Contest: Win a 1 Hour Mentor Session With a Professional Photographer

THE BELIEVE IN YOURSELF CONTEST

Prize:

Winners will be picked and announced on Sunday, May 23rd. Winners must contact me by May 25th to claim prizes.

  • Today we’re going to offer one more giveaway! I’m very excited to present this to you. It’s from my friend Deb Schwedhelm. Deb is not only a brilliant photographer she is also the co-creator of Wallflower Friends Workshops (along with Leah Zawadzki). The giveaway is a one-hour Skype mentor session with Deb! I love the idea of this because Deb is so passionate about people believing in themselves and doing what they love. She’s also very generous so I know she will be an open book and you will fully enjoy your hour with her. (I’m actually a tad jealous!)

How to enter:

Add your entry in the comment section of this MCP Blog post (not on Facebook) by answering the question: What is the ONE question you would like to ask a seasoned professional photographer? Please write ONLY one question down to qualify.

    My one question would be…
As a beginner, what are the main steps I would need to do to get my business on the ground?

I would ask – what is the secret to consistent color and skin tones in post processing? I know the basics, just can’t always get it to work correctly!

Thank you so much for this contest! The one question I would like to ask a seasoned photographer is: What’s the one piece of advice you would give another photographer who is afraid to pursue photography full time?

  14. May 22, 2010 at 9:09 am —

When was the moment you decided “I get it…I really KNOW photography…I’m going to call myself a ‘photographer’ and I can now begin marketing myself as such.” At what point did you decide that you have the skills and expertise down to “BE” a photographer and not just an enthusiast or hobbyist. When were you secure enough to make that leap?
