Contest: Enter to Win Dry Erase Photo Boards from Color Inc.

Contest: Enter to Win Dry Erase Photo Boards from Color Inc.

It’s not too early to start thinking of stocking-stuffers, teach gifts, presents and more for this upcoming Holiday Season.  Whether it is for your own family or as an offering to your customers, custom printed photo dry erase boards are fun presents. They range in price from 12.50 to 25.00 depending on size.

Color Inc Pro Lab, an MCP Sponsor, recently added dry erase boards to their offerings.  I just received mine (I ordered 6) and I have to tell you, they are AMAZING.  The print quality is spectacular, the finish on them reminds me of their pearl prints, almost a light metallic feel.  They are beautiful.  Whoever thought I’d say that about a dry erase board?

Color Inc Professional Lab Coupon

My twins went crazy, as I ordered them each one of the other – you know they love to draw all over each other…  And then I ordered a few for our fridge, and a few for relatives for the holidays.  They include a marker and are covered in back with magnets.

Here are the dry erase boards of my twins – for my twins.  They already managed to add mustaches, beards and crazy hair-dos on each other.

    1. I would keep one as a sample for event clients and I would give one away to my grandparents who pepper their refrigerator with To-Do’s and family photos. I would win the unofficial favorite gift of the year contest for sure.

    2. My own design.

    3. These would be great to have on site (I’m a meeting/event planner) as I could brand them with the company photos and use it on our messaging center.

I would love one of these with my own kids’ images on it! The other one I would give the other to a client of mine who has sent several referrals and is just an awesome client to have-she deserves it! I would love to offer these during the holidays as well.

•If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? Would you print up samples or use them for yourself? A customer? Or as holiday gifts?
One would definitely be for my hubby since he works out on an oil rig and is gone for 3 weeks at a time. The other would be a gift for my son’s NJROTC instructor. Chief is a riot and we have a bunch of funny pictures to use.
•Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes?
One for hubby I would make from scratch, but would take a look at their templates for others.
•What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)?
Could sell them, use them as fundraisers for groups, use for giveaways & gifts

  6. 8

    says

I would keep one for myself and use the other for a holiday gift. I think I like the templates, so I would probably use the template. It would be nice to have one as an example for clients who would want something different.

  7. 9

If I won the boards I would give one to my parents as a gift for the holidays and keep the other for myself to use and as a sample <3

I would like one from scratch and the other from a template to see how they turn out.

I would set mine up in my studio to show off to my clients :) thanks!!

If I won, I’d make gifts for the coaches of my kids’ soccer and baseball teams with pictures of their kids I took during the seasons.
After this crazy season is over, Im going to get one of these boards for myself.
I will probably just use one of the templates offered by ColorInc.

These are so awesome, I would definitely use them to give to my two daughters they would love them. I would probably use one of their templates to design them. I am not in business

  10. 12

    says

If I won…hmmm…probably samples first…then I would order more for gifts cause I’m sure I’d like them! :)
I’d prob use a combo of the templates and my own pics
As I shoot a lot of families, I know these would be a big hit…especially for the holidays as gifts!!!

  11. 16

    says

I would definately do one for my niece, and one for me with a picture of my niece! She’d love it!

I might try my own design, but would certainly want to check out the templates available.

Right now I like to give a little magnet to clients, but how nice would one of these be as a promotional tool or giveaway for clients and those who ‘like’ us.

Very nice product & I’d love to win (cause when I find things I like I tend to order many of them ! haha)

  12. 17

    says

    1. I would use one as a gift and one as a sample
    2. Probably a template since I have never ordered these before
    3. I think these could make great marketing pieces. There are tons of ways these could be used to boost sales and promote your business. Very unique.

  13. 18

    says

If I won these boards, I would give one to my parents and one for myself! I need some sort of organization at home to let my family know when I have shoots as well as important kids dates.
I would probably use the free templates or my MCP story boards.
I would definitely want to print up some for my business as samples. Mom’s love this kind of stuff. Working moms like this too. Great to have at work to show off kiddos photos.

  14. 19

    scott cotner-young says

How COOL are these! I can think of several uses! Teacher gifts! Grandparents Gifts! Client Thank You gifts and of course personal use!! My son would love one of these in his room…what a great stocking stuffer!

  15. 20

    says

I would give them to my two youngest kid’s teachers. I would probably design them myself. I’d also love to have one for my business, just to sign paper work on etc. Just another way to show my work.

  16. 21

    says

If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? Would you print up samples or use them for yourself? A customer? Or as holiday gifts? I would keep one to show clients and then probably gift one.

Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes? Hmmm… I’m not sure. Maybe one of each?

What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)? I think it would be cute to have the bride and groom write messages to each other or draw each other pictures before the wedding.

  17. 22

    Sarah Kannenberg says

If I won I would give one to my parents and one to my assistant. I have received a lot of word of mouth work through both of them!

I would probably design a custom one myself to make it completely unique.

It would definately make a good gift to the best clients (not just highest spending, but the ones that talk about the business the most).

    Jenn S. says

    * If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? Would you print up samples or use them for yourself? A customer? Or as holiday gifts?
    – One for me and one as a gift

    * Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes?
    – I’d probably do my own design and then try the template for the other one.

    * What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)?
    – I think it would be neat to have the clipboard style and have an invoice or order form on top. I could just hear the comments and the “how can I get one of those?”

  19. 24

    says

I would LOVE to use them as a sample for our business or get one to my sister or mother. They would adore them. I’m not sure if I would use the free templates or try something on my own. Maybe one of each.
I can totally see adding these as a add on to a package or a freebie with so much purchased. I adore them!
    Thanks!

  20. 25

    says

Wow – I love these! I would make a sample and one for myself! One of my designs and one of the premade templates! I think I’ll order these quickly and add them to my product line! What a great idea!

I would probably use a template.

    Thanks

  23. 33

    says

I’d love to give this to my mother and mother in law for gifts! And of course, I’d have to order an extra for myself :) I’d probably use a template I already have or make my own. I think they would make a great bonus gift for a good customer!

