the business side of things. Thank you for being so wonderful!

  16. Hillary on March 12, 2009 at 11:54 am

I anticipate my emails that come from your blog!! I don’t know where I would be without your tips and advice. I have learned so much from everything you blog about. I love all the tips and tricks, the info from other professionals. To know that everyone started small, just like me! I think everything you are doing is great!!! I am upgrading to CS so I can be more involved, pse user and just always am left out, haha! But thank you for everything you do!!!! Soo much appreciated!!! 😀

  17. Karen on March 12, 2009 at 11:57 am

I always learn something when I come here- Thank You!!

  18. Wendy M on March 12, 2009 at 11:57 am

I have a limited amount of time each morning to check email, Facebook, blogs, etc. Yours is one of the ones I look at religiously. I know that I will find something to help me learn to take pictures better, to use photoshop easier, or just to laugh. We don’t know each other personally, but I feel like we do. One thing I appreciate about you and your business is the fact that I can email you or send you a message on Facebook, and you respond. There are lots of sources of actions and tutorials out there, but I purchase yours because the of the great service. Oh, and the actions are fabulous too! 😉 Please keep the great stuff coming!

  31. Jenny on March 12, 2009 at 12:45 pm

I love your website just.the.way.it.is. It is awesome. Everything is presented in such an easy-to-follow format. If you change anything, don’t change it much because this format works for me… Thank you for taking your time and talen to help us.

  32. Amy on March 12, 2009 at 12:47 pm

Thanks for a great resource. I love the custom white balance lens caps and might never have found them if not for your review.

  34. Carli on March 12, 2009 at 12:53 pm

I LOVE the photoshop video tutorials, while I like pretty much everthing on this blog, the video tutorials are definitely my #1 choice. They are so helpful! I also really enjoy the photographer interviews a lot. As far as social networking, the primary site I use is facebook, but occasionally I log in to myspace as well.

  35. Tamara Stiles on March 12, 2009 at 12:59 pm

I really like everything about your site. I have enjoyed your workshops, actions, tutorials, all the information you have shared with us and who can pass up freebies!

  36. Emily on March 12, 2009 at 1:01 pm

I love your site because I love seeing your before and afters! I don’t even own Photoshop! It’s like watching Bob Ross paint. Even though it’s an instructional tv show, I just like watching the magic in the making!

  37. Alisha Shaw on March 12, 2009 at 1:04 pm

I just love the blog! My RSS feed keeps me posted so I don’t miss any of the fun things you offer. Your classes have been amazing and I really appreciate you sharing your talent. The actions…oh man the actions…speak for themselves! They are truly amazing! I hardly edit a photo any more without using at least one of them (TOL & TOD are my favs). What would I be without MCP?!!!

  38. Teresa on March 12, 2009 at 1:04 pm

You are such an inspiration and source of information! I love everything you have, and especially your Watch Me Work video tutorials. I check your blog every day, and am always finding great info. Thank you!!

Hey Jodi, Brittany here from OPS – love your stuff. Love your work, glad to “know” you! Keep up the great work!

  43. NiccoleCarol on March 12, 2009 at 1:26 pm

I LOVE everything about your blog but I absolutely LOVE the video tutorials. They are prepared and presented perfectly. Keep up the amazing work on your blog … it is the 1st one I check every morning 🙂

  44. Paul Kremer on March 12, 2009 at 1:28 pm

Honestly, Jodi, I don’t think I would change a thing. Your blog is one of the few that seems to find that perfect balance. You always have regular updates that are always worth reading, without having 5 a day and having to skip them. I especially enjoy the video tutorials where you show us how to better use your actions. And don’t listen if people tell you not to post about your family…if it were every other post, that might be a bit much, but you strike a very nice balance. Besides, it is YOUR blog, and if you want to put up pictures of your girls, then do it! hehe!

  45. Melanie on March 12, 2009 at 1:29 pm

Thanks for all of the sharing you do, and for caring enough to ask your viewers what they would be interested in!

  46. Missy on March 12, 2009 at 1:30 pm

I voted!Jodi, I appreciate everything you do! I think what keeps me coming back is the Photoshop tips and the contests. You do a great job with variety and I love it all. I don’t Twitter…I guess I think it’s just one more thing to do! Cuz I Flickr and am on Facebook so that’s enough for me!

  47. HeatherA on March 12, 2009 at 1:35 pm

Jodi! I am amazed by you girl! You are incredible! So awesome to watch you pursue your passion & live a dream! I love your blog. I so appreciate all of the hard work that goes into it! I have learned so much & am continually inspired by your posts! Thank you!

  48. Brooke Lowther on March 12, 2009 at 1:36 pm

I absolutely love your site. You are such a great reference tool for photographers.

  49. Jen on March 12, 2009 at 1:37 pm

I’m pretty new to your site, but so far I have loved everything I see. I guess if I had to say what I would like more of, it would be more Photoshop Elements stuff, and I know that is tough, but that would be my only comment.

  50. Missy on March 12, 2009 at 1:40 pm

Thank you making this a place I like to visit often. I don’t do a lot of social networking, although I am a member of flickr and Facebook. I don’t want technology to take over my every waking moment. It is so easy to do! You don’t need to change anything!

  51. Sara on March 12, 2009 at 1:41 pm

I love your blog! Your before and after images are always great and the guest bloggers (especially on newborn photography) have been incredibly helpful!! Thank you Jodi!

  52. Brandi on March 12, 2009 at 1:42 pm

I love the variety of content on your blog.

  53. Charlene Hardy on March 12, 2009 at 1:45 pm

Thanks for all the time and effort you put into your blog. It is very well organized hence I keep coming back. I like it when you share personal items it lets me know you are areal person. The tutorials have been so helpful to me as a newbie. Thanks again, I know it takes a lot of time to put together such a great blog. PS I have taken all of your group classes so far and have learned so much from every single one, that is probably the best thing about your website, I look forward to more in the future.

  54. Karen on March 12, 2009 at 1:55 pm

I just love your blog, the way you have it is like I know you and your girls =)Love when you do the before and after, you are the master!!! that’s one of my favs! Please keep this blog alive it rocks!!

  55. Sarah D on March 12, 2009 at 1:58 pm

I have really enjoyed following your blog. I found it by chance on a google search and have added you to my regular list of daily checks. I have appreciated the tutorials and tips and have had fun with the contests and give aways. As for constructive critisism… I am at a loss. I can tell you that my favorite thing you do is the before and after pictures with an explanation of how you did it. Thanks for putting so much time and effort into this blog. I have loved following you!

  56. karen on March 12, 2009 at 2:03 pm

I also enjoy your blog. While of course everyone likes free stuff, your actions are great! But I get the most out of when you do the before/after and explain the process inbetween (especially when run an action and then how to play with the layers/settings to enhance it even more).Thank you so much for sharing!

