    1. Quicke Collection is the best!!!!!!!!! I use something from the set with almost every pic.2. Of Course the easy of using the action is the best part of MCP’s Action sets…what a time saver!!3. There isn’t anything in particular that I am looking for, Maybe some texturizing actions. I am considering purchasing the Frosted Memories Collection, I think there are some textures in there!

  2. gina on July 28, 2008 at 5:17 pm

    1. the complete workflow set, but the magic skin comes in at a close second2. the fact that you can paint the parts that you want to part, leaving the skin untouched… that’s my favorite part3. i agree w/ gina above, more texturizing actions, and more borders…

  3. Janene on July 28, 2008 at 5:19 pm

1- I really like the Tell-a-storyboard set.2- I like that the storyboards are very classic and easy to use, but I can also change the background/border if I want.3- I LOVE templates (holidays, storyboards, baby announcements, etc.) and textures so any actions with those would be my recommendation!

  4. Adrianne on July 28, 2008 at 5:27 pm

It’s very, very hard to choose but I love the Gallery Frames Actions. It makes it quick and simple to show how a pix will look framed and give it just that extra little ooomph. LOL I would love to see a frame action that takes the original photoe and uses that as the frame. Thanks for all you do! Adrianne

  5. Kate O on July 28, 2008 at 5:32 pm

Great contest. Hard to choose my favorites and why.1) I love the Quickie collection but I think eye doctor is tied for first.2) I love that they are quick, easy and that you can change the opacity of the layers if you want.3) I would love some template actions.

  6. Karen London on July 28, 2008 at 5:57 pm

    1. touch of light touch of darkness2. doesn’t destroy pixels, EASY to use, every picture needs it!3. a one click action that immediatly takes out color casts, puts in contrast, pops color, lightens and pops eyes, sharpens and doesn’t need any evaluation from me to make it look good 🙂

  7. Carrie on July 28, 2008 at 6:24 pm

My favorite action is the eye doctor, the reason I love it is it makes my post production work much faster…and it yields great results! My hope is that Jodi will make an action that inspires me to shoot something just so I can use it.

  8. Teri on July 28, 2008 at 6:44 pm

1.) Eye Doctor2.) I’ve used several others like it and they just don’t compare. Jodi does a great job with all her actions to make them user friendly and backs it all up by sharing ways to help you continuely grow in your knowledge of Phtotshop!3.) Some template actions would be fantastic. You’re the best Jodi – Thanks for all you do!

  9. Natalie on July 28, 2008 at 7:11 pm

    1) I can’t choose one set! I love the complete workflow, eye doctor and dentist! They are all absolutely amazing! I’m sure the others are too – I am saving my $$ to buy more!!2) I’m going to talk about the eye doctor because I have used other eye-enhancing actions and they do not even COMPARE to yours. I love that sharp-as-a-tack is limited to just the eye!3) I would love to use actions with texture, as others have mentioned. I watched your texture tutorial and I’m trying and experimenting, but an action would be so awesome. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR TALENT!!!

  10. SandraC on July 28, 2008 at 7:12 pm

My fav action is Touch of Lightness/Touch of Darkness action, to give your pic that little extra it needs. Actually, that is the case with all of them, you make it so much easier to have great pics. I would like to see some grunge/hard edged actions, to make a pic a bit extreme (do you know what I mean :-D)

  11. ~Jen~ on July 28, 2008 at 7:36 pm

Jodi, you always have the BEST contests!!SO hard to choose just one fav, but I think probably the Tell-a-storyboard sets are my favorites. I’m not skilled at creating layouts, and those storyboards are so easy to use and my clients love them! I would love to see you come out with a set of Lightroom presets to compliment your actions. Thanks!

  12. Barb on July 28, 2008 at 8:24 pm

The only ones I’ve used are the Eye Doctor/Dentist, though I just heard of a freebie that I want to try (touch of light, touch of dark?). I love the Eye Doctor and Dentist actions equally. The Eye Doctor enhances the eyes perfectly, making their true beauty shine through. And the Dentist makes everybody’s teeth look great, even if they have some problems to begin with (and who doesn’t want their smile to look wonderful, yet still like their own?!). :DWhat would I like to see? Hmmmm, I was starting to create my own set of Silhouetting Actions, but since you’ve recently had that series on silhouettes, I think it’d be cool if you made some of those. :)Thanks so much for the opportunity to win a Tracy Joy bag!!

