Fujifilm X100s and X20 photos leaked ahead of CES 2013
Fujifilm is preparing to announce a couple of new premium compact cameras. The models in question are the X100s and the X20. The former is expected to replace the X100 in the near future, while the latter is poised to succeed the X10, albeit the changelog will not be massive.
Lightroom gets new Seim-Effects toolkit
Seim Effect has released a bunch of new plugins for Adobe Lightroom users. The new Color Fantasies 2 is available for download for all Lightroom users, regardless of their software version or their operating system. The toolkit will be released with a fair price tag and it should bring a lot of creative ideas to a photographer’s work.
Shutterfly to buy ThisLife?
Shutterfly is rumored to buy a relatively new photo-sharing service for a considerable amount. There are plenty of gossip talks suggesting that the company is planning to acquire ThisLife for a price of $25 million and to add many of its features to Shutterfly’s services as soon as possible.
Lastolite launches new studio products
Lastolite has introduced a bunch of accessories for professional photographers who perform their work mostly in a studio. There are five new products, including a Mega Umbrella, which, in turn, will be released in two versions. The umbrella is joined by multiple strobo parts and a support system.
Canon EF 24-70mm f/4.0L IS USM lens released with a $1,499 price tag
Canon has unveiled a new standard zoom lens for full-frame EOS-series DSLR cameras. The new optic consists of the EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM, thus being the company’s first 24-70mm with a built-in optical image stabilization system. The lens’ availability details have been confirmed, too, and here they are!
Samsung NX mirrorless camera goes 3D
After announcing the NX300 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, Samsung has revealed another product for the NX-mount line-up. It consists of a lens and it is a special one because it allows photographers to capture photos in 3D. Without much further ado, here is the NX 45mm F1.8 2D/3D lens!
Nissin MG8000 Extreme flash now available in the UK
Nissin has unveiled a new flash gun for customers in the UK, while availability in the rest of the world remains unknown for the time being. The Nissin MG8000 Extreme flash has been introduced for Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras. While some may consider it pricey, its features will surely make up for this.
Samsung NX300 mirrorless camera revealed alongside 20.3MP sensor
In anticipation of the 2013 edition of the Consumer Electronics Show, Samsung has revealed the NX300 mirrorless camera. This device uses a Hybrid AF technology and a 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor to capture beautiful photos in a quick, silent, and simple manner. The device will be on-display at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