  57. Andrea on March 12, 2009 at 2:05 pm

I keep a FB acct but I am a FB slacker, hence the reason for not signing up for twitter or flickr – I just cannot allow yet another site to consume my time (and I know those are all hard ones to walk away from!). The only thing I really voted nay for was the “photog and ps product reviews” and the only reason I voted no is because I think that photographers, whether newbie, intermediate or pro are all over the board (some shoot Canon, some Nikon; some use Gimp, PSP, PS; yadda, yadda) and some posts do not pertain to certain viewers. What do I know?!?!? Am I even making sense? Is it Friday yet?You are a RockStar Jodi. I check in on you daily – I’m always anxious to see what’s new in your MCP World, what new tips and tricks you have for us, what new sets you’re releasing, what new workshops are available. I think you’re a PS ~genius~ I’d love to see more from, what I belive, to be your strongest offering (PS techniques). Gratze for keeping everything rolling over here. Mwuah!!

  58. Rebecca on March 12, 2009 at 2:15 pm

I have learned a lot from you and I always know that when you have a tip, it is valuable! I just love tutorials and ideas from you! Thanks for your great blog!

  59. EB on March 12, 2009 at 2:16 pm

I voted! I am getting ready to order some actions and don’t want to wait until the contest. I will go ahead with my order and if I win then I’ll get some more. I’ve definitely got my eye on bunches of your wonderful actions!

  60. Jen@ODBT on March 12, 2009 at 2:32 pm

I discovered your blog via I heart Faces and love everything you do. I’m not quite there yet with PS but you’re on my reader so I can keep up with your tips. Thanks!

  61. Johanna on March 12, 2009 at 2:33 pm

It’s a good day when a MCP blog shows up in my reader. I love this blog!! I love the before and afters, the tips, the q & a’s, I love it all!! Keep up all the good work and thanks for what you do.

  62. Silvina on March 12, 2009 at 2:35 pm

I love love love your blog, so rich with awesome information! I feel like a sponge every time i read it and have learned tons from it. Whatever you do, just keep on blogging!Thank you Jodi!

  63. Julie on March 12, 2009 at 2:41 pm

I love the photoshop tutorials and videos the best! Sometimes I feel like the guest blogging gets to be a bit much — the occasional guest blogger is fun, but when it feels like it gets to a guest blogger every week… well, I read this blog because I am interest in what YOU have to say; if I wanted to read what they had to say, I’d be reading their blogs!

  64. Tiffany on March 12, 2009 at 2:48 pm

I check your blog obsessively…I love all that you do and the variety of things you post. Great job!

  65. Amy on March 12, 2009 at 2:55 pm

I absolutely love your before and after posts. These posts really help me learn your steps and show me what actions work best with certain photos. I also love all of your Photoshop tips, whether the post is a video training session, a quick tip, or screen shot tutorial. Please keep them coming!!!!!!

  66. Jolie Anne on March 12, 2009 at 2:56 pm

Thank you for everything you do! I cant wait to have the funds to buy actions from ya!

  67. Lori on March 12, 2009 at 3:00 pm

I have really enjoyed learning w/your website. I purchased an action set and L.O.V.E. it!

  68. Melinda on March 12, 2009 at 3:03 pm

I love how informative your blog is. Even when you just post photos, I am able to see what a post processing job should look like. Great job, Jodi!!

  69. Candace Sheets on March 12, 2009 at 3:18 pm

I love your site and how you share your knowledge. I especially love the video and screenshot tutorials. I have also purchased and use your actions, they are very helpful; I would like to buy more if the price was a little lower. I think what you do is amazing and you are very talented. I love to learn from you and can’t wait to learn more. Thank you for sharing!

  70. Beth B on March 12, 2009 at 3:22 pm

Jodi-I LOVE the blog, I am a follower and look forward to all the new posts in my dashboard. I didn’t know you had a group on Facebook & Twitter. I am off to join right now. Keep up the great work! You rock!P.S. I also attended the color fixing workshop and LOVED it!

  71. Michele on March 12, 2009 at 3:23 pm

I love your blog and everything about it…..including your personal pictures (as I have been following the girls since Ebay!).I’m not crazy about contests cuz I never win, and I’ve stopped hoping.Your actions are great, and I love the 2 classes I’ve taken. I want more of both.Best of all, I love your freely sharing tips, techniques, videos, etc.Thank you…..you are making me expand my horizons.

  72. Vanessa on March 12, 2009 at 3:24 pm

  73. Chevy on March 12, 2009 at 3:29 pm

I L O V E your blog! I love everything about it. lOl I have a bunch of your actions, so to see them being used here, and given ideas on how to mix them up a bit.. Awesome. :0) I think you do a fabulous job of updating and keeping things interesting. Thank you for everything you do!!-Chev

  74. MegganB on March 12, 2009 at 3:31 pm

Took the polls – thanks for all your work!

  75. Stephanie on March 12, 2009 at 3:34 pm

I love your blog and webinars. I have learned so much. I actually just took a Photoshop college course. I learned more in the two hour Curves workshop with you than I did the whole semester. I can’t wait to take the color correction on the 18th. I can’t wait for the next section of the newborn photography tips.

  76. Rebecca Timberlake on March 12, 2009 at 3:36 pm

My favorite thing about your blog is the variety. You never know what you’ll get next, but you know you’ll love it. I really love the before/after posts with the descriptions of steps it took to get there. It is always encouraging to see how you can take a good picture and make it great. Thanks.

  77. John on March 12, 2009 at 3:38 pm

I actually appreciate most everything you’ve posted. I’ve particularly enjoyed the Q&A stuff with others lately. Coupons & giveways are always compelling, even though I never win. :-(As for the Facebook, Twitter & Flickr groups – I had no idea they existed. I use Google Reader and am rarely on your actual site, but even so – as I’m leaving this comment – I don’t see any indicators on their existence mentioned in the header or footer. Maybe an occasional footnote in a blog post to inform/remind us would be good…

  78. Annie on March 12, 2009 at 3:39 pm

I love the guest bloggers and interviews because they usually showcase the business aspects and answer tough questions. I also love the photoshop quicktips and, of course, the freebies. Your content is amazing and your contests rock!! However, if I HAD to choose something that would help, I would maybe suggest that there would be more than one of an item to give a way. I know that for the big contests that isn’t always possible but when you’re giving away books and such it would be nice to feel like there’s more of a chance to win. That way more people will win!

  79. Beth on March 12, 2009 at 3:39 pm

Thanks! I appreciate your site! I think some of my favorite posts are the newborn session tips and the Q&A on photography. I also like how you use storyboards.

  80. Tira J on March 12, 2009 at 3:40 pm

Love your blog and all of your products. Oh, and I LOVE you too! I appreciate that you are just as connected as I am with all of the key social networks and photography forums. I am also part of your [b]school group. One thing that I would change is that I think more photographers should give you credit where credit is due. You have done so much for the photography community with your actions, print it and blog it boards and other products. And you have helped all of us make more money and showcase our work in front of our clients, so I am sad that you have been left out. I am guilty. So, I am sorry. I would change the contests. Way too many. I come to your blog regardless, so I don’t need a contest to entice me. This time, this is it. I would like to see you partner with Design Aglow. Either write an article or have them feature you. Seriously!!!!! And if it has been done, then tell me which issue it was so I can go back and read it. Love you Jodi!