  24. 36

    says

I would be thrilled to be a winner of these creative dry erase boards!! I would design a custom image for them… One for my husband to use in his Cesna as a reusable flight checklist, and one for myself to consolidate my myriad To Do lists scattered on Post It notes throughout my work and personal spaces. I also think they would make fabulous Christmas and Mother’s Day gifts, teacher’s gifts, client gifts (for photographers, realtors, flight instructors, etc.). The uses are endless!! Sooo, choose me! CHOOSE ME!! :)

  25. 37

    says

(sorry, i hit enter WAY too soon)
If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? Keep one and give one to grandma
Would you print up samples or use them for yourself? the one I kept I would print up samples. The extra one would be a holiday gift.
Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes? Template most likely
What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one) I think it’s a great way to show different processing on the same photo.

  26. 38

    Annette Clay says

I would give one away as a gift, the other one I may keep for myself or give away, I would design my own, not sure how I would use it in my business

  27. 40

    Elsie says

I would keep one for myself and give the other to my mother. I would use one of their templates and pictures of my grandsons. I don’t have a photography business but see them as great additions for those who do.

  28. 41

    says

I’d make one for me and one for my mother-in-law!

Probably design my own from scratch, although those templates look good.

Business? Keeping young’ens entertained while mom and dad are looking @ proofs (if you do print proofs?) or maybe a workflow checklist of to-do’s (email clients, post photos, etc?)

  29. 42

    melaniel says

I would keep one for our home, and get one made for my daughters Godfather who is deploying to Afghanistan in 4 weeks. I would probably use a template to get it done in time.

  30. 43

    says

I would DEFINITELY give one to my dad..he is self-employed…and uses a dry erase board everyday!..the other one I would be stingy..and keep for myself. :) hehe.. I would definitely check out the templates..but I like to make stuff from scratch as well. :) THese would make great “Gifts for clients” as well. 😀

  31. 45

    Tina Mitchell says

If I were the lucky winner, I would definitely keep one for myself & give one to my mom. They are sure to make the cutest gift ever!! I would use Color Inc’s free templates. I don’t have a business, just love to take pictures! But I would definitely be showing them off to my friends!!

  32. 46

    says

•I think that I would use one as a sample in the studio, maybe convieniently use it to sketch out a session plan with the client. The other I would have to hand over to my mom the school librarian, she loves to show off the grandkids :)

•Doh! That’s hard, I would probably use their ideas for inspiration, but I have a ton digital scrapbook matierials just sitting there taking up disk space so I’d probably end up making my own.

•The first thing that comes to mind is to take a photo of my 4 year old standing on the white backdrop in her pink leotard and tights, and then handing that over with colorful markers to restless siblings during a session to play paperless paper dolls. But I’m sure I could think of more practical uses :)

  33. 47

    Joanna Little says

    * If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? Would you print up samples or use them for yourself? A customer? Or as holiday gifts?

I would use both as gifts. One I would give to my husband. I’ve been working on a story board with pictures of him and our children and this would work perfectly for him. He’s always using a dry erase board for school. The other I would give to my parents for Christmas with some pictures of their grandchildren.

    * Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes?

One I would make my own design and the other I would use one of Color Inc’s templates.

    * What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)?

These would be great for special promotions and giveaways.

  34. 48

    Bre says

I would definitely use the templates and then keep one for my daughter as she is learning to write as well as give one as a gift.

  35. 51

    Leah says

I’d love these! I’d design my own I think, have a little play, give it a little somethin’ somethin’, then I’d keep one for yself and send one to my parents who live on the other side of the world. Great gift!

  36. 52

    says

While my twins would enjoy defacing each other I would actually give each of the grandparents one of the boards. I don’t have any of your “board” actions yet and I’m still new to PSE & editing so I would use their templates.

    Thank you!
    ~ingrid
    joes1pain@hotmail.com

  37. 53

    says

I would probably keep one and use one as a sample.

Probably use a premade template as I love the ones I see on here.

I think they would be great gifts to give to my seniors and families as “thank you gifts. I absolutely LOVE them.

  38. 54

    Jenny says

I would use these as gifts, for teachers, at Christmas. What a great idea! And since I’m not quite so creative, I know I would use one of their free templates. I don’t have a business – yet – so I don’t have an answer for that part.

  39. 55

    says

I would give one to my son and one to my niece! Probably using a template. These are fun in general and could be great on a kid session – if someone is getting cranky! Also love the calendar idea!

  40. 58

    Mandy says

I would keep one for myself and give one to my husband for his office. I would probably use the ROES templates, but I do like the idea of creating my own template…

  41. 59

    says

These are really cute! If I won two I’d probably keep one and gift one and I would probably use a ROES template. The would make a great promo item for my business!

  42. 61

    Camilla Holmemo says

    * If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to?
One for my niece, so she could get rid of some of her jealousy for her little sister by drawing on her. And one for my mom, with a picture of her granddaughters.
    * Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes? I would probably use the template.
    * What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)? Don’t have one, but if I ever do, maybe as fun entertainment for a “Kids’ Corner”?

  43. 62

    says

IF I WON- I WOULD GIVE THEM AS GIFTS. I WOULD LOVE ONE FOR MYSELF BUT SINCE THIS THIS HE SEASON FOR GIVING I WOULD GIVE THEM. THE FIRST ONE I WOULD GIVE OUT WOULD BE TO MY MOTHER. I AM ALWAYS HAVING TO WRITE HER POST-IT NOTES ALL OVER THE PLACE TO REMEMBER. NOW SHE COULD HAVE A MESSAGE BOARD ON THE FRIG., AND MY DAD WOULD ALWAYS KNOW WHERE TO LOOK FOR NOTES, PLUS SHE WOULD HAVE BEAUTIFUL PICTURES OF HER GRANDKIDS SO IT WOULD LOOK GORGEOUS ON THE FRIG INSTEAD OF POST-IT NOTES. SECOND ONE I WOULD GIVE TO MY PHOTOGRAPHER FRIEND MICHELLE GUERRA- SHE IS AN AMAZING ARTIST AND A DEAR FRIEND. THIS WOULD BE A VERY SPECIAL GIFT FOR HER THAT HAD ALOT OF MEANING.