  13. tracey skadberg on July 28, 2008 at 8:59 pm

    1. Favorite is the eye doctor! 2. They are practical and actions that I want to use frequently! 3.I would like some more borders and textures! Thanks!

  14. Meggan on July 28, 2008 at 10:38 pm

Humm… 1. I really love the burnt edges action 2. It’s so simple but adds so much drama to my black and white images 3. I’d like to see more storyboard actions or frames. Thanks for all you do to make me better at what I do!

  15. catlin Humes on July 28, 2008 at 11:31 pm

    1. I love the edge burning action2. Whenever I try to burn edges, it just doesn’t look right. One side is always off from the other and it just doesn’t…go. But with this action, I get what I want every time.3. I would like to see more free actions…lol, I’m just starting out and anything I can get my hands on (on my budget) is such a help to my work flow.

  16. Wendy M on July 28, 2008 at 11:36 pm

Ok, here’s my favorite — the free Touch of Light/Touch of Dark. I have purchased quite a few mcp actions, but this freebie set is one I use on almost every picture for one thing or another. AND ITS FREE!!! What action would I hope to see in the future?? How about some more frames or some kind of overlay action? What about an action to make hair shiny-er? Can you do that?

  17. Jenny on July 28, 2008 at 11:50 pm

1 – What is your favorite MCP Action Set (can be free or purchased)? My favorite is the Tell A Story-Board, I love how easy it is to create a storyboard, instantly!2 – What do you like best about your favorite MCP Action Set, or about the actions from MCP Actions as a whole? They are all so easy to use, it’s great that you don’t have to read a book to be able to use them.3 – Describe what type of action(s) you hope MCP Actions makes in the future. I would love to see something funky, with lots of textures.

  18. Allison on July 29, 2008 at 12:41 am

1: Definitely the Touch of Lightness Touch of Dark.2: Easy to use… easy to understand… and yield fabulous results.3. One that gives a slight boost without over saturating the colors.

  19. Erica Velasco on July 29, 2008 at 2:30 am

Erica Velasco – erica@visionphotographs.com1 – Just got some of your actions and LOVE them! My fav so far is the Complete Workflow action set. But I use your free frame action on all my images!2 – The actions in total are very complete and let you customize them per photo, which is extremely useful!3 – I’d like to see more black and white actions (different kinds) and maybe some that can be used to stylize wedding photos in particular. Not sure what that would be but haha just a thought.

  20. Vanessa on July 29, 2008 at 8:15 am

Yay what a fun contest. 1) Favorite action is the Touch of Light/Dark. 2) It completely saves some shots that you think are ruined. You can enhance your subject. MCP actions are actions you use all the time, simple yet efficient. 3). If MCP were to create new actions, I would love texture actions.

  21. Aaron H on July 29, 2008 at 9:10 am

1 – I’m a new user & I just bought your Eye Doctor/Dentist & Magic Skin actions (as a package) & I think i’m in love. 2 – The magic skin action would have to be my favorite, it is a life saver, especially when you live Georgia where heat & humidity leaves even the most perfect skin blotchy, red & shiny. 3 – I would love to see more vintage inspired actions.

  22. Tami on July 29, 2008 at 9:21 am

20-*My favorite is the MCP Quickie Action Set, I purshased it and use it almost for every picture, has everything you need.*I like the variety of what I can do with it, best, sharpen, color pop, anything I need to do is there. I love, love, love the pecan bw tone conversion, use it almost exclusively for every black and white, it’s adjustable, love that. * What would I like to see…hmmm, that’s hard, MCP’s got it covered- what about a softer (adjustable to be sharp) antique action, without the haze of the frosted memories set?

  23. Sarah Cooper Terry on July 29, 2008 at 2:26 pm

Hi Jodi!My favorite collection is The quickie collection!!!I love it because it always has what I need to edit my photos, and being a beginner that is a plus!!! But I still love them all when I am in a mood for a change.I would love to see more textures and B&W or browns, with just a small bit of color. But if not I would'nt mind. As I have all of them and I really do think they are so helpful and useful. They give my photos that something extra! Thanks so muchSarah

  24. Olivia on July 29, 2008 at 10:35 am

1 – Simple, but quick! Edge Sharpening Action2 – They always work perfectly and you can still customize things. The site provides great video tutorials and tips.3 – Maybe some templates? Thanks for hosting another great contest Jodi!