  81. Jill Ellison on March 12, 2009 at 3:43 pm

I love following you on twitter! I am so excited you have a facebook group. I had no idea! I LOVE your actions and think it would be fun for you to let people submit pics every few weeks and show what your actions can do with them (of course you pick only 1 or 2 to do). That may fill up your email box fast 🙂

  82. Sara on March 12, 2009 at 3:45 pm

Well I voted and just so your aware all your posts have helped me sooooo much!! In fact your tips and tutorials have actually given me the ‘boost’ that I needed to jump off the bridge and start up my own business. Thanks so much and I hope that you keep it all coming!!!

  83. Heidi on March 12, 2009 at 3:46 pm

I pretty much love everything about your site. I couldn’t suggest much. I love your recent VARIETY! All of it has been outstanding and informative! Thank you for sharing your time and talent.

  84. Emily on March 12, 2009 at 3:55 pm

I love the video tutorials. I have learned so much from your blog. Before I found your blog I had no idea how to use layers- at all. I had PSE for 3 years and hadn’t done anything more than crop. Makes me laugh now. I also have a couple of your actions and use them all the time.

  85. Kori on March 12, 2009 at 3:55 pm

I voted as well. Thanks so much for everything you do!! I LOVE it all!!!

You have an awesome blog, keep it coming. The other network I use is NING.com

Probably my most favorite posts are those that involve free stuff, contests for free stuff, and photoshop tutorials!! Did I mention that I love free stuff?!? haha…who doesn’t? But seriously, I really get a lot out of the Photoshop tutorials and truly appreciate them as I am a self-taught learner of both photography and graphic design and am eternally grateful to those who choose to pay it forward in a manner of speaking. Also, while those three things are my faves, there really are NO kinds of posts I’d like to see you drop or reduce. I think it’s great when photographers show a little bit of their personal side even on their professional blogs. And as to the last question, I am going to go look for your MCP Flickr group now…I am with you on everything else already…thanks again!

  88. Wendy on March 12, 2009 at 4:06 pm

I have never commented before but I check your blog DAILY at least 🙂 sometimes more… I have purchased some of your actions and LOVE them you are awesome and your blog is such a fabulous resource!

  89. Tracy on March 12, 2009 at 4:09 pm

I recently discovered your website, and am a big, big fan. I especially love your interviews with photographers. Keep up the fabulous work! =)

  90. Diane Stewart on March 12, 2009 at 4:10 pm

I love learning about all your guest bloggers about photography. (love, Jasmine Star) Very interested in everything on your blog. I look at it daily to see what is new. I enjoy the photo tips, tutorials and of course the freebies. I like seeing what you do with photos. (before and after with your actions) Thanks for blogging so much….

  91. Ally on March 12, 2009 at 4:15 pm

I absolutely love your blog. I am so anxious to learn all that I can and grow in any way that I can that I appreciate just about every little thing that gets put on this site. Thank you so much for putting all the effort and work you do. It means a lot and helps greatly!

  92. candice on March 12, 2009 at 4:16 pm

I really enjoy the video tutorials. I love following along with photoshop open and being able to pause and rewind. I have learned so much from your from your blog! Thank you.. Thank you.. Thank you!!!

  93. tracy on March 12, 2009 at 4:23 pm

jodi, i love everything you do. your blog is one i come back to again and again. so much variety and you update it constantly which is nice for blog-nerds like me!

  94. Julia on March 12, 2009 at 4:28 pm

This is one of the best photography sites I’ve stumbled upon recently! I love seeing your new posts on my Google Reader. I’m a poor college student, but when I save up enough money, I’ll definitely be buying some actions 🙂

  95. Jeneanne Ericsson on March 12, 2009 at 4:35 pm

I love the blog. I think a mix like you have is good. too much of any one thing gets stale. I am on facebook, but really haven’t gotten into twitter. None of my clients are on twitter, so it would just be about networking with other photographers, which I get enough of on forums and such. I know its the “hot” talked about thing. Not sure it has staying power…and is time consuming.I also haven’t gotten into flickr, but I am considering posting there more. That seems more about personal growth, and getting inspiration.I’m on facebook more for personal reasons than business, but many of my clients facebook, so it is a marketing tool as well.Anyway, those are my 2 cents.Great job on the blog, I follow it via google reader.

  96. Debbi on March 12, 2009 at 4:43 pm

Your site is one of my favorites! Your on-line classes are the best 🙂 I have learned soo much from them.

  97. jessica stewart on March 12, 2009 at 4:43 pm

I really like your blog and the variety if offers. Some of the stuff is a little too technical for me being that I am not a photographer, just a mom with a camera, but I do get something out of most of your articles. And I like the sharing you do of your personal pictures. It make the blog more personal, but in a way that’s not overkill. You are great. Thank you for all that you do!

  98. Kayleen T. on March 12, 2009 at 4:46 pm

Love the new stuff you’re doing. like the recent j* blog post!

  99. Keri on March 12, 2009 at 4:46 pm

I really like the photoshop tips. Sure, the freebies are nice, but there are lots of freebies floating around out there. What I want to know is how to USE photoshop well enough to make my OWN actions to do the things I want to do with my photos. It’s fun to play around with other people’s actions, and I do use them from time to time, but ultimately the ones I always use the most are the ones I’ve created on my own. It’s good to have your own style!! :)Thanks for everything you do!!

  100. Dawn McKinstry on March 12, 2009 at 4:47 pm

Love all the tips and tricks. Thanks!

  101. Karie on March 12, 2009 at 4:50 pm

Thanks so much for this blog! I have learned A LOT an greatly appreciate all you do!

  102. Barb Ray on March 12, 2009 at 4:52 pm

I had to laugh…wasn’t at all surprised that we all love the freebies the best!!! Ha ha!!! In any case, I have followed your blog here and there and am realizing now through Twitter, just how much I’ve missed out on your blog. I’ll have to go back and research some of the past blogs!!! I’m very impressed with what I’ve seen and I’m so glad to be a part of this!! I like the variety of topics on your blog! I say…don’t change that!!!! Don’t know how you manage to keep up with everything, but love that you can!!! :o) Thanks for being so willing to share your knowledge with us!!!

  103. Kori on March 12, 2009 at 5:00 pm

I love everything about this blog. I am such an amateur when it comes to photography and Photoshop that I need all the help I can get. I think you are doing great as you are!

  104. Daniel Sullivan on March 12, 2009 at 5:01 pm

    Nice job with the voting!

  105. Christine on March 12, 2009 at 5:03 pm

I voted but I must say my favorite is the BEFORE & AFTERs with how you achieved the result. Incorporating a little tips & tricks helps me to learn how to do better at post-processing. And I sure need the help! 😀

  106. Amy Briscoe on March 12, 2009 at 5:05 pm

I have just learned about your blog and products for the last few days, and I just wanted to let you know you have answered alot of questions that I have had. Thankyou for all your hard work!!!!

  107. Jennifer on March 12, 2009 at 5:09 pm

I am excited to see what MCP has for the future. You have an awesome blog that is so helpful to so many of us. Thanks a ton!

  108. Eva Marina on March 12, 2009 at 5:11 pm

I love your blog, I’ve never been disappointed by any of your posts. I’m in the middle of planning a big move, but I’d like to take some of your classes later in the year- once things calm down. I tried Facebook, but honestly I just couldn’t get into it. I don’t twitter either. I am on Myspace, but use it more for personal reasons. Thanks for everything, I look forward to whatever it is you decide to do with your blog!