I WOULD ACTUALLY USE THE FREE TEMPLATES BECAUSE THEY ARE AWESOME AS THEY ARE. I LOVE ALL THE DESIGNS. THEY ARE VERY USER FRIENDS AND VERY MODERN.

IN MY BUSINESS I WOULD OFFER THEM IN A PACKAGE. THESE ARE VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE BUSY MOM. ALL FAMILIES NEED THIS.

  44. 63

    Bret says

These sound like a great holiday gift for the grandparents. We’d probably use an existing template and insert the photos of the kids. I don’t have a business. Thanks,

  45. 64

    Jenny Tompkins says

I would use the custom templates and order the boards for family. I love the calendar/notes template pictured and think that would be a great addition to the fridge!

  46. 65

    Jonathan Clark says

I would probably keep one to help promote my business. I am new in the industry and still learning all of the offerings and such. I would use the other as a holiday gift, either to my parents or grandma, ya never know what to get people like that :o) depending on the templates I would either use one of theirs or try to create my own … just depends on the selection :o)

  47. 66

    Whitnie Stark says

I would keep one for sure, because those are awesome. Then I’d give one to my parents so they can get a bit more oragnized and have some fantastics pictures to remeber my family by!

  48. 68

    says

if i won the freebies, i’d use them as holiday gifts for the 2 grandmas! how useful of a gift! and how much joy would it bring to daily see those precious faces of their grandbabies each time they used it!! what a great idea!!

i think i would use their templates, as they seem very efficient for daily use…unless i needed something they didn’t offer. then i would LOVE to have the flexibility to design my own!

i would love to tie these into my business as well as i want to offer gifts to get my clients talking/sharing with others. this would be a special surprise for my clients purchasing a collection as opposed to just a la carte. 😉 thanks so much for sharing!! hope to win!!

  49. 71

    Jennifer Jenison says

Seriously, that is one of the BEST ideas I’ve seen!!!! If I won 2 of these dry erase boards, I would definitely use one for myself but then use mine to promote more business for you to have people buy these as gifts. I LOVE dry erase boards. We use them at home on our fridge and I would want something more personalized to use. This is just so awesome! I’ll have to purchase whether I win or not!!! LOL

  50. 72

    says

Oh these would be wonderful for holiday gifts! I would give one to my mom and one to my mother in law! I think over time I will try their templates and my own design. I would love to have these to give with proofs from an engagement so bride/groom could quickly jot down pre wedding ideas and “must do”s

  51. 73

    says

I am just starting up my photography business, so I would give them to the first two clients as a gift for referring new business to me (upon booking).

I would want to make one design from scratch and another from Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes.

I would use this as a marketing tool, including the client’s photos with my contact info and logo. Initially, this will be a promotional item, but later I will include it in a package or a la carte for purchase.

  52. 79

    Katie W says

I would love to give these as gifts to my family this Christmas. I would use the templates and and my favorite photos to create these!

  53. 81

    says

I LOVE these dry erase boards and would love to try them out! I would use one of Color Inc’s templates since I’m not an expert template designer. I have a 3-month old so I’d probably use one of his sweet photos and give them to his grandmas for Christmas!

I specialize in senior photography and the parents of my seniors are usually in denial that their babies are growing up, so I would definitely want to show these to the parents, as another way for them to remember their child! (grocery list, to-do list, etc)

  54. 84

    says

I would order one for myself, because, well, I have to have a sample! And I would probably order another for my Mother-in-Love for Christmas :) Being me, I would probably end up doing my own design, but if I’m in a cranky-I’ve-done-too-much-editing-and-neglected-my-family mood, I might go with one of the Roes templates (they are actually pretty cute, after all). As far as ideas on using them in the business… they could be used on the filing cabinet for a out in the open type session schedule? The spaces are small, so this wouldn’t work so well for a busy studio, but for someone like me, who only does 1-2 sessions a week typically, it could be used to have quick access to what day you have a particular client scheduled, while showcasing some of your best work :) You could use your studio logo as the background image 😉

  55. 85

    says

I would love this! I help my Uncle take care of my Grandparents and epch of them could use this and I could put one on my fridge so no matter whose house we were at we would all have the schedule! PERFECT! I would probably start out using a pre-made template. I own a photography business and could see my clients wanting these to use for so many things!! I love the idea of giving a sibling one to draw on the other siblings face! SO cute!

  56. 86

    Bethann Curtin says

I would use the board for my own personal use. The template with the three photos at the bottom would work perfectly for what I need, a chart for my 3 childrens’ chores and good choice/bad choice chart for the week. It’s my way of keeping them in line. Currently I am using paper but the dry erase would work so mush nicer. :) Once they grow out of this stage I’d probably switch it over and use it in the photography business part of my life.

The 2nd one I’d give to my Mother as a gift.. she loves photo gifts of any nature.

  57. 87

    says

I’d use these as client gifts for the holidays. What a great idea to replace the standard calendar on a magnet thing that’s been floating around for the past few years. I’d design my own, probably. Awesome!

  58. 88

    nina hudson says

•If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? Would you print up samples or use them for yourself? A customer? Or as holiday gifts?
I would give it to my friends she need one cause it would be good for cause she has kids

•Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes?
I would might use one of yours or i would try and use one of my picture with my four kids in it.

•What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)?
I don’t own any business but my friend is starting one and could use one for her business

  59. 90

    Krista D. says

I would love these! I would keep one for myself and probably give the other one to a family member. I would probably use one of Color Inc’s templates to create mine. Sadly, I’m just starting out on my photography journey, so I’m not in business. Thanks!