  25. Crystal on July 29, 2008 at 10:53 am

1 – What is your favorite MCP Action Set (can be free or purchased)?I *love* the Touch of Light/Darkness Action.2 – What do you like best about your favorite MCP Action Set, or about the actions from MCP Actions as a whole? It makes editing so quick and easy!3 – Describe what type of action(s) you hope MCP Actions makes in the future.I would love to see some actions for text editing (glass, plastic, gel texts.. etc for storyboards/framing)

  26. Melissa on July 29, 2008 at 11:20 am

1.)I love them all because I have them all, but my favorite by far is the eye doctor because it can make or break your pictures. 2.)Since purchasing the MCP actions (I Want It All set) my workflow has improved dramatically. It’s really as easy as 1-2-3 to use them.3.) I’m not sure if it’s possible but I would love to have some pretty brush actions to enhance some pictures from time to time.

  27. Penny on July 29, 2008 at 12:39 pm

    1. I love the Eye Dr and the Magic Skin. 2. I really appreciate that you can adjust these so easily. The results vary dramatically… from a better natural look to the the really WOW!! look!3. I love that you share with us your tips and tutoritals! Ways of achieving the different looks would be very valuable!!

  28. Navy Sou on July 29, 2008 at 1:29 pm

Favorite MCP Action: MCP Gallery Frame ActionLikes: I love how perfect the frame is for my photos! Not too little, not too much, but just enough to compliment my photos!Future Actions: How about texture actions!!!

  29. Jessica on July 29, 2008 at 1:45 pm

    1. My favorite MCP action is the “QuickieTones”(Pecan Pie) & the “Quickie Fixes”(Color Fixer)2. I like the QUICKY TONES-Pecan Pie because of the richness and LOVE the texture with it. I like the QUICKY FIXES-Color Fixer because of the flexability and quick color fix. It has saved me on more than one occasion.3. I wish that MCP would make an action with TEXTURES being solo. I absolutely LOVE the texture that comes with the PECAN PIE & ROCKY ROAD. I would like more variety in textures. ****Thanks MCP, you ROCK!!****

  30. Tiffany on July 29, 2008 at 3:08 pm

I love your complete workflow set…especially the color burst action. Great for a nice color pop! I would love it if you would make Lightroom presets or add another texture action set. Love your stuff!

Ciao Jodi!! I have been slacking and not commenting…but you know I love a contest! Favoriate action would be the magic “magic” on just about love love it!Favorite part about the action is when I have a client that has sudden case of outbreaks..I can assure them I have the problem in the bag! It makes their skin look flawless and beautiful. What to see in the future?? You pretty much have everything covered. Maybe some textures. Really rockin textures!

  34. Casey Cooper on July 29, 2008 at 7:32 pm

My favorite MCP Action Set is the burnt edges. I just love the darkening effect that it creates! My favorite thing is the ability to customize throughout the entire action. I’d love to see some Lightroom presets in the future from MCP actions! Thanks for all of the great tutorials and freebies!

  37. Sarah S. on July 30, 2008 at 12:48 am

    1. I own the workflow but just purchased the quickie set and pretty feel in love with the crackle action from moment one. ;0) I also love the Take Action on Cancer Awareness. Sorry its so hard to choose just ONE! ;0)2. I love how the actions make my photos pop and help capture that moment with even more emphasis. 3. I have much to learn so I will get back to you on that…still so much of what you already have created, that I have to explore. ;0) Thanks Jodi – love your stuff!

  38. Jennifer N on July 30, 2008 at 3:56 am

    1. Quickie Action. I plan to purchase.2. I like that I can take tutorials from you so that I can maximize the actions.3. Sloppy borders, swirly borders.

  39. Shelby on July 30, 2008 at 7:34 am

    1. Complete Workflow! It is awesome2. Love the instructions & tutorials. It helps me get the most from my actions3. Textures! Thanks for all that you do, Jodi!

  40. Taryn on July 30, 2008 at 7:56 am

Wow! I have to pick!!! Well, I use something from the complete workflow set on almost all my pictures. I also LOVE the eye doctor! I have found that MCP actions arethe best atmaking the picture great without a lot of input from me. Other actions you have to do a ton of adjusting, MCP actions allow you to adjust but I usually on tweak a tiny bit. Well, I am still trying to save up for more actions, so I would love more low-cost actions. Thanks!! Great Contest!

