Samsung Galaxy Camera WiFi-only officially introduced with similar specs as the original 4G LTE version.

Same features for the Samsung Galaxy Camera, except for 2G / 3G / 4G LTE compatibility

The Samsung Galaxy Camera WiFi-only model features a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 16.3-megapixel BSI CMOS image sensor, built-in 8GB flash storage with microSD card slot, and HDMI video output.

The new WiFi version’s image sensor is based on the 1/2.3″ format. The camera also boasts a 21x optical zoom and 23mm wide-angle lens with Optical Image Stabilization technology. Samsung added a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear touchscreen with 309 ppi density and full HD video recording capability.

Samsung’s shooter can capture images in JPEG format and videos in MP4 format. A special slow motion movie mode is available for the users. In this mode, the Galaxy Camera records 768 x 512 resolution videos at 120 frames per second.

The camera can be adjusted to shoot in various lighting conditions, thanks to an ISO range between 100 and 3,200.

The WiFi Samsung Galaxy Camera also comes packed with GPS / GLONASS support, Bluetooth 4.0, 19 modes using the Smart Mode option, remote viewfinder, smart content manager, and video editor among many others.

700,000 apps available through the Google Play Store

Being an Android 4.1-powered device, the camera supports more than 700,000 apps from the Google Play Store, including Dropbox, Gmail, Chrome, and YouTube. Multitasking is also supported on the shooter, just like it would on a regular Android smartphone or tablet.

The WiFi-only Samsung Galaxy Camera measures 128.7 x 70.8 x 19.1 mm, while weighing 300 grams. It is powered by a 1,650mAh battery, which should be enough for a one-day photo shoot and for browsing the web on your way to the aforementioned photo shoot.

Samsung announced that availability and pricing depends on regions. However, the WiFi version will be significantly cheaper than its cellular data-compatible counterpart.