  60. 93

    says

What a great idea! I would love to give these as Christmas gifts to the grandparents. They can never get enough photos of thier baby boys!! As a photographer mama, picture presents are really all I give to family, so I am always looking for new formats for those photos! Great giveaway!
I would use one of thier templates for the first go around. And for a business, I think it would be a great item to have in your office – a good conversation starter for the many unique products that you have the ability to offer as a professional photographer.

  61. 95

    Tami R. says

I would have grand plans of designing my own template, but the templates offered are great and would be perfect for both sets of out of state grandparents. What a great idea!

  62. 96

    Kara says

If I won this, I would use it for my cousin’s senoir pictures that I took… what a great christmas gift idea! :)I would probably use my own template. When I do a session, I could use the dry erase board for posing ideas, I could have different poses printed on the board! :)

  63. 97

    Cynthia says

If I won to dry erase boards, I would keep one cause they’re so cute and one for my mom to have at work.
I think I would like to design it myself.
As part of my business, by giving one to my mom at work a lot of people will see it and a lot of people might want one.

  64. 99

    says

I would use the dry erase boards for my client gifts. I think they would be a great way to say thank you to them! I would use the free Color Inc templates – they’re cute! Using these as part of my business would be fairly easy; I’d just bring them along with me during my sessions or bring them with me when I volunteer at school functions.

  65. 102

    Chava says

I’d give one as a gift and keep one if I won. I would do one from scratch. I think the dry erase boards are a unique item to add to your business and showcase pictures for clients

  66. 103

    ANDREA BAKEWELL says

These are fantastic and what a great idea. As soon as I saw them I thought it would be a great gift idea for many people in my life! I would also print up some samples to generate orders using both my nature photography and portrait work…. love them! I use Roes now for printing so I may use some templates as well as create my own. Thanks for sharing this product with us.

  67. 105

    says

I would love to win these dry erase boards! They are so cute! I would have to keep one for myself and I’d give the other one away for a holiday gift, I always like making my own templates, so I’d probably go that route. I have never seen these and might just have to start offering them as one of my gift items to clients!

  68. 106

    says

OOOHHH!! First of all, I want one for MYSELF for sure! When the grandparents see them they’ll have to have one too. Of course it just goes on and on from there! :) PICK ME PLEASE!!

I love these! Great Christmas gift idea.
If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? I would make one up for Grandparents for Christmas and the other as a Promo gift.
Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes? Prob a template for one and experiment with the other.

    tram d. luu says

if i won i’d keep on board for myself and give one to my son’s 3rd grade teacher.

i would make my own design of course! that’s way more fun.

    i don’t own a business.

    hope i win!

  71. 110

I would keep both! One for home and one for work! I would use one of their templates! No business yet! Thank you!

  72. 111

    Laura says

If I won two dry erase boards I’d keep on for myself and with the hoidays coming up probably give on to my Mom for Christmas. I’d definitely use the free templates!

  73. 112

    Miranda G says

I would have to do one for myself (a custom design) and one as a sample to show customers. I love the template with the circles at the bottom. For my business, this would e a great thank you gift to give clients after a referral.

    bethany says

I would love to win this!!! I would use one for a sample for my clients and then give one to my niece with her pics on it. I would probably use the templates from rose. This would be a great idea for giveaways for my business 😉

  75. 115

    Ryan says

I would make my own design, would use the boards as gifts, probably for grandparents. I’m not sure what would be the best use for them in a photography business. They might make a good advertisement giveaway. Thanks for the giveaway.

  76. 116

    says

I think I would have to use them for my self…well family. I really like them to keep organized. Such as the calender template. My house is so crazy its easy to write and erase!
I would totally make my own design!!!
To use as a part of my business, would probably use to keep things organized in the studio. As well. Or client gifts.

  77. 118

    says

Awesome product! I would use these for a ministry I run called Safe Families Milwaukee. We help families in crisis by caring for their children while mom or dad get back on their feet. Think foster care – but without government intervention. I would give these to parents when they are ready to parent their children and would use some of the templates you features to help encourage the parents.

  78. 119

    Suzanne says

If I won these boards I would give one to the grandparents for a gift and keep one as a sample.
I would use the ROES template.
These would be great as a follow up gift to encourage repeat business.

  79. 120

    Christina says

I would love to win these boards. I was thinking of ordering some for Christmas gifts so this would be perfect. I think they would make great gifts for the grandparents, but I want one, too! So I guess I’d have to order more. :-)
I would probably try to design my own. But I would also check out the free templates to see what they have to offer.

  80. 121

    J. Thiessen of Strathmore, Alberta says

I would TOTALLY throw away my BLACKBOARD. I would keep them both for me and use them to communicate with my husband when we are not speaking to each other! Just kidding, but I would keep them both and write on them where people could get their own!

  81. 122

    says

I would love to give this gift to my daughter for her first year in college and to my sister who is the most dedicated, schedule following mama of all time!! I would probably design my own template because I am just a control freak like that! I don’t have a business!

  82. 124

    Marge Layton says

I would LOVE to win the Dry Erase Boards!!! =) I would use the two that I won to show my commercial clients as a gift suggestion for their clients. I would order additional boards as gifts. I would order both – custom made designs and also possibly use a template.

  83. 125

    says

I think I would give them to grandparents for Christmas, but will definately get them for myself and start for my clients! Love these! :) I would probably use the free template to start with. I can’t wait to order some of these!!! Too cool!!!

    * If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? Would you print up samples or use them for yourself? A customer? Or as holiday gifts?

I’d keep these two to play with and try things out with — I see these as great gift potentials.

    * Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes?

Both — that’s the fun of getting two!

    * What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)?

These would be great for client presentations when you don’t want to haul out a computer and plug it in, etc.

  85. 128

    says

I would love to win these. I think I would print up one as a sample and give the other to the 1st client that noticed the sample and said wow cool.
I think at first I would use the free templates, but then I would create my own depending on what the client wants.
I would use the sample one with my logo and put the clients name that I was meeting that day written on it..that way they could see how neat it would be. Plus show them what a perfect gift it was.