  109. Lori M. on March 12, 2009 at 5:24 pm

I LOVE the before and after posts the absolute best! But behind that I love everything about MCP! As far as other social networking sites, I just joined the one over at Prop Insanity. Looks like it could be pretty cool! 🙂

  110. Charmaine on March 12, 2009 at 5:28 pm

I love tips & tricks and before & afters. Those would be my favorites. Other than that, who doesn’t love free stuff? I also like the guests that you have had. I like that they pertain also to the business side of photography. That has been really helpful actually. I can’t wait to join the Flickr and Facebook groups!

  111. Nicki on March 12, 2009 at 5:34 pm

I follow your blog through Google Reader. I am always excited to see a new post from here. Everything is always so great and I have learned so much from the site. Plus, I bought your In the Details actions and I LOVE them!

  112. Alison on March 12, 2009 at 5:46 pm

Love your site as it is, what I really like is the variety…you have it all! Thanks so much

  113. Marina Holguin on March 12, 2009 at 5:46 pm

I love your actions, blog and websites! plain and simple 😀 big fan, marina

  114. LYNN on March 12, 2009 at 5:54 pm

It’s pretty hard to perfect PERFECTION.This is a good way though to find out specifically what your readers want. You must also be a blogging genius. How on earth did you set up the poll? How can you tell I am blog illiterate?Thank you for all that you have provided for your readers.I love watching and learning. I find it so much easier to learn.

  115. Deena on March 12, 2009 at 6:01 pm

I love reading your blog! I just started following it more lately tho, so I haven’t seen all you have to offer. But I LOVE the variety you have in the archives I’ve read. It keeps it interesting and fun to read. I haven’t had a chance to get any of your actions yet, as I’m just learning PS, but I plan to try some out in the near future. Keep up the great work!

  116. Nicole S on March 12, 2009 at 6:02 pm

I love your website. I can’t tell you how many times I have scrolled through the action examples. I am a self-confessed action addict! First, step is admitting you have a a problem….although it is a great problem to have.

  117. Amanda Reimer on March 12, 2009 at 6:09 pm

I like pretty much everything, which is why I keep coming back! Adding your kids and personal stuff just helps to ‘get to know you’ better, more than just a corporate website. Thanks for all you do!

  118. Deirdre Malfatto on March 12, 2009 at 6:12 pm

I only just got a copy of the full photoshop, so it’s only recently that your blog has been very relevant to me. I haven’t bought any of your actions yet, but I will, and in the meantime, I am particularly enjoying your p hoto makeovers, because they are giving mean idea of what I might want to buy. One thing I like about your blog is your voice — you seem like a nice and interesting person, the kind I might be friends with if I knew you. I just joined your facebook group. I might follow you on twitter. I have a flickr account, but I mostly use Picasa.

  119. Fritz Meyer on March 12, 2009 at 6:19 pm

This is the first time I have been to your site and I like it. I subscribed to the feed so I can enjoyit on a regular basis. Keep it up.

  120. Gayle on March 12, 2009 at 6:22 pm

I just want to add that I love coming here! You always have great information and I have learned a lot. My favorite addition has been the guest bloggers and Q & A. I really appreciate all the time you put into this blog!!!

  121. Chana on March 12, 2009 at 6:53 pm

your blog is great. Your guest bloggers have been great with info. I have a few of your actions.thanks for all of your efforts– you offer a lot of inspiration!

  122. Sheila on March 12, 2009 at 7:06 pm

I like the variety of topics you feature, but I think I like the video tutorials best. They’re the next best thing to your live online sessions. Thanks for all you do!

  123. Tamara on March 12, 2009 at 7:18 pm

I love it ALL and wouldn’t want you to change a thing. MY all time favorites are the tutorials. i love to learn how others do things and I always learn something from your blog! Keep up the good work!

  124. Simply Shelly Lynn on March 12, 2009 at 7:20 pm

You have really helped me with my post production process and more keep up the good work!

  125. robin on March 12, 2009 at 7:20 pm

I’ll be the weird one here and say that I almost never watch videos (whether they are movies, slideshows, or tutorials) online. My house is too noisy and it’s tiring to have to hit pause eight times even during a short one so that I can answer questions for the kids. So I love screenshot tutorials.Overall I think you have a nice mix.

  126. shannon on March 12, 2009 at 8:26 pm

hey! I voted and just wanted to say you rock and I love your site!!

  127. Evie Curley on March 12, 2009 at 8:32 pm

Well, I think you have one of the best blogs out there, no doubt about it. You give so much to your readers!!! I really love the guest bloggers and photoshop tutorials the best. I get an incredible amount of knowledge just from the brief spots that your guests do plus it introduces me to many new ideas and concepts. I like that!I don’t get too much out of the contests, though I know they’re big traffic enhancers. :)I’d like to see more on Lightroom because I have it and have no idea how to use it well! It’s hard to complain about anything jodi because it’s all so good!!

  128. christie on March 12, 2009 at 8:34 pm

It was your blog that got me into actions, I love before and afters.

  129. Karol on March 12, 2009 at 8:35 pm

Thank you for all that you do!! 🙂

  130. Shelby on March 12, 2009 at 8:39 pm

  131. Carla Campbell on March 12, 2009 at 8:41 pm

I’m a newbie photographer (Canon EOS 40D) and am also new to Lightroom2 … overwhelming to say the least but persevering! Thoroughly enjoy (and appreciate) MCP Actions blog; helps tremendously! Love any direction you can give!

  132. Kelly Simpson on March 12, 2009 at 8:42 pm

The information and tips you share are incredible and very much appreciated. I enjoy getting the new posts!!

  133. lisa on March 12, 2009 at 8:44 pm

I love your site. I tell other people about it (and about your great actions). I really like your Blog and the fact that you include family, trips, etc. Photo Makeovers (before & afters with “how I did it”) MORE PLEASE!! Photoshop Actions (the freebies) Photoshop Quick Tips Discount Codes & Coupons for Photography Related Products (this helps, always but especially this year!)Just Sharing (when I post my kids, vacation pics, etc) Photography & Photoshop Product Reviews I am neutral about these:Contests (chance to win prizes) perhaps because I have never won anything ;-)I like the Photoshop Screen Shot Tutorials more than the Photoshop Video TutoralsThese Does not do much for me: Question & Answer Session with Photographers (you ask – they answer) Interviews with photographersI read a large variety of Blogs, I subscribe to your because I like your creativity, your photographic eye, your before and after, your awesome actions — truthfully if I want to see another photographer I would go to their Blog. Your Blog is great because you have talent, untalented bloggers (or people looking for filler) have other people come to their blog. But that’s just my opinion. I would much rather see more before and after and learn something.I am so glad that I stumbled across your Blog — and I love your actions!!! Lisa

  134. Jenn on March 12, 2009 at 8:45 pm

Jodi, your blog is awesome! I love it. There just isn’t anything I want to see less of. Right now I am soaking up lots of learning so I lean more toward the how to type of posts. With that said though, I have really enjoyed the guest bloggers and the interviews. There are always nuggets of information in there that I can use or learn from. And I do enjoy seeing your pics, kids, vacations sprinkled throughout the blog. Just helps to show you as a real person with kids and life going on. You aren’t just sitting behind the computer coming up with all this cool stuff for us 🙂 Thanks for the work you put into your blog and your business. I am just one of many who really enjoy and learn from your work!

