Week 39 Recap + Week 40 Launch – Project 52

The seasons are racing on and here in England summer has now given way to Autumn and it has been a glorious week of rustic colours, blue skies and soft golden light.  For those in the southern hemisphere people are saying goodbye to winter and welcoming spring with all the promise that brings.  I just love this change in seasons, such a time of opportunity and it looks like many of you captured the glory of nature in this week’s Project 52 theme of “Man vs Nature”

Some of you also took a more light hearted look at the theme and detailed the many ways man (or woman) tries to battle against nature!  I hope you enjoy the selection of 10 photos I have chosen to be showcased on the MCP Actions blog this week.

And so onto Week 40 where this time the theme is “A Taste for Vintage”

To launch the new theme here is my take on A Taste for Vintage.  I decided to use the brand new MCP Lightroom Presets on my photo of Chloe, the beautiful daughter of my friend Rachel Durik. I have always had a soft spot for a vintage edit and for this photo I used Hot Cider and Blackberry Sorbet.  I have been one of the lucky testers of these new presets and they are such fun I can not recommend them highly enough!  Whether you are looking for a nice clean edit, a stunning black & white conversion or something a little more artistic you will find everything you are looking for in this comprehensive set.  Jodi plans to release them in October and I can’t wait!

I hope this week’s theme “A taste for vintage” will inspire you; the Week 40 theme starts now and runs until Friday 7th October.  See you over on Flickr.

This week’s blog post was brought to you by Rebecca Spencer {blog}   Rebecca is a passionate hobbyist who plans to leave the business side of photography to the professionals and just enjoy being a Mum with a camera, albeit a very good camera that she’s learning to use quite well! Why not pop over to her blog where she writes about her love for photography and say hello?