  86. 129

    Betsy Haley says

I would for sure us my own pictures and their templates! I would love to have one and give the other away! :) These are so cute!

  87. 130

    * If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? Would you print up samples or use them for yourself? A customer? Or as holiday gifts?
–I would probably make one for me and one for my mom because I miss her like mad when I’m at school. Plus, we could both use an extra push to be organized.
    * Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes?
–I would probably try it both ways to see what I like best. I’d like to *think* I could make an awesome one from scratch but I probably need help.
    * What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)?
–help organizing what will eventually (hopefully!) grow to be a business

  88. 132

    says

I would LOVE some of these dry erase boards! I spent about $20 at a craft store in August to get 2 boards for my classroom – and wouldn’t you know the magnets weren’t nearly strong enough to keep them in place, so they’ve fallen countless times, leaving them dented and banged up! Then, when trying to remove the magnetic backing, the “high-quality” paperboard peeled away as well! Ugh!

I’d love to utilize the calendar feature, and I’ve already got images of my school community on file to add so I could use them from year to year! I’m thinking a ROES template would probably work well for this, but when I think about the marketing/scheduling and convenience possibilities of having one with my business logo as well, and I could go on forever!

Here’s hoping!! Oh, and I LOVE the idea of using these as fun art for your kids! That’s awesome!

  89. 135

    Lorena Mora says

This is such a cute idea. I love it, I would probably keep one for my self and give one to my sister. I would definitely add pictures.

  90. 137

    Tracey Jolley says

I would keep one and give one to my son for his room!! He would LOVE this!! I would use the templates and could use this to promote my jewelry business! I love this idea!!

  91. 138

    says

LOVE these! I would buy one for a most treasured client, and keep one for us. I like the templates you show, and knowing me, I’d have to get creative and do some custom, as well. What a fabulous marketing and client thank-you idea!! Love all you do, Jodi! :)

  92. 140

    says

Those look like so much fun! I would give one to my daughter for her room – with pics of her friends. I would use the templates, I think. No business, but I think they would be a great idea to show some really nice options for using photos in a different way (aside of the coffee mug/mouse pad options!).

  93. 143

    says

Oh My Gosh! These are so adorable!!! If I won 2 of the boards. I would give ONE to my draling grand daughter with a photo of HER on it and the 2nd I would send to my son that lives in Alaska and I would have a photo of her darling niece on it.

I would get a wall calendar dry erase board and use it on my wall to mark photo shoots. I would put my favorite photo on it.

I would use one of the already made ROES template.

    How cool!

    *crosses fingers*

  94. 144

    Wendy King says

I think these would make great presents for both of my sons teachers. It would be a cool way for them to be remembered in the following years. (And who knows, the teachers might be drawing faces all over them instead.)

  95. 145

    cynthia says

I’d give them as gifts to my family for the holidays. These are adorable and the options are endless. Thanks for the resource and for the sweet giveaway.

  96. 146

    Laser says

I would have to say I would keep one for myself and give the other to my daughter who is constantly writing down to do notes everyday for her busy family. I think I would make up my own design, something personal. I don’t have a business but that does not mean I couldn’t show off the board to everyone I know!

These would make excellent gifts :) I really hope I can get lucky with this one!

  97. 147

    Tara Leavitt says

I would use them as gifts for the grandparents. They always enjoy all the photos I take of the grandchildren….and would love to have some on one of these boards. I would stick with using the free templates.

  98. 148

    EBPitcher says

Before I even got to the calendar in your post, I was already wondering it I could make my own dry erase calendar for Christmas gifts! If they have a template that works I’ll use it, if they don’t I’ll make my own. I don’t have a business, but this would be a great client gift with a small logo and a favorite photo from a past session.

  99. 152

    Erika says

I love these! I would love to win them for myself first because I’d love some of these for my office at home! I would also be interested in offering these to clients and would use the roes templates because they are great! Thanks!

  100. 155

    says

What a fun idea! I would give them as gifts to clients and I would create my own. I love the idea of using these as special gifts for great clients. I think this year I will give them to my 5-10 top spending clients and then in the future use them as gifts on occasional great orders. Love this!

  101. 157

    says

    How cute!

I’d have to get a few for gifts, but I’d definitely want to keep one for myself! Probably custom design…but you never know!

I don’t have a photography business, but these would be great to take to work to use for my audits and show off my kids at the same time. :)

Thanks for a chance to win.

  102. 158

    says

    1. I’d keep one and use the other as a Christmas gift.

    2. I think I’d do one of each.

    3. I don’t have a business, so I’m not exactly sure what I’d use them for.

  103. 160

    says

These are fantastic! 1) I would keep one for myself to use and one for a sample for clients. With the holidays coming up I might consider giving one away as a gift though. 2)I might design my own, but the templates shown here look pretty great so I’d have to wait and see them all before deciding. 3) I would definitely use one of these to set-up a check off “to do” list for my business weekly.

  104. 162

    Melissa Brown says

I LOVE these! I would probably keep one to show off and give one away as a gift. I would probably use my own design but not for sure. I think these would be a great add on for my business.

  105. 164

    says

If I was to win the dry erase boards, one, I would buy Design Aglows newest product and help myself get organized.http://www.designaglow.com/store/product/191/Essential-Studio-Workflow-Tools

Second, I would use it as an add on product for my seniors. Every senior girl going to college puts a dry erase board on her dorm room door. How cool would she be to have one personalized with her picture on it instead of a mass produced one from Wal Mart. So cool!

  106. 165

    says

I love these! I would want one for myself and showing clients. I would also use one for our soccer coach. I think the templates are a great idea and I love the blurred white background with just the hint of a picture behind it! Thanks!

  107. 166

    says

I would love to win them for my mom and my boyfriends mom!

I would probably use a template, they are CUTE!

Don’t have a photo business. Yet!

  108. 167

    says

I would use one board as a sample for my clients and probably give one to my parents with pictures of all their grandkids.

I would probably use the template for one of the boards and then design my own template for the additional board.

