Alisha is headed to WPPI so there will not be a Newborn series post this week but she has answered the questions you left from the part 1 of her newborn series.
Thank you to everyone who left comments on my post. I am so happy to hear that it helped some of you refine your approaches to a newborn shoot. I wanted to write a short post to answer some of the questions posted in the comments section.

Thank you for such great information! I love that you are so generous to share your knowledge with the rest of us.
When will we see a part 2? Enjoyed part 1 very much and I am always looking for new tips on photographing newborns.
soon… she has it written. She just need to proof it and get it to me – hopefully within the week.
I was wondering if and when this newborn series would be finished. I have a newborn session coming up and would love the help. I found the first part so helpful. Thank you.
part 2 was posted the other day…
I just found this post randomly today and cannot find the third installment. Has it been done? I love all of this information. Thanks!
Wow such wonderful information…my daughter just announced that she is pregnant and I’m so very excited to be able to try some photographs on our first grand baby…My question is…what has been your best resource for props? Where do you find some of the things that you use.Thank you so much for sharing…I’ve very excited to learn that you use only natural lighting…as I don’t have one single strobe light anywhere and I was very concerned about that…if there is someplace to add my name to your blog I would love it…Thank you again
