New Canon 70D rumor says big event is coming within 6-8 weeks
Just when many people were thinking that there will be no more Canon 70D rumors, the gossip talk is back, as the company is said to hold a big product launch event sometime in the next six to eight weeks. The event might be all about the rumored big megapixel camera, but all evidence points to the new EOS 70D DSLR.
Panasonic GH3 firmware update to be released in early July
Panasonic has revealed that the Lumix GH3 will be upgradeable to a new firmware soon. The Micro Four Thirds system will get several new features, including a Silent Mode and Low Light AF support, as well as having an WiFi bug fixed. The Panasonic GH3 firmware update will become available for download in early July.
Canon EOS M firmware update release date is June 27
Canon has attracted few EOS M customers because the mirrorless camera did not offer too many enticing features. Additionally, the device’s autofocus speed is very slow and there are few lenses available for the M-mount. Well, a firmware update is officially coming on June 27 and it will definitely fix the focusing speed issues.
White Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 lens is real and you can have it
Nikon photographers have always been jealous on their Canon counterparts due to their inability of having white lenses. The EOS maker is selling those cool-looking “L” optics, but Nikon is not allowed to follow the lead. Well, Taiwan’s Nikon Repair Center has restored and painted a Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 lens white.

The Fujifilm X-M1 is competing against the Olympus E-P5 for the “worst kept secret of 2013” title. Everything about the latter has been known ahead the camera’s official announcement and now the former is constantly making internet rounds. This time, its specs and photos of a brown version have been leaked.
Sony i1 Honami specs include interchangeable lens support
Sony is rumored to announce a Mobile Cybershot smartphone, which might be called i1 Honami, on June 27. The device is coming alongside the RX100 MKII and the RX1-R, as well as a new JPEG engine. Beside these, the upcoming event will also reveal that the i1 Honami will support an interchangeable lens mount.

NASA creates 1.3-gigapixel Mars panorama, thanks to Curiosity
Panoramas are great and NASA knows this, so its researchers have decided to compile a gigapixel shot of Mars by stitching together about 900 RAW images. All photos have been sent from the Red Planet by the Curiosity rover, which has captured them in the fall of 2012, while being in the “Rocknest” area.

Samsung Galaxy NX Android camera with WiFi and LTE announced
Samsung has wrapped up its Galaxy and ATIV event, where the world’s first mirrorless interchangeable lens compact system camera with WiFi and LTE support has been announced. It is called Galaxy NX and it runs on Android. It features a 20.3-megapixel sensor, quad-core processor, and it supports all NX-mount lenses.
Instagram Video launched with movies of up to 15 seconds
Instagram is growing and users want more features. The company has responded to the demands, as well as to Twitter’s Vine threat, by announcing that Instagrammers can now upload videos on the social networking platform. Users will be able to edit videos up to 15-second long using 13 filters and upload them on Instagram.

The long-rumored entry-level Fujifilm X-Trans camera has been leaked on the web. Several photos of the alleged device have appeared on the web, depicting a Fujifilm X-M1, along with a brand new Fujinon XF 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS zoom lens, while the novel XF 27mm f/2.8 pancake optic showed up online, too.

Two new Canon wide-angle lenses rumored to be unveiled soon
Canon is once again rumored to expand its lens offerings with a couple of wide-angle zoom optics. The two products are said to be the EF 16-50mm f/4L IS and EF 14-24mm f/2.8L, both of them able to keep their fastest aperture throughout their zoom range. The best thing about these two lenses is that they are coming in late 2013.
