I would love to win a spot in the next “Inspired Home” class. I’ve heard wonderful things about this class, and I feel it could really help get me out of a creative rut when it comes to documenting my life at home with my two wonderful children.

  2. Robyn Brown on January 11, 2013 at 9:35 am

I would take From Auto to Manual because that’s something I’m not comfortable with and would love to learn more of.

  13. Sue K on January 11, 2013 at 11:03 am

From Auto to Manual – I’ve taken the step to shooting in aperture mode but I’m afraid to go manual, partially because of my eyesight but I really would like to. I also would like to shoot in camera raw.

  35. Ida Norberg (Azerhinni Mull Nor) on January 11, 2013 at 11:50 am

Wonderful giveaway! I’ve liked and shared your post on facebook. All the classes look helpful, and surely would increase our inspiration, creative flow and results. I have however decided that if I’d be lucky enough to win, I’d pick the ‘From auto to manual’ class. I already shoot in manual all the time, but there are some topics in this class I am yet to master. Especially the metering modes, aswell as finding better focus points would greatly improve my photography. All the best to all of you,Ida

If I win this contest, it’s hard to choose which class I would like to take, I’d been looking at the Define school calendar all week because of your blog posts. I would love the post shoot workflow because it would be practical for me to tighten up my workflow especially after wedding shoots…..but my heart wants to take the Light, Lines, Love class because it just appeals to me…..I like the simplicity of finding the light and using it! I would chose Wedding Stories. I need it because although I’ve been passionate about photography my whole life and have a good handle on my camera, equipment, photoshop, style, and am ever evolving … I have found that I need some assistance in learning more about the client relationship, and posing. I am trying to go professional and know this is going to be the key to allowing myslef to move forward in confidence and really make my artwork shine and relationships blossom.

  117. Irene McDermott on January 11, 2013 at 2:03 pm

I would love to take, “Through the Looking Glass”. This looks very much like what I would like clients photos to look like. I shoot mainly outdoors in natural light and and if there is one thing I struggle with it’s achieving that soft, dreamy feel to my photos. I want so much to achieve this and I think this would be the class to help me do this. I am already an active fan on the Shoot Me: MCP (Photoshop, Lightroom, Photography)

  118. Ashley on January 11, 2013 at 2:10 pm

I would love to take Light + Life class. I’ve been taking photos for years and taught myself everything. Understand light is what I need to take my photos to the next level. I must take the Inspired Child course with Shannon Sewell. I need to be re-inspired, to find my niche, my style. I’m a huge fan of Shannon’s photography and I feel I would learn so much and my creativity that seems frozen, would explode with ideas from taking her class Inspired Child.

Thank you for sharing this opportunity with us! I would be honoured to participate in the Light + Life workshop … so much of my style is geared towards authentic moments of connection, and often times that includes incorporating streams of natural light. I feel a bit stagnant about how to take my confidence with incorporate different light in my work now – and would love the insight and technique of Kellie’s teaching to guide me there. Thank you!

  181. Laura F on January 11, 2013 at 5:46 pm

First I want to say what a great give away! Thank you. I would love to take Light + Life with Kellie Hatcher. I have been doing photography for almost 2 years now and I am finally understanding it. I want to learn about the light. I travel with my husband for his job so it is just me…I have been taking classes on line to learn. I know light is a big thing with getting great photos and I want to learn to see the light in all situations.

  182. Jodi on January 11, 2013 at 5:46 pm

As I live in my sweatpants and I feel like I haven’t seen daylight forever my choice of class was decided the second I started reading the course description!! I would LOVE to win the “Awaken The Spark” class. I feel that my actual photography skills have reached a high enough level to start a business but I’m lacking inspiration, motivation, just basically the oomph I need to bring that dream to fruition. Everything I have read about the course tells me that this course is ABSOLUTELY for me! I am already a “member” of the Shoot Me group.

