Canon is allegedly working on a prime lens with a 58mm focal length and a maximum aperture of f/1.4. The rumors are inspired by a patent application for a Canon 58mm f/1.4 lens, which has been leaked in Japan. If it becomes a reality, then it will take on Nikon’s AF-S Nikkor 58mm f/1.4G lens, introduced in October 2013.