  135. lisa on March 12, 2009 at 8:46 pm

I love your blog… but I have trouble keeping on top of it! The posts come straight to my inbox & there is a lot of good information that requires ‘focus’. So often times I will start to read, then I’ll click off -cause I am trying to get through lots of other email reading also- with the intention to read/watch later… therefore I have a lot of catching up to do! If only the info wasn’t so good & I could just delete it right away then I wouldn’t have this problem 🙂

  136. Keri on March 12, 2009 at 8:47 pm

Love your blog- especially the photoshop tutorials and your “before and after” post processing posts! I look forward to what you have planned for the future of MCP actions!

  137. Christina on March 12, 2009 at 8:48 pm

THis is a great blog. I really don’t have any constructive feedback. Thanks so much for your great posts!

  138. Kim S. on March 12, 2009 at 8:50 pm

Love when you hold contests but I also love when you share information about Photoshop and have guest bloggers. Loved the series on using the external flash. I definitely have been using that information when shooting. Would love to hear more about off-camera lighting. Thanks for your VERY informative blog. I love popping in and seeing what you have to offer.

  139. Sue on March 12, 2009 at 8:54 pm

I am in awe at what you give to people you don’t even know. You are VeRY kind to share your knowledge so freely. Thank you! Thank you!

  140. Denise Olson on March 12, 2009 at 8:54 pm

You are my photoshop goddess!!! whenever I hit a brick wall in photoshop processing, you are my go to girl!!!!other social groups include: the Phaunt forum, the [b] school group, Pinkle Toes Photography, non-online networking through PPGBA(Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area), NAPP, and Photoshop Elements Forum and lots of cupcake/coffee get togethers….oh and wine & cheese too!!!!!!xoxo!!!

As one of the few XY chromosome carrying people on this site I appreciate your efforts to improve your website and blog. I am interested in all things Photoshop plus photographic techniques. i.e. lighting, backdrops, composition, etc . . . Thanks for the opportunity to give my input.

  142. Katy G on March 12, 2009 at 8:59 pm

I love your blog and check it every day…and still would even if you didn’t have contests. Love the tutorials and tips the best!

Love Love love your willingness to share, not just photo tips and tricks but freebies and your life stories!

  145. Lacey on March 12, 2009 at 9:04 pm

I really like the “how to” posts. I think it would be really neat to see the process of making an action. What makes you put together a combination of photoshop tricks to make a really fabulous action? Also I am always interested in workflow, how do you actually in a timely manner apply all of those tricks. I love the blog by the way! Thanks!

  146. Jenn on March 12, 2009 at 9:06 pm

I am a big fan of your blog, I love the tips, tricks, befores and afters, really it all, I also LOVE connecting with you more, feeling like your “just like me” at least a bit – as a mom, a photographer and one who’s always trying to improve what you do! As such, I visit here often, have taken your classes and look forward to so much more. Please dont stop anything…You rock!

However, I love the fact that your blog posts are emailed directly to me… because of this… I do read ALL your blog posts! I love this blog! It is one of my favorites!! — well OK — It is my favorite! 🙂 I love everything about it! 🙂 It helps me stay informed and inspired! 🙂

  150. Heather on March 12, 2009 at 9:09 pm

I loved the question/answer session you had with Jasmine. It’s good to see the answers to questions we want to ask, not the same questions asked in normal everyday interviews.

  151. pam on March 12, 2009 at 9:10 pm

I love your blog, your website, your actions! All are amazing and have taught me a lot about photography. Your skin actions made my daughters very happy when it came time to do our Holiday cards. Keep up the great work!

  152. Iris Hicks on March 12, 2009 at 9:14 pm

I like the variety that you present on your blog. Half the fun when I click on is that I do not know what to expect but it is always worth reading. So I would recommend that you keep diversified, keep us guessing and keep us informed in the special ways that you do best.

  153. Naomi on March 12, 2009 at 9:17 pm

I’m a new comer to your blog. I found you by the way of the Pioneer Woman’s site.I would say I’m more of a straight-out-of-the-camera photography enthusiest, and only have Photoshop Elements. So some Photoshop stuff doesn’t pertain to me no matter how much I want to do and learn. I’ve very much enjoyed the guest bloggers. Thanks for your hard work and sharing!

  154. Natalie Haney on March 12, 2009 at 9:25 pm

Jodi,There is not much I don’t love about your blog. Really enjoy the guest bloggers and Q&A. Also your video tutorials. Of course the free actions are nice too.Thank you so much for all your hardwork.Annie

  158. Laser on March 12, 2009 at 9:36 pm

I enjoy the tutorials and tips the most. Of course when you offer a free action I love that too! 🙂 I am 70 years old and would love to own all your actions but unfortunately the cost is too steep for me. So many times I wished I had them as I sort through the boxes of photos I have and am scrapping. I want to leave my 4 children and 7 grandchildren the best legacy I can think of – the history of their family. I know your actions would make my photos “pop” and look so much better.I do enjoy seeing photos of your photogenic little girls as well. they are adorable and sure know how to pose for the camera!Everyday I try to learn a new technique with photoshop. It is such a fabulous program and I love it when you offer tutorials for enhancing photos. Thanks for everything. 🙂

  159. Jennifer on March 12, 2009 at 9:36 pm

Jodie….I {heart} getting notification in my email that you have posted something on the blog. I always love seeing what you are up to in terms of what great new thing you have to teach us, what great new product you have to make our jobs easier, and what great new trip you have been on with your family. Thanks for all you do. Your blog does make it difficult for me to resist all the wonderful goodies you offer, I have broken down and bought a few things from you and I have never regretted it. I can not wait to have more in the bank account to spend with you! Keep up the wonderful blog, I love it exactly how it is and can not wait for the next new thing you introduce on it!-Carrie

I’m a big fan. My only complaint is that I’ve never won anything yet! I really appreciate all you do. I’d love to take some of your photoshop classes but I can’t afford them. I do see that they are a big hit though.

