Fujifilm has introduced a slew of new accessories for the weathersealed X-T1 mirrorless camera, taking it one step closer to becoming a professional’s favorite camera.
Photographers have welcomed the announcement of the Fujifilm X-T1 earlier this year. It is a weathersealed camera and it is definitely aimed at professionals, courtesy of an amazing set of features and weathersealing.
Now, Fuji has decided to make it even more attractive to the pros by releasing some new accessories. The list includes a couple of handgrips, a hand strap, and others.
Fujifilm X-T1 MHG-XT Large handgrip officially announced
The new Fujifilm X-T1 MHG-XT Large handgrip obviously consists of a large grip and an aluminum block that make the camera more robust.
Although it is pretty big, it leaves enough room to use X-mount lenses with large diameters. As a result, even if you are using the 23mm or 55-200mm optics, they will not come close to your tripod’s head.
This grip also provides access to the battery and memory card slot. Its release date has been set for May, but the price will be revealed prior to its launch.
Fuji also reveals Small version of the MHG-XT Large handgrip
The second accessory is called Fujifilm X-T1 MHG-XT Small. This handgrip is the base version of the MHG-XT Large, meaning that it consists only of the aluminum block, allowing users to choose among the other grips available for X-T1 users.
The MHG-XT Small can be used in combination with the VG-XT1 battery grip announced at X-T1’s launch, too. It is also set to become available in May, but it does not have a price tag for the time being.
Fujifilm GB-001 Grip strap makes sure that your X-series cameras are secure in your hand
Fujifilm’s third accessory is the X-series Grip strap GB-001. As its name is suggesting, it consists of a hand strap allowing users to hold an X-series camera in a more secure manner.
It is compatible with the X-Pro1, X-T1, X-E2, X-E1, X-M1, X-A1, X-S1, X100, X100S, and HS50 cameras. As you expected, it will be released in May for an unknown price.
EC-XT Extended eyecup is here to prevent light from entering in X-T1’s viewfinder
The fourth accessory on the list is the Fujifilm X-T1 Extended eyecup EC-XT. It is a new eyecup with a shape like a dome which prevents light from entering the viewfinder. Additionally, it is easier to look through the viewfinder regardless of if you are wearing glasses or not.
Fuji will release the EC-XT eyecup next month for a price that will be determined at a later date.
Fujifilm has got you covered thanks to the CVR-XT Cover kit
Last but not least, the Japanese manufacturer has introduced the X-T1 Cover kit CVR-XT. The package consists of a trio of covers for the sync terminal, hot shoe, and vertical battery grip.
If you manage to lose either one of these covers, then Fujifilm will put the X-T1 CVR-XT Cover kit at your disposal this May for a yet-to-be-announced price.
