Canon has just patented a new version of a lens with a 35mm fixed focal length and a maximum aperture of f/1.4. The company already did a similar thing in late 2014, while the rumor mill has said that such lens is coming in 2015, so the new Canon EF 35mm f/1.4 lens patent further fuels the speculations concerning its launch.
Canon to put a 25-megapixel sensor in the 1D X Mark II
Canon was previously rumored to put a sensor with more than 18 megapixels into the 1D X Mark II. Its predecessor, the 1D X, has 18.1-megapixels, so the company’s fans have welcomed these gossip talks. A trusted source is now reporting an exact amount that we can expect from the flagship EOS DSLR: 25 megapixels.
Sony ILCE-7RM2 aka A7RII coming on May 15 with 59MP sensor
Sony is rumored to hold an announcement event on May 15 or a few days earlier. Sony X Australia is teasing a product and has uploaded a photo of a broken mirror. Finally, a photographer has uploaded a 59-megapixel photo to Flickr and the EXIF data reveals a Sony ILCE-7RM2 camera, which means that the A7RII is coming soon.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens photo and specs leaked
Canon will make an official announcement within the next few days. The company will not reveal an interchangeable lens camera, nor a compact camera. The event will be focused on a new prime lens.