Love this idea to use as a calendar display in my office or to take to a shoot as a check list.

  109. 169

    Jacy says

•I would give 1 of the boards to my sister and the other to my mother as gifts!
•I would probably use the templates for now, since time is a precious commodity these days.
•I think business owners could use these when they are meeting with their clients to discuss their order…and then it would sell itself!!

I would give one as a gift and keep one as a sample:-)

Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes?
I would like to try one of theirs and also tinker with making my own design from scratch.

What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)?
I would make them available for customers to order. I think it would be a great addition to what I already offer.

    Tanya T. says

I would love to give one of these to my dad. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and if I got one with a calendar on it and pictures of his grand kids he could put all of his appointments on it and every time he looked at it it would cheer him up! I would give the other one away as a gift also but not sure to whom!!!

  112. 172

    says

I think it would be great to make one of these using a couple’s engagement photo. Guests at their wedding could then write messages on it to use as a prop in a reception photo booth.

  113. 173

    Natalie Haney says

I would keep one for myself, and give one to grandma!
I would use their custom templates for sure!!!!! Great marketing tool! I totally agree…especially for Christmas!

  114. 174

    says

If I won these I would either give them as gifts for the grandparents or gifts for clients.
I think I would use the templates – I like the calendar!
I would use them as thank-you gifts for clients – what a neat idea!

  115. 175

    Bob Wyatt says

    These look GR8! If I win I:
-for the business use these as “value-added” products for certain order levels
-use the free Color Inc templates
-give on to the Mom of the senior I am shooting this weekend. Very economically disadvantaged family of Mom and three girls. Combining the senior shoot with also the other two girls and giving her some wall art

  116. 176

    says

I would use one for myself (sample) and the other I’d give to my mom. I’d probably take a look to see the templates Color Inc is offering and use them. I like the idea of having them as a special bonus either during the holidays or once a year clients can purchase them (maybe right before the start of school!)

  117. 177

    Suzette Hughes says

I love your product. I teach kindergarten and I would love to use them with my students for number and letter writing.

  118. 179

    says

I would probably use them as stocking stuffers for my kids. They love dry erase boards and I think that they would think it was neat if Santa brought them ones with their pictures on it.

  119. 180

    Patti T says

These are cool! I’d give them to my two children who are in college. Great for dorm room doors. I’d probably use a design of my own.

  120. 184

    Shelby says

    I LOVE these!

If I win, I would keep one for myself and make one up as a sample to show customers.

I would start with the free templates – they are too cute!

I would promote these as grandparent gifts and also use as giveaways with large orders.

  121. 185

    says

I would definitely use them as gifts! My daughter is getting married next May and I have a 10 year old granddaughter, and both would love to have any of these boards! I would definitely use my own imagination and create my own board! I love creating my own designs and this would be the perfect opportunity!

  122. 186

    Ellen Kauffman says

I would probably keep them for myself, maybe give one to grandparents. :)
And I would use one of ColorInc.’s templates.

  123. 190

    says

Oh I would Love two of these to send with my Teenage daughters to school. Free Advertising for me – fun for my girls and friends. I would use my own design.

  124. 191

    says

I would create one sample for my studio, and create one for our very own refrigerator (of my sweet puppy, of course!). Most likely, I’d design something myself, but keep it simple. For my business, I would take into account the previous MCP post about not discounting, and offer these instead for a future high-order promotion.

  125. 192

    says

These look so fun! I’d love one for myself and one for my 3-year-old to practice writing her letters and name on. I’d probably use Color Inc’s free templates to start, but it would be fun to design some of my own. I’d love to offer these as add-ons to print orders, for marketing purposes and they’d make great client appreciation gifts!

  126. 193

    says

I would keep one for myself/sample and give one away to a client. I would probably use their design templates. I think I would like to give this as an incentive if they spend so much they receive one free.

  127. 195

    says

•I think i would keep one for my own fridge, and then give one as a christmas gift to my mother in law
•I really like the idea of my own design, but might end up using a template due to time issues.
•These would be great to offer as a product to clients.

  128. 196

    Kim S says

How cute are these!!!! I would probably keep one for myself and maybe use one as a prize for one of the little contests I have randomly with my clients for referrals…OR keep them both and give them away to grandparents for Christmas. I really like the look of the two template examples you have up there and everyone needs a calendar..so I would probably do the ROE templates! I can totally see these being prizes, or added as part of packages with the business. I think clients would love them!

  129. 197

    says

I would LOVE to win these for my mom and my sister. They are “to do list” kind of girls and would love to incorporate my photos on them! I would use the free templates for starters but then I would try to design my own. Thanks so much!

    I follow you facebook:)

  130. 198

    says

I love these! I would love to win so I can print up some samples. I would use ColorInc’s templates, and if I felt super creative, maybe eventually design my own. I love the idea of these as client gifts since it will keep you and your work in their minds every day.

  131. 199

    Rochelle says

I would keep one & give one as a gift to my secret pal or maybe my mother in law. I think I would design my own template.

I might use one of the templates!

What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)?

I think they would be great to gift to VIP clients, but I think it could also be marketed as a great “grandma” gift to let clients buy.

Attaching a picture of the dry erase board I’ve already gotten, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it :-)

  133. 201

    Ann Kantola says

I would love to make 2 for my twin girls also. I would make up my own design, would make great gifts also.

  134. 202

    says

These are by far the best looking Dry Erase Boards I have seen! I would use one for me and my family and one for a functional sample. I would like to make my own design from scratch! I think they would be a great promotional item to offer with purchases of at least $XXX – or as a thank you gift to loyal customers. Heck they’d even make great gifts for the in-laws 😉

  135. 207

    says

Two is simply not enough! I need one for the daily “to-do’s” so I don’t lose my mind. I need two for teachers, two for my twins, one for my oldest son to draw on my twins, one for my “pose list” when I’m off to a session, and of course one for each set of grandparents because they’ll be jealous when they see mine :) They look awesome!