  41. GinaZ on July 30, 2008 at 9:40 am

1)I absolutely love the Touch of Light/Darkness action!! 2)Super easy to use and love the results it gives my photos!! 3)Definitely more texture/border actions!!

  42. LaRell on July 30, 2008 at 10:44 am

The versitle quickie set would have to be a fave with magic skin a close second. I like the “pop” that mcp actions give my photos. I can use them to turn a great photo into an awesome one. I would like to see more black and white actions from mcp.Thanks.

  43. Jody on July 30, 2008 at 4:00 pm

    1. I definitely love the eye doctor & dentist!!! They have helped me out a ton!2. I love that MCP action are so easy to use and really inspire me!3. I can’t think of anything I still need from you!!You rock!

  44. Traci Bender on July 30, 2008 at 5:29 pm

My favorite is the eye doctor and the dentist…I love it when clients ooo and ahhhh over the kiddos eyes and that is the first thing you notice on the shot. I would love for MCP to create some fun Christmas card templates that would be colorful and fun to use with regular family or kiddoe shots turned to black and white. I don’t really want to do anything theme-y this year…I want parents to be able to “kill two birds with one stone” by having their family shoot and then picking one to four pics to place in a card template that is offered. Thank you for all you already do to make my life easier and to help me look good! 🙂

  45. angela sackett on July 30, 2008 at 9:05 pm

    1. Currently I LOVE the burnt edges – I use #2 a ton! 2.I love that Jodi is not just a creator of great actions, but a great teacher, as well! Using the actions, I learn a ton about Photoshop! 3. I would love to see some texture, as well – mostly I am just saving for my big actions purchase!

  46. Dana Stone on July 31, 2008 at 9:06 am

I love the magic skin and eyes actions. I already knew how to smooth skin and brighten eyes but your actions work GREAT and they make my workflow so much faster! I love how your Magic skin actions have different levels/functions….I don’t always use Magic skin but I can “powder someone’s nose” quick touch up. They make my life so much easier!I would love to see some texture actions. I love the look but it takes such a long time…an action would encourage me to try it more!

  47. Julie Cook on July 31, 2008 at 4:16 pm

1 – What is your favorite MCP Action Set (can be free or purchased)? I only have your free ones… so of those, my fav is the frames. however, i sooo want your magic skin!2 – What do you like best about your favorite MCP Action Set, or about the actions from MCP Actions as a whole? I like the ease of use.. and i reallllly love the cause behind yor cancer awareness ones! 3 – Describe what type of action(s) you hope MCP Actions makes in the future.I would love anything that has to do with baby/babyskin. or maybe one that u can adds additional blur behind your subjects if your dof wasn’t enough. but anything u make i am sure will be great and on my wish list. Thanks!

  48. Janel Karrle on July 31, 2008 at 6:21 pm

My favorite MCP action is Powder Your Nose! I use this action on almost every portrait. I love this action because the results are perfect, not over done, and you have total control over it. I like all the MCP actions (I do believe I have them all) but Magic Skin is so worth having. As far as future actions, maybe some kind of softening, like a soft vignette you might use on brides. And I am always looking for a really good bleach bypass! Thanks for all the work you put into these actions!!!

  49. shelly on July 31, 2008 at 7:30 pm

Take Action Against Cancer Awareness is my favorite MCP action. I love experimenting with all of the different colours. It was free!! You can’t beat that! I’d like to see a 300 action made. Thanks Jodi!

  50. Gail on August 1, 2008 at 8:55 am

My favorite action set is the Take Action Against Cancer ones. What do I like best about it? Well…other than the fact that I’m poor and it was free…The variety of colors is so fun to play with. I don’t really know what actions I’d like to see you make in the future. Right now I’m hoping to soon get Powder Your Nose to use on portraits.

  51. Stacey on February 5, 2009 at 10:28 am

I think ALL of them. I love colour explosion, eye doctor and any of the skin powder actions! It has made a world of a difference in my pictures and so simple. I would love an awesome preset for lightroom to apply to all wedding images, just a simple one for colour, vignette, sharpening and contrast. Thanks for all the actions – I really do love them and you’re my little secret.