  166. Tiffany on March 12, 2009 at 10:05 pm

I love your blog! I read all the posts! I like what you are doing. If it ain’t broke not fix it. lol I am on your flickr group. I think I love the how to video’s (for photoshop) most. Keep up the great job! I love it here!~ Tiffany

  167. Nikki Romero on March 12, 2009 at 10:06 pm

Jodi,Hey there woman, I actually don’t keep up with anyone’s blog, including my own (seriously), as much as I keep up with yours. I love every single thing about the content on your blog. Everything you post can, will and has been useful to us all at one time or another and at any skill level. I work full time (accounting, YUCK) and my passion, Photography and Photoshop, is just part time “for now”, and I check my email every morning before I start pounding out numbers, to see what the new post is for the day. I hate to read, i am more of a visual person, but most of the stuff you post, I actually enjoy reading.I go back to your old stuff to see if maybe I missed something or just re-review. I also go back to the old stuff for reference… I can’t tell enough people about your blog and your actions. WE NEED MORE ACTIONS!!!! Well, I do. Hello everyone, my name is Nikki and I am an action addict… I love the latest set so much, i want more.. Those were totally different than any others I have. Sorry, I can’t say enough… I love your stuff Lady!!! Keep it up..Smiles,Nikki

  168. Raquita on March 12, 2009 at 10:12 pm

I love seeing your kids and family don’t stop showin them, I don’t follow groups in facebook I see your posts in my reader I don’t have any incentive to join the facebook group too. If you had a personal twitter I would probably follow it – but I find out about new actions and stuff here so don’t really need to follow on twitter I would like to see the long way to do somethings so I can see the time the action will save, I like actions but sometimes I would like to KNOW what it is doing so its less of a crutch and more of a tool. ..

  169. Angela on March 12, 2009 at 10:21 pm

Hi! Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback! I only recently found your site, and am fairly new to the world of digital photography in anything but auto-mode, so I am overwhelmed with everything but I love browsing your site for the actions, tutorials, and interviews of more experienced photographers so I can start to build my knowledge base!Keep up the good work!

I’m on propinsanity.com….such a cool place to hang out and learn great new photography tips!!

  173. Amy Owens on March 12, 2009 at 10:25 pm

I love learning tips and tricks and everything else about photoshop. I make my own actions and I also use actions from other people. Freebies are always a good thing. There isn’t really anything that I don’t like but if I had to pick one it would be the interviews. If I really want to learn about someone else, I’ll read their blog. As for social networking, I’m a part of the [b] school, facebook, twitter and myspace. I have a linkedin account but I don’t do much with it yet.

  174. Shannon on March 12, 2009 at 10:26 pm

Jodi,I love ALL u do and provide for photographers. It has been the biggest help to not only define who i am as a photographer but is a huge aid as i’m starting my business. I thank God for letting me discover MCP. I find myself craving more information and education on photography equipment, techniques and logistics of photography -like understanding how to speed up my workflow and use computers and equipment to it’s fullest potential. Thanks so much for all your hard work. If you never lift a finger again, you have succeeded. 🙂

  176. Sarah on March 12, 2009 at 10:30 pm

I love your actions and I belong to other photography forums, but I like how if I need help on something that you have created…you are right there with answers. I have self taught myself Photoshop and love learning new things everyday! Thanks :O)

Jodi – I love your family pictures and stories, but your actions and blog .. it has truly taken my PS editing up a notch. I find everything you write or share to be uplifting – so keep doing and giving more of everything. What I would like to see or know more about – there are so many different brushes – what are the differences and why would you use one brush over another. Actions: … my portrait friends would love an action that would simulate “hair” or a better way of cloning “hair” so it looks more natural. I don’t have much time to read other blog sites – so I read your site, FP and keeping up with regular email – it’s all I can handle.

  179. Shel on March 12, 2009 at 10:32 pm

Thank-you for all you’ve shared – I have learned so much from this blog!

  180. Aly on March 12, 2009 at 10:32 pm

I really enjoy ALL your posts! Couldn’t express my gratitude enough. I enjoy the before and after the most because it gives me hope that I could definitely make my pictures better! And it’s just so much fun looking at what a photo can become with a few awesome MCP actions!

Thank you again for all your work you do I think it’s amazing and I love seeing your family photos!

  190. Amy Locurto on March 12, 2009 at 10:42 pm

From the polls… looks like you need more free actions:-) I love your Photoshop advice and especially the videos. I think the video tutorials make you stand out in the photography blog world. If I were you I would promote those more. I’m a member of all your groups and of course now on the I 仫 Faces Social Network. I also love the before’s and after’s! Everything you do is great. I really like seeing your girls here and getting to see a personal side. I guess just focus on what you enjoy doing the most. You have a great fan base, they will join you in whatever you decide. Can’t wait to find out what direction you take the blog! Let me know if you need any help.-Amy

I’m loving your layout. Everything is so easy to find and reference. Of course, who doesn’t love freebies. Especially when through networking, we can all become better. It’s wonderful that you take the time to share your knowledge and realize that it isn’t a competition, but a wonderful avenue for everyone to grow with. I did notice one thing though, where are the men posters? Are they afraid to admit defeat to your vast knowledge? Just a thought……

  197. Allison in VA on March 12, 2009 at 10:52 pm

You are such a great teacher. I especially like the video tutorials and the quick tips. Thankyou so much for giving your time to teach us all.

  239. Jeri H on March 13, 2009 at 6:36 am

Hi Jodi, I’ve been a fan of your blog for a while now, and especially after I did one on one training with you. I love your tutorials! And I’m a sucker for a freebie…so keep ’em coming. The before and afters are of particular appeal to me — I like to see your workflow on a picture. It really brings the changes to life. I also think it is great when you have guest bloggers/Q&A on topics relevant to photography but not necessarily in your “sweet space.” If you were going to pare back on something in order to free up time and space for another, I suppose doing reviews of photography products. There are other places to get that kind of info. Thanks for everything!

  240. Rebecca Scarbrough on March 13, 2009 at 6:37 am

I love your blog! Keep up the fabulous work!

  244. Andrea on March 13, 2009 at 7:08 am

This blog is my favorite! When I don’t have time to read other blogs, I always make time to read this one. I have received a lot of great benefit from it; I love the product reviews. I have made purchases because of them. The guest bloggers are also great, I always learn something! ‘Your how did I do it’ is so impressive that I purchased the actions right after seeing what they could do, when I couldn’t really afford them. And may I say, I’ve bought actions from other photographers which turned out to be a waste. I only use one out of the whole group. Yours are amazing!! What they do for my images is very exciting.Lastly, I do like to hear about your family because I have twin daughters also! Just keep up the great work

  245. Jennifer Fata on March 13, 2009 at 7:09 am

Will you have any problems getting 300 feedbacks before the end of the month??? NOT!! This is a Great Blog, and an advantage for every photographer. Anything you have to offer in Photoshop ends up Great – I especially love the videos-I’m a visual learner 🙂 Your posts are invaluable, thank you for sharing your talents, and your gift of teaching as well! For social networking I have a basic blog on top of the Facebook connections. WOW, I’d better submit this you’re going to have your 300 comments before I finish writing! Fabulous Blog!

  247. Nicole on March 13, 2009 at 7:13 am

I have follwed you for so many years I lost count, since ebay! Its funny, I was interested in you on ebay because you had twin girls (like me). Then I started realizing how fabulous your auctions always were. You helped me alot before you even starting helping people on ebay. Imitation is the most obvious form of flattery, right? LOL Anyway, I digress. I love reading your blog and learning how to’s. There are always so many great ideas that I didn’t realize I could do. Usually I’m hopping around blogs and have a toddler running around, so I don’t really have time for videos, I love the screen shot how to’s. I can scroll through and then come back later for more detail if I get stuck. As for guest bloggers, well, I have to admit, I come here for you. If I want to hear more about what others are doing, I would go to them. Maybe just introducing people you think are great, with a link to their site would be nice. But when I come to your blog, I want to focus on that person. Of course free is always good!! One thing that I would love to see more of is how to fix every day pictures. That’s what’s good when you post things about your girls and every day life. In situations that I know well, such as my house, I can correct light and color in camera, but when we are at birthday parties, or at the park or school, that’s when I end up doing more pp. So I would love to see your workflow on those. Not glamour portraits, but every day. thanks for what you do! You are awesome!