  136. 210

    Rene says

Awesome giveaway! I would love to give one to my niece (a brandnew mother) and my sister (grandma) this Xmas! I think the calendar would be great to help the new mom keep track of “stuff”, while the full-size picture board attached to the file cabinent in grandma’s 6th grade class would give her super bragging rights! Excellent marketing tools to use in newborn photography businesses!

  137. 211

    Midori says

Question one is easy! I would use them as gifts! I have great photos of my niece and I’d love to give one dry erase board to her mom and another to grandma!

I would probably dabble with the template but knowing me, I’d end up created my own design.

Love your blog – always great info and great guest writers!

  138. 212

    says

    wow, these are super fun!
I’d love to make a sample board for clients: this would be a super fun board to use baby pics on as a gift to grandparents, or for a bride & groom, housewarming, omg so many great uses!
I’d probably start out by using the templates.
This would be such a fun thing to offer clients.
    So tempting to keep one!

  139. 213

    says

Love these! They are so creative!
I would definitely give them to friends and family as gifts and maybe one for myself too. :)
I like the calendar design in Roes.
I think I would make the suggestion that this kind of thing is out there but I wouldn’t necessarily market them.

  140. 215

    Melissa H. says

If I won two of these I would keep one for myself (I mean how cool are these?) and then give one to my mom for Christmas- what a great gift! I would probably use one of the free templates to design mine. And I don’t have a business (YET!) so I would probably think of this as a future item I might offer.

  141. 217

I’d probably use the templates, then keep one for myself and give one to my bestfriend cuz we both have unsteady work schedules to keep track of.

  144. 222

    says

If I were to win I would give them away to the grandparents as gifts. I think I would probably want to design my own rather than use the templates. I think these could be used as a “cheat” board on shoots. Or give them to customers as a thank you gift.

  145. 223

    Kristi says

I would love to have these, one for my girls to look at and one for my husband when he deploys. We are always using dry erase boards, so I think one customized with our photos would make the deployment a little happier =)

  146. 224

    Tanja Jacobsen says

oh wow!! I Love these! What a neat Idea, if I won I hate to sound greedy but I would def keep one for myself, & maybe give one to my Mom for Christmas. :) Going to share this on Facebook now!!!

  147. 225

    says

These would be so great for church! The kids could draw *and be quiet* and parents around me would see my art. It’s a Win/Win!
Wonder if they make clipboards? That would be awesome to take on shoots with contracts etc.

I think I would use a template in Roes.

  148. 226

    says

I’d LOVE these! I would use them as gifts and customer Xmas gifts! They’d be great giveaways on blogs/facebook pages also! I would use one of your templates or their free ones.

  149. 227

    says

Brilliant idea! What would I do? I’m a carer and my business supports carers and especially those they care for. These would be perfect for those with dementia. If I won, I’d print up two – one sample and one for the person I provide care for. The images would help to make the boards meaningful and relevant to those (our loved ones) who have memory issues and need this type of display for their ‘daily stuff’. Currently we use normal whiteboards but these provide that wonderful opportunity to link back to the person with meaningful images that gain their buyin to reading the boards. I’d probably try to use existing templates at first but would customize over time as they became more popular…

•Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes?

I would most likely try the Roes :)

•What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)?

I would offer these for childrens sessions, I think kids would find these particularly fun!! they could also work for boudoir sessions to give their man with their sexy image on them to use for work :)

  152. 230

    Sarah says

I would give them to my kids. They are learning to write and would have such fun practicing their writing on their own photos! I’d probably use one of the Roes templates for now, but it would be fun to have the opportunity to create a design in the future. It would be a fun offering for families who were looking for different gift options. Very fun!

    says

    1. one for myself and the other to use as a sample

    2. hard to decide….I would probably do both at some point

    3. they would make great give-a-aways or as promo items to give to my biz partners to cross market our businesses

As A wedding photographer I would use one as a sample and have an engagement photo put in of one of my couples & calendar layout on there, then would use it as a sample to show couples they could use this cute design to keep track of their wedding plans!

I like the idea of using a premade template, fast and easy works for me!

If I used them for my business I would use it for checklists. Right now I keep a to-do list at my desk of personal todos and business todos so that I can keep things seperate and stay focused.

  157. 237

    says

I would give one away to a client and the 2nd I would use as an example maybe when showing clients a wall design…I’m kinda a doodler! I would be more likely to use a template…and I would use this in my busines as a to do list or instead of scratch paper while helping a client order~

  158. 238

    says

Wow–these are great! If I won, I think I would host my own contest for my clients! Of course I would take photos of the finished products in order to add these to my product offerings. I’ll take a look at the ROES templates, but I would probably end up creating some templates of my own using MCP products or maybe even my album design software.

  159. 240

    says

I think I’d give one to each of my kids for Christmas. These are awesome! As much as I’d love to design my own, I’d probably end up using their template. LOL! I don’t currently have a business, but this would be a great sample piece when I do.

these are really neat when I read the post on FB it didnt seem to exciting but theyare super cute!

I would give one to my folks and use the templates to create something wonderful for them as they don’t get to see the grandkids but every few years.

I’d keep the other for myself and use it to sell with photo packages

make it an option when purchasing prints….

    1) If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? Would you print up samples or use them for yourself? A customer? Or as holiday gifts?
*I would keep one for myself and depending on what picture was used would be what I would do with the other one.
2)Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes?
    * Im sure I would use one of the templates the 1st time around.
3)What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)?
*As the main sports shooter for the football team I would give one to the coach.

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE!!!!

    1. I would definetly use at least one to promote them and maybe use one as an incentive gift from met to a senior rep! What a cool idea to add to Senior packages!
    2. I would probably use the free templates, and then try to create my own….
    3. I would love to add these to my family and Senior packages! I think these are soooo great! I would use them as a gift for upgraded packages. Another idea would be to give them to a senior as a gift for bringing in a certain amount of new business.

xx I HOPE I WIN!!! xx

I would keep one to use for studio organization. And give the other to my mom with pictures of my kids on it.

