Sony RX200 specs list leaked online

After weeks of speculation, a more complete version of the Sony RX200 specs list has finally been leaked on the web.

Sony RX200 has first been mentioned earlier in 2013. The camera has been supposed to be the successor of the RX100, however, the camera might be just another model, since it may be referred to as RX100 MKII or RX100M2.

Sony RX200 specs include a 1-inch 20.2-megapixel Exmor R sensor, 28-100mm f/1.8-4.9 lens (35mm equivalent), full HD video recording, WiFi, NFC, and a tilting LCD screen.

Previously, the Sony RX200 specs have included WiFi, swivel display, and a hot shoe. Nevertheless, a couple of images of the camera’s manual have also been leaked and they have confirmed several features, while the rumor mill has managed to get a hold of a more complete list.

The upcoming RX shooter will feature a 1-inch 20.2-megapixel Exmor R CMOS image sensor, ISO sensitivity range between 100 and 12,800, HDMI and USB 2.0 connectivity, as well as WiFi, and a memory card slot with support for most SD cards, including Eye-Fi.

The Sony RX200 will also come packed with a 3-inch 1,228K-dot tilting LCD screen, 1920 x 1080p video recording, NFC, built-in flash, optional electronic viewfinder support via the multi-interface hot shoe, a zoom ring, and a white balance bracket.

It appears that the RX100 MKII will also feature a Carl Zeiss lens. The Vario-Sonnar T 10.4-37.1mm f/1.8-4.9 optic is said to power the camera, while providing a 35mm equivalent of 28-100mm. As usual, the lens will be fixed.

The official announcement is said to take place on June 27, meaning that there are 10 days left until we get the chance to see the camera in action for the first time.

Sony RX200 has put on some weight lately

The battery will receive one of the biggest enhancements, since it will allow users to capture up to 350 photos and will recharge a lot faster. This will increase the total weight to 281 grams with both the battery and the SD card included.

Sony RX200 is said to measure 101.6 x 58.1 x 38.3mm, while the previous version’s dimensions are 101.6 x 58.1 x 35.9 mm, meaning that the company has added just a little bit of width to the camera.

Sony RX100 currently weighs about 240 grams and it is available at Amazon for $648, while Adorama is selling it for the same price.