I am not super interested in the product and program reviews, but that is because I can’t afford anything yet. But once I get famous I will 🙂 I have most of your actions and I love how easy and yet adjustable they are. Thanks Jodi!

I am a huge MCP action fan and I love your website. I love that you change things up on here all the time – with lots of different things. Before and afters, tutorials, and especially the updates on your life/kids. It makes you more “real” 🙂 I’m in no way professional, and I love that your site also caters to the amateur photographer!

I admire what you’ve done here and I love all your actions and the free things you give away, you’re blog is inspiring and I have learned alot. I think what’s popular right now is video, and just video of your life, your shoots, your day, your kids, whatever its is its a glimpse of you. I find that its a very personal thing to share videos and it allows people to get to know you better, its definitely something that I want to do alot of on my blog, one day, lol. Continued success.

  270. Jolene Reed on March 13, 2009 at 9:47 am

Hi, I am new to the blog (a few months) but I have learned SO MUCH!! I can’t believe that I did not find you sooner! I have told so many of my photography friends about you, they ALL love you too! Thanks so much for all the time that you put into this blog. I know that it must be a lot of work! (I can barely keep up my blog!!) I absolutely love the free actions, love the guest bloggers, and am always looking for more awesome tips! It is also fun to learn more about you and your family! Thanks for sharing with us! Keep it coming! I feel like a sponge!!

  271. Amy Horrey on March 13, 2009 at 9:51 am

I’m just learning photoshop so your tutorials and before/afters are especially useful!! Thank you for all that you share!

  272. Catherine on March 13, 2009 at 9:51 am

I love any type of tutorial you do. Any information on how you make pictures look so good is very helpful. I also LOVE the contests! I’m quite competitive by nature and love to win things!! Any freebies are helpful too because photography is such an expensive hobby/profession ~ anything helps. Maybe if you do a certain type of thing 3 days a week then we would know when to check back for them… that might help. For example, do a PS tutorial every monday, do a contest every other wednesday and have photo make overs every friday. May be helpful so we know when to check back. I LOVE MCP!!!

  273. Morgan Coy on March 13, 2009 at 9:53 am

I love your tutorials and free actions. It’s always so helpful to be able to sample actions in order to see what you want to purchase. Thank you for the time you give in order to keep this going!!<Morgan

Lovely way to slowly wake up. :-)I love you photography style and your fun personality which obviously comes through in your blog. In my opinion, you don’t need to change a thing.

I’ve had a blog for a while but after reading the article on your site I set up analytics and am finally getting a clue about how it all works. Thanks!

  283. heatherK on March 13, 2009 at 10:42 am

I read your blog to learn more about Photoshop and the art of photography in general, so any blog posts that help me learn, I love (i.e. VIDEO Tutorials, Quick Tips, Photo Makeovers, Guest Bloggers, Q&A’s). As expected, any blog posts that don’t help me learn, I could do without (Screen Shot Tutorials [my brain just can’t handle them], Just Sharing of your life, Contests). That being said, the “Just Sharing” (and contests for that matter) is a nice break from all the heavy learning, and it is nice to learn more about you as a person. I also like some of your product reviews, the most recent I found helpful was the White Balance lens cap. And, of course, I greatly appreciate your free Actions AND the discount codes.

  284. Meghan on March 13, 2009 at 10:46 am

You are absolutely amazing! I’m always excited when you post because it is one of my favorite blogs. I absolutely love all of your photoshop tutorials. Although I do need practice in photography, I really need help in photoshop and I have learned SO much through those tutorials. It has given me the confidence to play around with it little more. I just love your site!!

  285. Jenn Hopkins on March 13, 2009 at 10:48 am

I LOVE tutorials and guest bloggers. The newborn photography blogger totally changed the way I shoot newborns. Keep up the amazing work! I love this blog!

  286. Stephanie H on March 13, 2009 at 10:48 am

I tend to read anything that you put up on your website and learn something from each post; however, I find that I skim over the guest blogging that doesn’t deal with photoshop or actual picture taking. I would LOVE to see more watch me work sections. I love learning your workflow. I also love the freebies, because we are just college students without a ton of money to spend on my hobby 🙂

  287. L y s h a on March 13, 2009 at 10:56 am

Love it love it love it! the only downfall is us photoshop element users don’t get a whole lot of fun:( but I am learning a lot about lightroom which i hope to upgrade to soon…

I have been visiting your blog for quite a while now and following it on Google Reader. I found it through 2peas, and love your before and after shot posts the best. They really show the potential your actions have!Keep up the great work!

  291. Amy on March 13, 2009 at 11:43 am

I voted! and I do own some of your actions and absolutely love them!! I am not a professional Photographer…I wish I was, I’m also not a beginner, I have taken some photos for close friends and family and been paid a little, so I guess I’m Intermediate. What I really need from you is more help for someone like me who is not as good as a pro, but needs help with technique…taking better photos. You have done this before, but I feel like your tips are more for the pros and not the intermediates! I do love when you do before and after photos and explain what actions you took to change the photo,You are so talented and thanks for sharing it with us!

Love your site and we have found that not everyone uses every networking site, so we’ve decided to be on ALL of them. It’s a small task keeping them all updated, but TOTALLY worth it!

  296. Amy McDow on March 13, 2009 at 12:47 pm

I have really enjoyed your blog and actions. I love the quality of your artwork and the standard that you are setting for all of us. I feel challenged each time I visit and grateful for the work you are doing. Many thanks!

I love the way your present the information. Not to frilly and not too much. The tips and tricks you have taught me has improved the way my photos look and my client satisfaction 100%. The MPC actions I use have saved me a lot of time. Some day I will have a CS version so I can take advantage of more of your actions.

I love everything about your site. I think I own most of your actions, now if I could only get the same results as you and many others do. I guess I just need to practice, practice, practice.

  301. Celeste on March 13, 2009 at 1:36 pm

L-O-V-E MCP!!! I’ve purchased actions, I learned from the blog. Usually if I am feeling down in my creativity, I will pop on over to MCP and see what is going on….. thank you for being a WONDERFUL resource!

  302. Kara on March 13, 2009 at 1:36 pm

Your site is one of my favorites. I love your guest bloggers and photoshop tips probably the best – but your free actions are AWESOME too! I also like the contests you run – so much fun.I really wouldn’t change anything – I wouldn’t fix something that’s not broken 🙂

  304. Nicole Haley on March 13, 2009 at 1:49 pm

I love the Q&A blogs with photographers – I think we all learn a lot with those – as well as the before and after shots! But, really, I love coming to your site because there’s always something new and different! Thanks for a great site.