I would probably buy Design Aglow’s template.

I would love to have an easy place to remind me of sessions, proofing and blogging.

I would use one as a gift for my sister with a picture of my niece on it. The other would be a sample. I would love to try out some of Color Inc’s templates. I would love to offer these as a product in my photography business. I think they would go great for holiday gifts or even back-to-school time (I’m thinking kids might put them in their lockers). Also, the calendar ones might make a great marketing item/gift to clients.

    What an awesome product!

    Natasha says

If I won 2 dry erase boards I would print one for myself and one for a sample. I would use one of Color Inc’s templates and possibly attempt my own design for the second one. In my business I would promote these to busy families to keep schedules on the fridge alone with the images on the dry erase board. I think these would be great for mom’s and grandmas!

  166. 251

    Stacee Taft says

I would keep one as a studio sample and use the other for my mother in law. She LOVES photos and is difficult to buy for… this would be the perfect gift! :)

  167. 252

    Dawnette Walters says

    • I would give one to my grandmother since she is the number one “girl” in my life and the other would go to my grandson since he is the number one “boy” in my life!
    • I would probably use the Roes.
    • I think these will be a huge hit with my customers for gifts!

  168. 253

    says

These are so neat!! My girls are both really into dry erase boards right now, and they would go crazy if they could each have one with their photo on it, so I’d probably keep both. I would use a Roes template due to save time. I think these would great awesome clients gifts too!

    Summer Crosbie says

I would love to win these to give as gifts! Both sets of my parents live in Florida, while me and my family live in California. I know my mom and Stepmom would go crazy for these with my boys’ on them. I would use one of Color Inc.’s templates to make it. What a great product to have to show a client for the holiday season!

  170. 257

    says

These dry erase boards would be great on a wall in my home office and as a gift to my sister, a school teacher.

I like the templates Color Inc. offers, but I’d enjoy designing my own and customizing it to my needs.

Sending these to clients that have high traffic in their offices/businesses is good for marketing. The dry erase board can be in a lobby of a doctor’s office and serve as a place to put a catchy phrase or quote like “Be a picture of good health.” Sounds corny, but corny phrases are often the most memorable!

In any case, photo dry erase boards are another great product for photographers and clients everywhere.

  171. 258

    says

I would definitely use one to make a gift for my parents who live in South Africa and don’t get to see my son too often. The other would be for us to enjoy while also serving as a sample for clients. 😀

    Hope I’m not too late
    1. I would use these for my two girls. They will just love them.
    2. Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes?
    3. I think this would be a great promo to send out.

  173. 260

    says

If I won the boards, I would give one to my sister and keep one, but use it as a sample. Then I would order them as Christmas gifts! I’m already planning this.
I think I’d start with the free templates, then get creative eventually.
Also, I would add this to our products to customers and bring my own along on shoots as an example. Very cool product for a good price!

  174. 261

    says

I would love to win these… I would probably keep them as samples..!! and I might make my own designs but die to time I probabalywould use premade templates!! :)

  175. 263

    says

I would make one for my husband’s desk and one for my fridge – subjects would be my girls of course :)

I would most likely use one of their templates unless I had a little free time to design something on my own. Time with 3 under 5 hmmm….

I do not have a business but I can totally see how these would be fabulous to show to clients. They are awesome! Thanks :)

  176. 267

    says

If you win 2 dry erase boards, who would you give them to? Right now, I would give them as Christmas gifts to grandparents.

Would you print up samples or use them for yourself? A customer? Or as holiday gifts? Right now I’d use them as gifts, but when we return to the States, I would use them as promotional items. I would put a couple of pictures of a family from a recent shoot, along with my business information, as a “freebie” in a photo package. They would likely keep it forever, since their loved ones are included, and their friends and family would easily see my information – great marketing tool!

Would you want to make design your own from scratch or use one of Color Inc’s Free templates in Roes? I would definitely use the free templates!

What ideas would you have for using these as part of your business (if you have one)? As stated above, I would use these for marketing. I might also take pictures of flowers or food from florists or caterers at events, then give them a dry erase calendar with samples of their work, along with samples of my work, to display in their business… again, keeping my business info displayed. It would be beneficial to their business, as well as my own.

  177. 268

    Kyna says

I’d probably give them away as “thank yous” to people who are helping me get started with photography–maybe one to my “constant photo subjects (nieces’/nephews’ families) and also maybe to my first “real” portrait shoot subjects’ family. :) And they’re so super cute, I’d probably have to order a couple for me. :)

  178. 269

    Nicole Churchill Jones says

I would love to have one for myself (and a sample) and one to give away to my inlaws for a Christmas gift. They look so fun!

  179. 270

    Jennifer Guymon says

I would order one for myself and another for my parents. I would have to look at the templates first and then decide whether to use one or design my own.

  180. 272

    Laurie LeBlanc says

This is a great idea! I would definitely give these away as gifts to my 2 nieces with pictures of their little ones on the boards. I will use the templates provided just to make it easier. This would be a cute gift idea for clients that order during the holidays.

I am also posting a link to the contest on my Facebook page.

  181. 273

    says

I would be keeping one as a sample, and using one for myself! Then, I’d order a bunch more for Xmas gifts, because, who could resist? I think clients would LOVE these. I think I’d use them as incentives for buying bigger packages. Or just as gifts. I would probably design my own, but when I’m in a rush, the free templates look awesome!

  182. 274

    Dixie says

Oh, these are great!! I will definitely use them as holiday gifts and will most likely use one of the templates. My husband would love one of these with his grandson’s pictures on it!!

wow–talk about a creative christmas gift (if i can part with both of them–not sure i could); i would be sure to rely on my own creativity–my imagination is racing–for my daughter, some favorite photos of their horseback tour through washington state’s wine country; for my mother, photos from her 80th birthday party; for me, a blazing fall color photo of a cemetery where we found some ancestors–genealogy, you know? i could come up with something for everyone on my list. these are gorgeous!!! dw
