Canon 1D X Mark II to be released on the market at the beginning of 2015

The first DSLR camera to be unveiled will be the Canon 1D X Mark II. It will take the place of the flagship EOS camera and will feature a full frame sensor based on a new technology.

Canon’s new sensor tech will be present in the 7D Mark II, which will be unveiled this summer, as stated above.

The new source does not say whether or not the 1D X Mark II will sport a big megapixel count. However, the rumor mill has previously suggested that this may be the case, so we should not rule out any possibilities for the time being.

Although the Canon 1D X Mark II is likely to become official in January or February 2015, there is a slight chance that it may be revealed in December 2014. Either way, shipping will begin sometime in the spring of 2015.

Canon 5D Mark IV to be announced shortly after the 1D X replacement

The second Canon full frame camera of 2015 will be the Canon 5D Mark IV. We have talked about this device in the past, when we have received information that it might be capable of recording 4K videos.

It is worth noting that the new source has not confirmed the previous rumors. The only information that it has provided regarding the specs is that the same new sensor technology to be introduced in the 7D Mark II will also be added to the 5D Mark IV.

It appears that the 7D Mark II, which is the company’s flagship APS-C camera, will follow into the footsteps of its predecessor, a DSLR that has been introduced along with numerous new features that have made their way into many Canon EOS cameras.

Meanwhile, Amazon is selling the 1D X for a price around $6,800, while the 5D Mark III is available for a price around $3,200, courtesy of a $200 rebate.