  305. SL on March 13, 2009 at 1:54 pm

Jodi–I really like your blog and I love the MCP actions as well as your tutoring. 🙂 I had a very basic understanding of photoshop and had taken an 8 week photoshop course and I learned MORE in 2 hours from YOUR one on one tutoring session than I did in that class! It has really brought me a long way in my photography and has made my editing much easier. I use several photoshop actions from many of the top actions sellers and love them all…but I do have to say that your eye doctor is by far the best action I have ever used. I photograph children and the eyes always are bright, sharp and I receive compliments all the time about the “eyes” in my photos. I also LOVE the Take the color Away/BW action. I love how I can customize it and I LOVE the chocolate tint. It’s one of my biggest sellers when my clients print photos! Thank you!

  306. Kitty Whitlow on March 13, 2009 at 1:55 pm

i just discovered your site earlier this month and it has quickly become on of my favs. I simply cant wait to purchase some of your actions. I love love love your interviews with photographers and the Q&A sessions. I would like to see more product reviews. I have spent the past week debating the 50mm 1.4 or 1.2 question and love seeing other pepoles opinions on it. I love finding out about new equipment and if it is worth the investment or if its more of a novelty. and i wouldnt change a thing.your blog totally rocks thanks so much for all the time you invest in it for us

  307. Jessica G on March 13, 2009 at 2:20 pm

I recently came across your blog (seriously, in the last two weeks) and have liked everything I’ve seen on it. I’m debating taking your class on color balance, since finding right skin tones drives me crazy. I’ve really enjoyed your blog and can’t think of a thing I would change! Thanks so much!

  308. Melanie Lee on March 13, 2009 at 2:31 pm

I enjoy seeing your work as well as you sharing your photoshop talents with us. You are very creative and talented. Thank you for all of your hard work! I haven’t used many actions, I’m still learning the ins and outs of photoshop, but learn a little something new every time I stop by MCP!

Don’t get me wrong, I love your work. But your personal stuff is nice to get to know you.Who doesn’t love free stuff and tutorials??? 🙂

  329. Stacey on March 13, 2009 at 6:23 pm

Anything you can do to help those just starting out is helpful. Sometimes it’s nice to know what an action is actually doing so if I ever wanted to do just one part, I could do it on my own.I love seeing the SOOC shots and the step by step process to get the final result. I’ve visited many action sites and see what their actions can do, but it’s nice to know how they go there and if it will work for me.Freebies are also great. It lets me know 1) If I like your action’s results on my work and 2) If your work is easy enough for me to use. The more free ones I love, the more likely I am to make a purchase.I like the fact you are doing this and actually getting feedback from you users instead of just assumeing. That is a GREAT step to making improvements where you see the need for improvement.Good luck!

  330. Sarah Doerfler on March 13, 2009 at 6:29 pm

I love the tips and the q&as, but also the freebies and contests:) The freebies always get me hooked! I just adore your actions, especially the templates! thanks for being such a part of the photog world!

I LOVE the before and afters, they amaze me. 😀 I also really like it when you have a guest blogger because I like to see what other people have to say and it is also a way for me to find more good photographers online (I LOVE looking at other people’s work!). I also really like the ask a question thing, I have not asked a question before but the people who do ask really great ones.I *think* it was this blog where there was a guest speaker about newborn photography. Is she going to come back? I really enjoyed reading her post. Thanks for the chance to win a gift certificate for actions. I have REALLY been wanting to buy some but I just don’t have the money right now (as well as probably everyone else, lol). Thanks again!

Jodi, you do this so well. How can you think you need to change anything? Look at the number of comments on this post. Enjoy your success and keep on rolling. Just because I have to, I’ll say that I really enjoy the guests and the before – sooc and after with specific instructions (I love learning something new). You’re already doing both and so no changes necessary! Oh and I love seeing your family shots, even though it makes me feel a little bad that I rarely get the opportunity to edit any of MY family shots! 🙂

  344. Cindy on March 13, 2009 at 9:48 pm

Well you happen to be my “go to” source for all things photographically fabulous! I love the actions from Totally Rad & Kubota but I seem to love yours more and I think it’s also because you give great examples of before & afters & you explain the steps in how you achieved it. This takes the actions from looking good on yours to looking good on mine too but I don’t always achieve with other actions coz I don’t specifically know how to best apply them. You also inspire me with your branding & networking .. you seem to be everywhere and that can only mean one thing …. successful!!! I’m just starting out so I’m hoping some of that will rub off on me =)Thanks Jodi (on behalf of all of us soakers & learners) for being so open handed in a tight-lipped industry.

  345. Nataly on March 13, 2009 at 10:09 pm

I definitely treasure the photoshop tutorials the most, since I can sometimes be computer-challenged…also, thanks for making such an eclectic mix of information available to photographers, especially for novice ones like myself. Keep up the great work!

I love your site! And I love the email updates to know when to go look at the site, and I devour everything you post… sound a bit like a stalker there… 🙂 Your Before and After photos inspire me when I feel that my ho-hum shots can be turned into something stunning! 🙂

  359. Christina on March 14, 2009 at 11:10 am

I don’t Twitter and I have a Flickr account I don’t use. But I’m also on mySpace which seems to be dying out to Facebook. :-)I love all that you do on the blog. I really like the teaching and before and after.

  360. Susan Dodd on March 14, 2009 at 11:42 am

I love before and afters. I find them inspirational and challenging! It is so fun to see what you can do to make great images become spectacular images! And, freebies? Who the heck doesn’t like a freebie?? Less of? Don’t change a thing! It’s workin, it’s great! Finally, I only really love Facebook right now. It has helped me connect with so many friends – old and new. I’ve found people I went to high school with and it is so wonderful to catch up and keep in touch. I think, used right, Facebook is fabulous!I’m just not sure I get Twitter.

Jodi,This poll has been great because I was not aware of everything you share. I just recently discovered you through Iheartfaces. I am now following you through Blogger. Thanks, for sharing your time at Iheartfaces and giving back. I really appreciate your time and investment in others.PS Thanks, for adding me as a friend over at “tha face place” forum too! :DBeth

  367. Jennifer B on March 14, 2009 at 6:41 pm

this is a first time comment, but I’ve followed your blog consistently for several months now. I love SO MUCH of what you do, and will soon be buying some actions. I’m currently trying to figure out the ins and outs of Photoshop without actions, so I know better the sequence of what needs to be done. Hopefully, though, I’ll be needing to edit more pictures than I have time for, and will get around to buying yours. I love your pictures, and am striving for that quality in my own. I would also like some advice on where to get pictures printed – what to look for in a processor. Thank you for all the time you put into this, and the advice for professionals and beginners!

  368. Sue on March 14, 2009 at 7:08 pm

You blog is one of the very few I frequent. I love your teaching style and by far your actions are the ones I use the most. I recommend them every chance I get.

Hi Jodi, I love your blog!!! I am newbie (2009) to your site and I have to tell you that being able to read your blog and all the tips and tricks has been ideal and a great tool for me. I also took one of your classes back in February and loved it!!! I learned so much…thank you again! I guess that video tutorials would be one thing that I would love to see more of. Note: I have also enjoyed reading your guest bloggers tips and tricks…great information that I have applied to my own photography. So, that has been really neat for me to read. Can’t wait to see what happens next at MCP. Smiles 🙂
