Canon 70D announcement delayed until April 2013
Canon has announced four new cameras in a few minutes on March 21. One of these shooters is the world’s lightest and smallest DSLR camera ever, while two others are powered by the DIGIC 6 image processor. However, neither of these is the EOS 70D, as Canon has decided to delay its release date until April 2013.
Canon PowerShot SX280 HS unveiled with DIGIC 6 image processor
Canon has decided to introduce its next-generation image processing engine with the help of a couple of PowerShot cameras. The new system is called DIGIC 6 and it will become available in both the PowerShot SX280 HS and PowerShot SX270 HS. The 20x optical zoom compact cameras will be released as of April 2013 in the US.
Canon 100D / Rebel SL1 becomes world’s smallest and lightest DSLR

Nikon to begin manufacturing DSLRs in Laos as of October 2013
Nikon has posted a new press release, explaining that it will move some of its entry-level and mid-class DSLR camera production from Thailand to Laos. The company will also manufacture some interchangeable lenses in the Southeast Asian country, as all operations are scheduled to begin in October 2013.
