Elements 7.0 – I did not forget about you… Photoshop actions?

I am not sure that I could do a review on Photoshop Elements since I do not use it in my every day life.  But I want to tell you, I purchased Photoshop Elements 7.0 today.  And I have some FANTASTIC NEWS for elements users who upgrade to this version.

There is a GUIDED editing area that has an “actions player.”  And while it is nowhere close to what Photoshop has to offer, nor can you record actions, it is a major step forward for Elements.  I have tested my action sets and while most of them use features unavailable in Elements and therefore cannot work, a few more can!

Here are a few that will work in Elements 7.0

– The Eye Doctor and Dentist (these have worked in the past versions too)

– The Tell a Storyboard Actions (10×20, 20×20 and variety pack).  The Rounded Up Set will NOT work.

– The Gallery Frame actions – these worked elements 3-5 but were not compatible with elements 6.  I may make them available again for elements 7 if there is interest.

– Some of the actions from the Quickie Collection – maybe 1/3 of them.  So I may consider making a set similar for Elements 7.  This will take some time as I will have to make new ones for 2/3 of the set.

– Many but not all of the actions from the Frosted Memories Set.  Again if I hear there is enough interest, I can work on revising this set.

None of these are for sale yet as I need to modify a few things and make installation instructions and user guides.  So sit tight…  And please comment if you have interest so I know if I should spend the time getting these ready.
