While this is NOT a curves tutorial exactly, if you have CS4 or are considering getting it, this is a look at the Curves Adjustment Layer in the new “Adjustment Panel.”
I hope you will learn a lot from this diagram I have made for you. If you are wanting to actually learn CURVES, check out my 1 hour Online Workshop. I actually teach in CS3 since so many have not upgraded yet. But that along with this lesson, should have you on your way to enhancing photos using curves.

Thanks for the tip…I have CS4 but haven’t gotten the courage to use it yet. It’s so much easier to use what I already know (CS2), but I know CS4 is probably much better to work with. Just need to find more online tutorials!
thanks, I didn’t know about actually using it on the photo! Perfect!
You Rock!!!!
Hello,Just found you and this wealth of knowledge from Tina my little creations. Thank you for the freebies and all that you give. I don’t use actions but yours may change my mind. I just had to leave a comment like you asked and let you know that I will be back.THANK YOU!!!!!!
I think the Curves layer (and probably Masks) are my fave new changes for CS4. That hand point tool where you place and drag on an image is wonderful.
I didn’t know about click and drag, that’s pretty neat! What I want to know is how did you get the small graph? I can’t figure out how to switch mine to the small squares!!!
How do you make the graph smaller, my boxes are too large and I cannot find a way to make them smaller?Elizabeth
Very Nice.I wish to be so creative.
hi all, i hope you’re having fun here