  183. Michelle on January 11, 2013 at 5:47 pm

I’d take from Auto to Manual. Despite having done one class like this when I first got my camera, it was not enough to launch me fully from auto to manual. I remember lots of things, but also forget a lot. I enjoy taking nature photography – particularly of animals – and it would help me so much to be able to control all aspects of my camera and produce the shots I want.Good luck everyone!

  191. Bonnie on January 11, 2013 at 6:43 pm

I would like to take the Auto to Manual class because it sounds like a class that will FINALLY make this stick in my brain! I have tried to learn this in books and videos and online classes and it just doesn’t ever seem to be taught in a way that makes me able to use the info with confidence. This school seems to have a much more inspired method of teaching and living the photography so I would love to try it!

  192. Kelly Dollins on January 11, 2013 at 6:45 pm

If I was lucky enough to win a class I would take the from “auto to manual.” Even though I’ve been experimenting in manual mode I feel this would help me learn more so I can feel more confident in my work. Thanks!

“The Inspired Child”: that’d be my choice. When I read the class description I thought “Yes!EXACTLY!” I have the most fun when I can view my kids doing what they do & play around with different settings to get various results. However, when I shoot for other people, my brain shuts down and I get tense and rigid trying to act “professional” and keep everything in the shoot looking consistant/the same. I need help learning how to keep my ideas and options flowing freely–allowing for creative “what ifs” to come through.

  245. Diane C. on January 13, 2013 at 12:32 am

I would love to take so many of the classes, and would be happy taking any of them! However, the one I need most is the post-shoot workflow! I need this for many reasons. 1) The last of my five children are leaving at the end of January, and I could really use something to “do”. 2) I take for-ev-eeer when I do my post processing… so annoying to me and my clients. And my husband 3)I really like the way this class is outlined. And the teacher seems really cool. Last, of all, I would LOVE it!

Hope I’m not too late, I really would love to win From Auto to Manual. I have tried a little bit of manual shooting but am not getting the results I’d like yet. Still need to get a grasp of the basics. Thanks so much for the chance to win!

I would love to win “The Inspired Child” not only for client photography but to use for my own little one. I want to grow as an artist in creating pictures that will capture both a child’s individuality and a parent’s heart.

  258. Alesa Larsen on January 13, 2013 at 4:42 pm

I am going back and forth between two classes. Post-shoot workflow, because I really need to get a system in place for that, or Light, Lines and Love, because I would love to figure out the missing part of my compositions.

If I win a class it would definitely need to be the auto to manual because sadly I am still shooting on auto after having a digital camera for years. I even worked for a photographer for four years and did not learn to take my camera off auto. Sad, I know.

Awakening the Spark – I need this class. I have recently felt the “why even try anymore” bug biting at me. It seems like there are so many other photographers out there that are so much better than me (and some much worse who are still getting work and I have none!) that I am almost ready to give up. Besides that I feel like I am in a major creative rut. 🙁

  307. Nikki B on January 13, 2013 at 9:03 pm

I would love to win a class, namely Through the Looking Glass. I was propelled into my business after my 11 year old daughter suffered a violent trauma. Although I shot an old manual B&W Canon for several years, I have only been working with my dSLR for the last 4 1/2. Photography is what I turn to whenever my life feels chaotic, this time it just stuck. Due to the extent of my daughters injuries I needed to drastically cut my hours as a nurse, and since I needed to supplemtent my income- I went with what I love. However, I didn’t start with a vision, and I need to form a better direction and concept of who I am as a Photographer. I want to be successful, and the MCP product has already given me some priceless insight as to how I edit- now I just need to get better at what I am editing. I find myself suffering with uncertainty, the who what where’s and occasional how. I am hoping a gentle inspirational push will get me back to the photographer I was 15 years ago! I hope I am chosen, and thank’s for reading this!

Through the Looking Glass would be oh so great! I’ve done a few shoots for friends just for fun, going off what I’ve learned from watching photographers in my own family’s sessions. It would help me tremendously to get these tips from a professional! I’d really love to improve my shoots and be more organized…sometimes knowing where to start is tough.

I love every moment I’m out capturing those moments, but then feel like something is missing – something needs to change and get me excited again. So feel this class would be suited perfect for me.
