The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP) has announced the winner of the Spring Time Competition 2013 photo contest.
SINWP is related to the Society of International Travel and Tourism Photographers (SITTP). Both societies are great places to learn about photography, share photos, and enter special contests.
The SINWP is not as popular as the SITPP, as the judges have had to choose from less than 300 photos, whereas the Street Photography 2013 contest amassed more than 1,100 images.
However, the latest photography contest has just ended and the grand prize winner and the runners-up have been revealed, too.
Spring Time Competition 2013 winner is Andrzej Bochenski
Without any further introduction, the winner of the Spring Time Competition 2013 is Andrzej Bochenski. The Poland-based photographer has been awarded a Trektech Optera 230 tripod, as well as a 12-month membership to a society of his choice.
Andrzej Bochenski submitted a beautiful photo of a small bird in action, which is exactly what this contest needed, as it is related to wildlife and nature. It surely depicts spring and its livelihood, which makes it the favorite season of numerous people.
Second place went to Slovenia-based Sabina Horvat
The second place has been grabbed by Sabina Horvat. The Slovenian photographer has also submitted a great photo to the Spring Time Competition 2013.
Sabina’s photo shows a clock sitting in a blooming tree, with the tree depicting another important trait of the spring.
Third spot grabbed by Egyptian photographer Wessam El-Sharkawy
Third place went to Wessam El-Sharkawy, a photographer from Egypt. His portrait of a beautiful flower has been enough to put him on the third spot, which will bring a 6-month membership to one of the societies. It is worth noting that the same prize has been awarded to the photographer on second place.
Last but not least, SINWP judges have selected 11 amazing photos and compiled a list of “highly commended images”. The winners as well as all other entries can be seen at SINWP’s official website.
